Summary

  1. Postpublished at 13:00 26 June

    Sussex 369-7 - target 464

"I have never seen anything like this," says BBC Sussex's Adrian Harms.

Three more sixes for Louis Kimber off Fynn Hudson-Prentice in an over which cost the paceman 24 runs.

He has 16 not - just one short of Ben Stokes' record for a Championship innings.

Kimber surely won't want to go off for lunch - he is 190 not out.

  2. LANCASHIRE BEAT KENT BY AN INNINGS & 83 RUNSpublished at 12:57 26 June
    Breaking

    Kent 244 & 222 v Lancs 549-9 dec

Out! Charlie Stobo is bowled for a 151-ball 64 leaving a seaming ball just back of a length and Will Williams knocks the middle stump out of the ground.

    He finishes with 3-26.

A second win of the season for a rejuvenated Lancashire.

They take 23 points and move off the relegation zone no matter what happens elsewhere.

Josh Bohannon and Luke Wells will take a lot of plaudits for their huge centuries, indeed a double for Bohannon.

Lancashire's attack deserve a lot of credit for bowling Kent out twice for an aggregate of below 500 on a placid surface as well.

Kent remain firmly rooted to the bottom of the table with just a single point in this match.

  3. SURREY BEAT WORCS BY INNS & FIVE RUNSpublished at 12:51 26 June
    Breaking

    Worcestershire 212 & 273 v Surrey 490

All over at New Road as Jordan Clark bowls Adam Hose for 64 as he walks across his stumps and attempts a scoop shot.

It's the fifth win of the season for the reigning champions and Division One leaders, but Surrey had to work hard for it on the final morning.

Worcestershire resumed on 207-5 and added 68 in 26 overs before Clark wrapped up the match - giving him figures of 5-65.

A showdown with Essex at The Oval on Sunday is next for Surrey, with Worcestershire making the long trip north to face Durham.

  4. New ball taken at Canterburypublished at 12:51 26 June

    Kent 244 & 222-9 v Lancs 549-9 dec

Lancashire are trying to wrap this one up and Will Williams is back on with a new ball.

  5. Postpublished at 12:51 26 June

    Worcs 212 & 273-9 v Surrey 490

Because of all the Louis Kimber excitement, we missed Adam Hose's 50 off 121 balls for Worcestershire.

He pulls the first ball of a new Jordan Clark way over backward square for six and is now 64 not out.

  6. Second 50 of the match for Olly Stone!published at 12:49 26 June

    Nottinghamshire 360 & 288-1 v Somerset 470

Olly Stone swept Jack Leach for four to reach 49.

Then Jake Ball came into the attack and aptly is edged for four (Stone has benefited well from that area) to get to his half-century off 100 balls.

83 in the first dig for Stone do not forget!

  7. WICKET Donald c Davies b Bamber 2published at 12:48 26 June

    Middlesex v Derbys 70-5 - target 397

Caught behind! Middlesex are ripping through Derbyshire here.

Aneurin Donald tries to force Ethan Bamber away off the back foot and gets a thin edge to keeper Jack Davies standing up.

That's Bamber's third wicket of the innings.

    Anuj Dal is in next.

  8. WICKET: Barnard lbw b Fuller 4published at 12:48 26 June

    Warwks 254 & 113-5 v Hants 298 & 453-6 declared

James Fuller in on the act in his first over.

Ed Barnard stuck on the crease as that one angles in.

Sam Hain still there, Jacob Bethell joins him, but Hants five poles away from victory now

  9. Postpublished at 12:47 26 June

    Kent 244 & 221-9 v Lancs 549-9 dec

Three close catchers in for Nathan Lyon, bowling to number 11 Jas Singh.

He studiously watches the ball on to the bat as he goes forward to defend.

He has a go this time and slogs over wide mid on for four!

He goes again three balls later and just clears mid on for four more.

  10. 150 for Louis Kimberpublished at 12:45 26 June

    Leics 334-7 - target 464

Louis Kimber goes big again - Jack Carson dives full length on the boundary but can only palm it over the rope.

Kimber is 154 off 81 balls - and Leicestershire need another 131 for what would be a quite astonishing win.

Lewis Hill said last night that the Foxes would 'throw a few punches' - surely he didn't envisage quite this many.

They were 139-5 at the start of play.

  11. Postpublished at 12:45 26 June

    Leics 325-7 - target 464

We can't keep up with this.

Second six of the over for Louis Kimber.

He is just two runs short of 150 not out - and he wasn't even at the crease when play began in Hove.

  12. Postpublished at 12:44 26 June

    Leics 319-7 - target 464

    Here he goes again.

Nathan McAndrew bangs one in, Kimber pulls - it's a top edge but has enough on it to clear the rope at fine leg.

He then rotates the strike before despatching the first ball of the next from James Coles for his 10th maximum.

He has 140 from 78 balls.

  13. 50 for Dean Elgarpublished at 12:41 26 June

    Essex 72-2 (Target: 433) v Durham

Callum Parkinson has wheeled away all morning for Durham. Tight, tidy stuff with at least two catchers around the bat but no reward so far.

He errs too full outside off and Dean Elgar leans into a drive to time away the best stroke of the morning through cover.

It's a seventh four for the former South Africa captain and brings him fifty in 96 balls.

In truth, there haven't been many strokes at all with Essex assembling the barricades.

Tom Westley has also passed fifty - of balls faced. He's only 6 not out.

But they key stat is just one wicket to fall in the session so far - and it was only the nightwatchman Jamie Porter.

  14. 100 run partnership between Stone & Slaterpublished at 12:39 26 June

    Nottinghamshire 360 & 279-1 v Somerset 470

One of the easier partnerships Slater will have been a part of when a ton is involved, but Olly Stone not the man he would have expected to share it with.

Still no new ball for Somerset as Jack Leach returns.

    Notts lead by 169 now.

  15. WICKET Madsen b Bamber 7published at 12:37 26 June

    Middlesex v Derbys 66-4- target 397

Beautiful delivery from Ethan Bamber, who takes his second of the session.

Moving in, beating the defensive shot and clipping the top of off stump.

Wayne Madsen departs and Aneurin Donald is in next.

  16. Leicestershire pass 300published at 12:37 26 June

    Leics 305-7 - target 464

Louis Kimber pulls a short one from James Coles - it's in the air, but Sean Hunt cannot take the catch running in and it reaches the rope for four.

Four more follow from the next before Kimber smashes another six to bring up the 300 for Leicestershire.

Kimber is 127 not out off 75 balls - 16 fours, eight sixes. Leicestershire need another 159 to win.

  17. WICKET Garrett c Jennings b Wells 5published at 12:37 26 June

    Kent 244 & 212-9 v Lancs 549-9 dec

    Lancashire are nearly home.

This is an absolute peach of a ball from Luke Wells, with loop, flight and a hint of turn as the ball takes the outside edge of the bat and carries low to Keaton Jennings at first slip.

Far too good for George Garrett, who was forward trying to defend.

Number 11 Jas Singh is in.

  18. WICKET: Mouseley b Dawson c Vince 37published at 12:36 26 June

    Warwks 254 & 106-4 v Hants 298 & 453-6 declared

    Hants are six wickets away!

A bit of turn and bounce (read in a Michael Holding tone please) from Liam Dawson and easily held high by his yesterday record-breaking batting partner James Vince at slip.

1-8 off 1.3 for the quality left-arm spinner who I am surprised they did not turn to sooner today.

  19. Postpublished at 12:33 26 June

    Nottinghamshire 360 & 261-1 v Somerset 470

The new ball is available for Somerset immediately after Ben Slater reached that hundred but Craig Overton neglects the opportunity, just saving a bit of cash spent on balls with a draw now inevitable?

Andy Umeed now has two slips in place for the centurion, tidy bowling again from the Scotsman.

  20. WICKET Lloyd LBW b Brookes 22published at 12:33 26 June

    Middlesex v Derbys 60-3 - target 397

The pressure is telling here as David Lloyd is beaten by an absolute beauty from Henry Brookes that draws the forward defensive and just evades the edge of the bat.

And now the Derbyshire captain is out.

That ball moves in sharply back of a length and keeps low.

Really tough to play that and Lloyd is struck on the pad in front of middle. That ball was doing a lot. Close call, surely.

Time for Matt Lamb to have a bat.
