Rishad can give it a whack when he wants to and there's lots of applause from the Bangladesh dugout.

Some of those India mistakes are proving costly now, they are surely regretting not taking them.

    Fetch that!

After a few sighters Rishad Hossain has now got his eye in.

He twice muscles Axar Patel over cow corner for six. They were big 'uns!

    Ban 196-6published at 44.2 overs

Towhid Hridoy with a dive to make to his ground after setting off for a brisk single.

He's scraped his arm, grimaces, and the physio is on to take a look to make sure he's okay.

  4. Ban 192-6published at 44 overs

A big heave from Rishad Hossain off the final ball of Kuldeep Yadav's over but it's a fresh-air shot.

  5. Rishad survivespublished at 43.2 overs

Pitched outside the line and Rishad Hossain survives.

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli look slightly miffed. Perhaps more out of frustration at how long Bangladesh have managed to drag this out.

Rishad doesn't look too worried as this is sent upstairs. There's lots of changes being made in the field by Rohit Sharma even while this is being decided.

  7. India reviewpublished at 43.2 overs

Not a lot of conviction on the faces of India's players as they await the decision. No bat involved.

Bangladesh should be wise enough to see what has worked on this surface.

Taskin Ahmed has a huge armoury of variation which will suit this surface, so it is a good choice to bring him in. We might see some more Bangladesh pacers later in the tournament.

  10. Ban 189-6published at 43 overs

Rishad Hossain has been padded up for a long time, he now finally arrives at the crease.

There's two balls left of Shami's over to face, and he fends both of them away.

The partnership is finally broken. Jaker made the most of the time given to him by Rohit Sharma when he was dropped early on. He changed into a hitting position and started going deep in his crease.

It was good bowling from Shami, he didn't give Jaker anything to work with and Kohli was never going to drop that.

    Jaker c Kohli b Shami 68 (Ban 189-6)

Jaker Ali attempts to pull Mohammed Shami from outside off stump and is caught in the deep by Virat Kohli, who scuttles around from long-on and makes a slightly tricky catch looks simple.

Shami has 200 ODI wickets! He points two hands to the sky in celebration.

Although India should have bowled Bangladesh out for under 150, they are still in the stronger position. But it has been excellent from Bangladesh to recover like this.

Jaker has played more conservatively while Hridoy, who is used to playing a longer innings, possibly has the energy reserve to go for it a bit more.

  14. Ban 187-5published at 42.3 overs

The 200-mark is in sight for Bangladesh. That did not look likely when they were 35-5.

Towhid Hridoy heaves Mohammed Shami for four through mid-wicket.

Shami shakes his head in disgust after Harshit Rana allows the ball to squrim through his grasp after a diving stop. Next ball and Harshit makes amends with a good stop.

Hridoy has taken the game to India.

Hardik Pandya goes short to Towhid Hridoy, who is on the move and has to adjust his shot. The Bangladesh batter ends up swatting the ball like a fly to deep mid-wicket for a couple.

He and Jaker Ali content to knock the remainder of the over into the gaps.

Hridoy has shown some measured aggression since he passed fifty a little earlier.

This intent is what we want to see. Hridoy has really pulled this back and it is really important for him to stay in this game.

This counter-attack has maybe nudged India to tighten up. India have created chances but put a few down and it could have been all over if they had managed to dismiss Jaker or Hridoy.

  18. Ban 176-5published at 41 overs

Mohammed Shami is brought back into the attack.

His first ball is short and Jaker Ali rolls his wrists over the top of a pull shot to the fence. Axar Patel probably should have stopped it, but rather causally stuck a boot out and not much more.

A couple balls later and Towhid Hridoy emphatically pulls Shami over the fielder at mid-wicket for another four.

Worth 141 runs this is now the highest-sixth wicket partnership in Champions Trophy history.

Towhid Hridoy was part of the Bangladesh Under-19 World Cup-winning side in 2020 and while he's still only playing his 34th ODI, his numbers are trending in the right direction. Just last year he made a career-best 96* against Sri Lanka, though he did struggle in a bilateral series against Afghanistan in November.
