When you have a lower run chase, some teams can be a little bit complacent because they think they have loads of time.

Virat Kohli has said that he likes to win with overs to spare so that should be India's approach today.

  2. Ind 22-0published at 4 overs

That's 11,000 runs in ODIs for Rohit Sharma - the fourth Indian to reach the landmark, and the second fastest behind Virat

He turns Mustafizur's first delivery down to fine leg for four, adds two with a pull, then lifts the Bangladesh left-armer through an empty long-on for the boundary that takes him past 11k.

He finally adds a single behind square for good measure, retaining the strike.

There's a smile on Gill's face. He used his feet nicely and Taskin just hasn't found that line yet. He has struggled to get into his rhythm so far.

There's great movement and bounce off the pitch with the new ball, especially on such a dry pitch. This is what Taskin needs to take advantage of.

  5. Ind 11-0published at 3 overs

Four more from Shubman Gill, advancing down the pitch to lift Taskin over the cover ring for four.

He inside edges the next delivery, but doesn't trouble the stumps.

That was textbook Fiz, cutting in ever so slightly. That's a good sign.

  7. Ind 6-0published at 2 overs

Left-arm seamer Mustafizur Rahman takes the ball at the other end, and immediately strikes Rohit Sharma on the pads.

He appeals, but bowling over the wicket to the right-hander will make it difficult to pick lbws up, and he gets nothing out of the umpire.

No matter, he fizzes two balls past Rohit's outside edge, then draws a massive air shot from the India captain after sending down a wider one.

His final ball is closer to the body though, and Rohit works it square for a single.

I think India will be confident but will know they still have work to do and it's not done and dusted.

  9. Ind 5-0published at 1 over

A first boundary for India as Shubman Gill punches the short ball to ground and off to the square leg boundary.

The required run-rate, by the way, is 4.57 an over.

  10. Ind 1-0published at 0.1 overs

Ha, a mirror of the first ball of Bangladesh's innings.

Rohit inside edges a rising delivery from Taskin towards his stumps but gets away with it, as the ball runs away for a single.

Rohit Sharma is marking out his guard in the middle, while the spider camera swoops around his head.

Shubman Gill is at the non-striker's end, while Taskin Ahmed will open the bowling.

India's chase of 229 is about to begin.

Taskin Ahmed is very talented and he can move the new ball. He's a tall guy and hits the deck hard. They will need early wickets to make this India line-up play more cautiously.

The pitch did take some spin but with the quality of India's batting, they should feel confident.

Like Towhid Hridoy, I'm feeling a bit fatigued after the second half of Bangladesh's innings so time for a break.

Fortunately, Mike Peter is refreshed, reenergised and ready to talk you through the interval and the first part of India's chase.

Bangladesh were in big trouble at 35-5. It really was a tremendous effort from Towhid Hridoy, whose maiden ODI century has given his side a chance here.

  17. India set 229 for victorypublished at 12:43 Greenwich Mean Time 20 February

Towhid Hridoy slowly drags himself off the field at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. He's absolutely knackered.

Mohammed Shami finished with figures of 5-53 and he leads India off the field.

India need 229 to win this one.

The drop catches early on have really cost India. Bangladesh shouldn't have got anywhere near this total.

India are going to have to bat well to chase this down, but they will still be favourites with the class they have in their side.

Towhid Hridoy connects with another slower delivery from Harshit Rana this time, but can only send it skywards behind square.

Mohammed Shami shuffles round then belatedly realises he has to make up more ground than he initially thought to take the catch.

Hridoy has free reign now to just get a few more hits that hopefully run away. Mustafizur is not an accomplished batter so it's really up to Hridoy to just pick up what he can.

India will not want anymore freebies.
