    Lawes c Davies b Webster 7 (Warks 665-5 dec v Surrey 346-9)

  3. 'Yorkshire bowling well'published at 17:56 British Summer Time 11 May

    Essex 123 & 42-2 v Yorks 216 & 426-6 dec

    Dick Davies
    BBC Essex

All the Yorkshire bowlers have bowled very well.

It's often the way that all the bowlers bowl well but for some reason one will have more wickets than the others.

Sometimes it's the pressure created by all the bowlers, it's very much a team effort.

  4. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:55 British Summer Time 11 May

    Westley lbw Hill 18 (Essex 42-2 - target 520 v Yorks)

Six wickets in the first innings and now an important one in this for George Hill.

Tom Westley is lbw to one that may have kept a little low and Essex have lost their two most experienced batters with 15 overs left today.

Northamptonshire celebrate the wicket of Josh Bohannon

A first win of the campaign for Northants is brought up as Will Williams edges Liam Guthrie to Lewis McManus who takes the catch.

It is a first win over Lancs since September 2005 and it is doubly sweet given it allows them to swap places with their visitors at the bottom of the Division Two table.

Lancashire will kick themselves having put a victory within reach having been in control both in Northants second innings when they had them 189-7 and again in their chase when Marcus Harris and Josh Bohannon were coasting towards a 236 target at 116-2.

But on the first occasion an astonishing assault with the bat from Ben Sanderson who struck 65 from 28 balls wrenched momentum back to Northants.

And then with the ball Calvin Harrison removed both set batsmen before going on to take 4-32.

  6. 50 runs

50 for Libbypublished at 17:51 British Summer Time 11 May

    Sussex 284 & 256 v Worcs 180 & 105-2

Jake Libby helps himself to three consecutive fours off some increasingly loose bowling from James Hayes.

The first brings up his 50, the second Worcs' 100 and the third nothing in particular but Hayes could be due a rest now.

  7. Postpublished at 118 overs

    Warks 665-6 dec v Surrey 339-8

You might say this is intimidatory stuff, but if you grew up watching the great West Indies quicks it's a happy reminder of something we don't see too much of in the modern game.

Che Simmons bangs another one into the deck and it flicks off Tom Lawes' helmet on its way over the keeper for four leg-byes.

  8. Simmons shakes up Foakespublished at 117.3 overs

    Warks 665-6 dec v Surrey 334-8

    Che SimmonsImage source, Rex Features

Che Simmons really has his dander up now.

Ben Foakes tries a pull shot but he's too late on the shot and is fortunate that is doesn't fly off the glove to short leg.

The physio comes out with the 'magic spray' and we have a brief hold-up.

  9. Postpublished at 17:41 British Summer Time 11 May

    Essex 27 -1 - target 520 v Yorks

Charlie Allison flips a leg stump delivery by Ben Coad fine for four.

He is 14 not out and there are 18 more overs remaining in the day's play.

Essex cannot afford any further loss.

  10. 'Hampshire completely outplayed'published at 17:37 British Summer Time 11 May

    Notts 333 & 345 v Hants 196 & 116

    Kevan James
    BBC Radio Solent commentator

Hampshire have been outplayed in every department. It's been a horrible three days from a Hampshire point of view.

It's their fourth-ever highest margin of defeat, that gives you an idea of just how much they've been outplayed, they even had a former player doing well against them.

From a Hampshire point of view, it's not been great but you have to move on. In three days time, we go to Warwickshire and somehow you just have to put this behind you.

Hopefully we will learn from the mistakes we made in this game.

  11. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:35 British Summer Time 11 May

    Nicholls c Simpson b Hayes 34 (Worcs 88-2, target 361)

A breakthrough just when it Worcs were starting to believe and it is a first first class wicket for James Hayes.

Henry Nicholls is furious with himself there, drawn into hooking at a short ball outside leg stump but getting a feather on it.

John Simpson was following the ball down leg and grabbed the chance.

Worcs now need to consolidate to the close but Sussex will believe another is there for the taking tonight in order to shift momentum further their way.

  12. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 115.4 overs

    Smith c Hain b Simmons 0 (Warks 665-5 dec v Surrey 331-8)

Leg theory does the job for Che Simmons.

Nathan Smith is shaken up by that one and can only fend it off, with Sam Hain taking the catch at leg slip.

There are another 12 overs left after this one.

  13. 'Incredible team effort from Notts'published at 17:31 British Summer Time 11 May

    Notts 333 & 345 v Hants 196 & 116

    Dave Bracegirdle
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

There's a warm applause from the crowd, what a team effort that has been.

Notts have been missing a few players, but Liam Patterson-White has come to the party today with a career best 135.

It's not been a great few days up in the East Midlands for Hampshire.

Notts confirm their residency at the top of Division One is no fluke by completing a comprehensive thumping of Hampshire with over a day to spare.

Sonny Baker is the final wicket to fall top edging a delivery from Liam Patterson-White with Farhan Ahmed doing the honours taking the catch.

It was a match which featured superb contributions with the ball from Mo Abbas, taking 5-31 in the first innings against his old side on his debut for Notts, and Kyle Abbott 5-57 and eight in the match.

There were also centuries with the bat in Notts second innings from Liam Patterson-White and Jack Haynes.

But ultimately it was the contribution from Freddie McCann, whose 138 in the first innings after Notts were put into bat, ensured the hosts were able to post a 137 first innings lead.

There will be, and should be, recriminations about the manner of a second innings collapse by Ben Brown's Hampshire side with them never displaying the application to take this into a fourth day.

For all that Lyndon James took 5-22 and Brett Hutton 4-56 rarely will the pair take cheaper wickets than they did in helping to shell out Hampshire on the way to their fourth highest ever margin of defeat.

  15. Women's One-Day Cup latestpublished at 17:28 British Summer Time 11 May

Wins today for Durham, Hampshire and Lancashire, while Surrey appear on course to beat Somerset at Taunton.

Durham chased down a target o4 244 to beat Warwickshire by three wickets, while Emma Lamb's 74 helped the Red Rose defeat The Blaze by four wickets.

At the Utilita Bowl, Hampshire made 273-5 and Essex came up short by 17 runs, despite Grace Scrivens scoring 101 off 120 balls.

  16. Postpublished at 17:24 British Summer Time 11 May

    Essex 19-1 - target 520 v Yorks

Long shadows across the ground now as Charlie Allison punches a short one from Jack White away to the boundary.

  17. 6 runs

Two sixes for Bakerpublished at 17:23 British Summer Time 11 May

    Notts 333 & 345 v Hants 196 & 116-9

Sonny Baker is determined to go down in a blaze of glory and has launched two huge sixes off Liam Patterson-White to move to 27 off 42 balls.

  18. Worcestershire make 'good start'published at 17:19 British Summer Time 11 May

    Sussex 284 & 256 v Worcs 180 & 75-1

    Adrian Harms
    BBC Sussex

A good start from Worcestershire in pursuit of 361 to win.

Despite the loss of Gareth Roderick, Jake Libby and Henry Nicholls have dug in reducing the target to less than 300

The pitch is still favouring the seamers, with a hint of turn for Jack Carson, but if these two can see the visitors to the close we could be in for an interesting day tomorrow

  19. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:18 British Summer Time 11 May

    Phillip c & b Harrison 1 (Lancs 144-9, target 236)

Anderson Phillip goes down on one knee to Calvin Harrison to attempt a slog sweep but skies a top edge which the bowler collects off his own bowling towards mid on.

Northants are one wicket from a win which will be a first of the campaign and enough for them to swap places with Lancashire at the bottom of the Division Two table.

  20. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 111.4 overs

    Clark c Davies b Simmons 0 (Warks 665-5 dec v Surrey 331-7)

    What an unusual dismissal.

Che Simmons bangs on in short at Jordan Clark, who drops his hands but leaves the bat semi-perpendicular and the ball flicks the back of it on the way through to keeper Alex Davies.

A bonus wicket for Warwickshire as Clark goes for a golden duck.
