Jamie Overton has got quicker as the day goes on as he finds a rhythm.

'Beautifully played' - Sudharsan guides Overton bouncer away to third man for four

You could have asked for a picture, Marcus. Poor Jamie had you taking a photo of the back of his head and now he's been chopped for four by India's number three Sai Sudharsan.

I saw Jamie Overton on the District Line this morning, changing at Embankment to take the Northern Line to Oval - wearing full kit and with a very fresh trim.

The India batters have a bit of a chat after a little mix-up over the running. They wouldn't want another run-out, having already lost their skipper in that fashion.

I used to see a dentist call Graeme Swann. Surely that counts?

If you're being critical of England today, there have been a few too many poor balls an over. There have been some good ones but not enough to really apply the pressure.

Jamie Overton, starting from the Vauxhall End after the restart, jags one back over off stump but also gifts a leg-stump half-volley to allow Karun Nair to get off the mark.

A brilliant delivery from Gus Atkinson. It's a little bit quicker.

Just a bit of life there for England.

Good from Gus Atkinson who hits Sai Sudharsan's pad. There's an appeal but only a half-hearted one with Jamie Smith signalling that the ball would have missed leg stump.

    He's probably right.

The grey overcast has disappeared. The other thing when it's wet is if it holds the water when it goes in the outfield, it can soften up a bit.

Kieran has only given us half a story there. We need to know Sir Alastair's meal deal choice.

The sun is now out as Atkinson gets into his rhythm.

I met Michael Vaughan in a Tesco Express in Worcester one morning. Great times!

Once saw Sir Alistair Cook buying a M&S meal deal in Chelmsford.

    Kieran in Norwich

Saw Alex Lees in his Durham kit at Aldi in Chester-le-Street. Think he nipped out mid match to get something but oddly Otis Gibson wearing his South Africa coaching kit in the same store, but different days. One more, Ben Stokes at the self checkout at Sainsbury's in Durham. He is taller than you think.

The clouds are a lot higher than they were now. There's even a suggestion we may get some sunshine.

Gus Atkinson has the ball in hand. He was the best England bowler by a mile earlier.

While you all send me your times I met a cricketer in a supermarket stories I have news.

Play will restart at 16:45 BST if there is no more rain. It can continue to 19:30.

I bumped into Kiwi umpire Chris Gaffaney in a supermarket earlier this year. He was surveying the options in the takeaway food section.

It's not the most thrilling 'day I met a VIP/cricketer' story, I accept.
