  1. Surrey pass 300published at 102.5 overs

    Warks 665-5 dec v Surrey 306-5

Cameron Steel collects a single off Ed Barnard as Surrey earn their second batting point by reaching 300.

An emphatic, short arm pull for four follows later in the over as Steel advances to 44 not out - Ben Foakes is on 50 at the other end.

  2. dropped catch

Albert dropped on 4published at 16:33 British Summer Time 11 May

    Notts 333 & 345 v Hants 196 & 58-5 (target 483)

    Was that a chance? Yes.

An edge from Toby Albert, on 4, off Lyndon James flashes between Kyle Verreynne and Joe Clarke with the latter getting a hand on it before it races down for a boundary.

    Difficult but catchable.

  3. Tea at Wantage Roadpublished at 16:28 British Summer Time 11 May

    Northants 238 & 273 v Lancs 276 & 132-5 (target 236)

The break cannot come soon enough for Lancs who need to regroup after losing three for 15 runs in seven overs before tea.

With 236 needed for the win Lancs have thrown away a decent position at 116-2 slumping to 132-5 but one good partnership can still put them back on track.

  4. GLAMORGAN BEAT KENT BY INNS & 161 RUNSpublished at 16:24 British Summer Time 11 May
    Breaking

    Kent 212 & 176 v Glamorgan 549-9 declared

Glamorgan register their first win of the season - and biggest by an innings in a Championship game in the 21st century.

Man of the moment Ben Kellaway finishes things off by having Kashif Ali caught by Andy Gorvin for 32, adding 2-18 to his unbeaten 181 in Glamorgan's innings.

Kent had to follow on despite Chris Benjamin's unbeaten 94 and produced another largely undistinguished batting effort second time around.

Glamorgan, who take 23 points, will be at home to Northants in their next game on Friday, while Kent travel to Bristol.

  5. Tea at Chelmsfordpublished at 16:23 British Summer Time 11 May

    Essex 123 v Yorkshire 216 & 411-5

    Jonny BairstowImage source, Rex Features

Yorkshire's total passes 400 as Jonny Bairstow pulls Shane Snater for six. He follows that by walking across his stumps to paddle a boundary to fine leg.

The Tykes go off for tea with a lead of 504, having added 297 runs in 64 overs since resuming on 114-1 at the start of play.

Adam Lyth hit a brilliant 185 before chipping a catch to mid-off, adding 153 with James Wharton (61) and 72 with Jonny Tattersall (31).

Bairstow is 70 not out at tea and the lead is 504.

  6. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:20 British Summer Time 11 May

    Gubbins c Hameed b James 12 (Notts 333 & 345 v Hants 196 & 44-5)

A horrible passage of play for Hants who lose a third wicket for seven runs in 11 balls either side of tea.

Lyndon James gets a second wicket as Nick Gubbins drives tamely to Haseeb Hameed at short cover.

This is in danger of being all over before the end of day three.

  7. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:16 British Summer Time 11 May

    Brown c Ahmed b Hutton 4 (Notts 333 & 345 v Hants 196 & 40-4)

Notts have a breakthrough after tea.

That was a horrible shot, too, as Ben Brown tries to swat Brett Hutton, reaching for it and skying it to Farhan Ahmed close in at midwicket.

The fielder sets himself and takes a comfortable catch.

  8. 50 runs

for Jonny Bairstowpublished at 16:15 British Summer Time 11 May

    Essex 123 v Yorks 216 & 391-5

A third 50 of the season for Yorkshire's captain arrives off 60 balls with a single, pushed to mid-wicket, from the bowling of Matt CRitchley.

Matthew Revis brings out his square cut again later in the over and finds the boundary.

Yorkshire's lead is 488. Will the declaration come at tea?

  9. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:12 British Summer Time 11 May

    Bohannon lbw b Harrison 41 (Lancs 131-5, target 236)

Lovely bit of bowling from Calvin Harrison. He goes wide on the crease and floats a perfect delivery to pin Josh Bohannon.

In company with Marcus Harris, Bohannon had looked a likely anchor on this chase but now both are gone.

Harrison has 2-13 from his five overs.

    Warks 665-5 dec v Surrey 279-5

    Melinda Farrell

Warwickshire have done well. They've managed to chip in and stop anyone from getting completely wedded in at the stumps.

  11. Postpublished at 97.2 overs

    Warks 665-5 dec v Surrey 279-5

Warwickshire probably won't mind if Cameron Steel keeps playing shots like that.

He tries to pull Ed Barnard and skies it over the slips and down to third man for four off a top edge.

The next one is a good delivery and just evades the outside edge.

  12. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:08 British Summer Time 11 May

    Parkinson c and b Kellaway 4 (Kent 212 & 140-9 v Glamorgan 549-9 dec)

He scored an unbeaten 181 earlier in the game and now Ben Kellaway is chipping in with wickets for Glamorgan as well.

Matt Parkinson tries some sort of lofted drive but hits it straight back to Kellaway, who takes the catch.

    Kent on the brink.

  13. Tea at Hovepublished at 16:07 British Summer Time 11 May

    Sussex 284 & 256 v Worcs 180 & 11-1

The hosts will be pleased with their position at the break between sessions after splitting the opening partnership with the wicket of Gareth Roderick.

His erstwhile partner Jake Libby has thrown down the anchor with 2 from 17 balls and in Henry Nicholls has a batsman well capable of concentrating.

Ari Karvelas delivered the wicket and has looked dangerous not least of which literally when he let two beamers loose.

At the other end Ollie Robinson has kept it tight conceding just four runs in his four before tea.

  14. Postpublished at 16:03 British Summer Time 11 May

    Warks 665-5 dec v Surrey 275-5

The final session is about to begin at Edgbaston.

Warwickshire will want all - or most - of these remaining Surrey wickets before the close, if possible.

But Ben Foakes (42) and Cameron Steel (25) are well established and have added exactly 60 so far.

  15. Tea at Trent Bridgepublished at 16:02 British Summer Time 11 May

    Notts 333 & 345 v Hants 196 and 33-3 (target 451)

Hants limp in to the session break listing badly and need to work out a strategy to get through the next 10 overs without losing the game.

The ball has done plenty for Brett Hutton and Mo Abbas and now Lyndon James has weighed in with a wicket to get them three down.

Batting should become easier when the ball softens but it is getting there that is the problem.

  16. Postpublished at 107.4 overs

    Essex 123 v Yorks 216 & 365-5

Two square cuts for four in this latest Matt Critchley over by Matthew Revis. He is 15 not out and Jonny Bairstow has 42. The lead is 458.

  17. 'Roderick was put under a lot of pressure'published at 15:55 British Summer Time 11 May

    Sussex 284 & 256 v Worcs 180 & 7-1

    Liam O'Brien
Cricketer for England PD Team on BBC Sussex

Big celebration for Karvelas and that's the first wicket for Sussex. There's a big round of applause from the Sussex fans.

I think it's the inswinger that's done him, it swung back in very late. Roderick was put under a lot of pressure there and he just pushed for that one.

  18. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:54 British Summer Time 11 May

    Muyeye lbw Harris 41 (Kent 212 & 134-8 v Glamorgan 549-9 dec)

Full length from James Harris, Tawanda Muyeye plays all around it and is gone. Umpire Sue Redfern has absolutely no doubt about that one. We are entering the next to final chapter in Canterbury.

  19. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:52 British Summer Time 11 May

    Prest c Verreynne b James 9 (Notts 333 & 345 v Hants 196 & 33-3)

On the stroke of tea Notts have another.

Tom Prest has looked a little uncomfortable in this innings and he has had a flat batted swipe outside of off stump and nicked it.

Hants need to buckle down while this ball is still newish but will have the interval to regroup.

  20. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:50 British Summer Time 11 May

    Hurst b Conway 0 (Lancs 117-4, target 236)

And it's two in four balls as Lancs stumble. Matty Hurst lasts two balls before he is beaten by Harry Conway.

    Big momentum shift.
