It looks brighter in Guyana. England are out playing football again. If the cricket is washed out, I'd back England to beat India in a game of football. Having said that, Virat Kohli brings his boots for the kickabout in the warm-up. Not even joking.

250 extra minutes… why not 4 hours? What could you do with the extra 10 minutes. I’d eat 4 jumbo sausage rolls.

I thought Meat Loaf was vegetarian?

He was brilliant in Fight Club. And Wayne's World.

Meat Loaf famously loved Hartlepool, by the way. He can’t be wrong.

They are two of the best teams in the tournament, rammed full of world-class talent.

I don't think either side would mind a shortened game, I don't think it would have too much bearing.

Surely the monkey wasn't from Hartlepool? That was kind of the point I thought, that they hadn't seen one before.

I hope the world’s leading umpire Michael Gough isn’t reading this, Stephan.

It’s suddenly looking very bright and sunny in Guyana.

As professional cricketers, they'll be very well-versed in rain delays and how you cope with them. But it does have an impact, it can disrupt your rhythm either with bat or ball.

But it's all about staying calm and staying in the moment. You don't want to waste too much energy in worrying about what could happen, what the weather's doing, what the permutations might be.

You want to keep your mind as calm as possible because these are huge games, it's a World Cup semi-final. So even when you're sat down not doing anything, your heart is always pumping and your mind is racing.

If it were me, I'd find a nice quiet corner for a snooze.

I once played in a game in the village of Ab Kettleby near Melton Mowbray in Leicestershire where 10 of the home team were called Turner! 9 of them were related and the tenth was a random Turner.

    Hi Matt!

Did you know that Matt is the third-most famous person to come from Hartlepool, behind Jeff Stelling and H'Angus the Monkey.

    Hello.

If we do get playing, expect a tricky pitch. This ground has the third-lowest batting average among all of the venues in this tournament.

Wrist spinners, like Adil Rashid and Kuldeep Yadav, do well here.

England think we'll see low bounce rather than turn big, however.

    Bring in Ben Duckett, anyone?

The timing of this match and the rain delay has thrown my meal times out. I've already had two lunches and I'm thinking about a third.
