We've had a message from someone claiming to be Stuart Drummond, the man who was H'Angus the Monkey and became Mayor of Hartlepool. I'm not sure how to verify his identity. It could be like that time BBC News put the fella who had come for a job interview on air to talk about the Apple legal dispute.

England have got to throw a few punches back at India and throw them early, because it worked so well in 2022. India weren't expecting it and they didn't cope.

Of course, India will be expecting that but I think it's the best way for England to go about it.

It has taken some time but England have really grown into this tournament and that has been led by Jos Buttler, who has been leading from the front in his quiet but steely way.

The team is right behind him, you can really see it, and he's been a very impressive leader.

Jos Buttler is so determined to be on the front foot, to commit to aggression and I think if they do that, they will push India's buttons and make them implode.

As long as England can end the game knowing they committed to their approach, they went for it in the way that has served them so well for the past eight years, that's the main thing.

We talk about peaking at the right time in tournaments and that's where England are. They are in a good place, they have had some niggly games where they've found ways to win but that's a good experience to have under your belts as you go into knockout stages.

They look like they've really put the 50-over World Cup behind them.

The pressure is always on India no matter where they are in the world. The expectation is massive.

But these guys know how to handle that. It's part of the job.

I think there's a feeling that England have stumbled upon their best side, it didn't happen organically because they didn't start well. They have gone a little under the radar and now they will truly believe they can come and grab this game against India.

I'll be honest, I'm concerned for England. If this pitch is going to turn, how many can they chase against Axar, Kuldeep and Jadeja? That's without mentioning Bumrah.

David. No one, anywhere, ever thought that Meat Loaf was Pugsley Addams.

And you've just confessed to the entire world.

Go and think about what you've done.

Not sure if anyone else grew up thinking that Meat Loaf was Pugsley Addams in the Addams Family. I believed it for years. It was just a myth

Choosing to chase on a slow pitch seems risky but there is sense to it. It could swing early here with the dampness around and if more rain comes later you want to be batting when it comes to DLS calculations.

I'm more concerned England have one too many seamers for this surface.

India captain Rohit Sharma: "We would've batted first. It looks like good weather now, the weather seems clear now. It's a big game and we want to put runs on the board.

"It looks a little dry, I hope as the game goes on it gets slower and slower.

"We've managed pretty well with all the travelling. We need to get the job done now. It's a great opportunity for us.

"The mantra for us is to take things as they come, stay in the moment and let our ability do the talking."

England captain Jos Buttler: "It looks a decent surface, everyone's talked about some low bounce here but with the rain around this morning we think bowling first is an advantage.

"I hope so [peaking at right time], but we're up against a brilliant team today so we've got to be at our best.

"We are proud of our consistency in recent T20 World Cups but we are desperate to go all the way here. We're looking forward to a big challenge today against a great side.

"We're all very excited. A few of us have been in these situations before so we know what to expect and hope we are in for a good game."

The coin comes down in England's favour. No surprise that Jos Buttler chooses to field first. England are unchanged.

Remember the last T20 semi between these teams? England chased down a target with all 10 wickets to spare.

Meat Loaf could have been a great bowler, always pitching in line, going straight but a question of height, still 2 out of 3 isn't bad
