Cheers Sam! A beautiful late summer evening at Headingley awaits - can the Originals chase this down? Phil Salt and co will hope so...

After all that excitement, I'll hand you over to Tom Rostance for the chase. This one feels right in the balance to me...

  3. Originals need 140 to winpublished at 19:53 British Summer Time 26 August

Manchester Originals will have been much the happier side for most of that innings but the brilliant partnership between David Miller and Samit Patel means this game is back in the balance.

Jimmy Anderson bowled well for Originals, taking his first two wickets in The Hundred, and he probably should have had a couple more - George Garton might want to avoid him in the dressing room...

Tom Aspinwall was also excellent, taking his first three Hundred wickets, and there were another two for Josh Tongue.

But Samit's 42 from 19 balls means momentum is with the Superchargers at the halfway stage.

If you had offered the Superchargers 139 at the beginning they would have said no way. But after 50 balls, they would have taken that all the way.

  5. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 100 balls

    Potts b Aspinwall 0 (Superchargers 139-8)

Brilliant yorker and Tom Aspinwall takes three-for.

Strong last couple of balls for the Lancashire man at Headingley and Matthew Potts is cleaned up.

Northern Superchargers have got themselves up to a very handy total, though, largely thanks to Samit Patel and David Miller.

  6. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 99 balls

    Patel c McKinney b Aspinwall 42 (Superchargers 139-7)

The end of a superb knock from Samit Patel.

Heaved leg side again by the experienced right-hander but not timed and Benn McKinney dives forward to take the catch.

    Another wicket for Tom Aspinwall.

Tom Aspinwall has bowled some smart deliveries tonight. He has got to try and stay away from the Samit Patel slap.

  8. Superchargers 139-6published at 98 balls

    Samit Patel goes again!

Walloped out to cow corner for four more.

  9. Superchargers 135-6published at 97 balls

Just two singles from the first two balls from Tom Aspinwall.

Three to go, Samit Patel back on strike...

  10. Superchargers 133-6published at 95 balls

Manchester Originals aren't happy but the umpires tell them they've not got through the innings quickly enough so another fielder will have to come up.

Tom Lawes is the new batter and gets off the mark with a single.

Samit Patel on strike for the last five balls. Tom Aspinwall will bowl them.

A good catch from Ben McKinney as the sun is setting in his eyes. A brilliant cameo from David Miller.

  12. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 94 balls

    Miller c McKinney b Tongue 30 (Superchargers 132-6)

Middles it - straight to the man in the deep.

David Miller could not have hit it any better and a yard or two either side and it was six.

Instead, it goes straight to Ben McKinney on the extra cover boundary. Another wicket for Josh Tongue.

These are really difficult balls to bowl up the hill at Headingley. Your margin for error is so small and if it is in the slot the batter will smack it.

Fetch that. That is almost over the terrace!

Freddie Flintoff's team talk was clearly just to hit sixes.

    That. Is. Huge.

Right in David Miller's arc from Josh Tongue and the South African left-hander demolishes it.

Almost over the Western Terrace entirely.

More catches (12) have been dropped at Headingley in this year’s Hundred than at any other ground. Just 69% of chances have been taken.

Samit Patel's heart would have been in his mouth for that delivery.

    Superchargers 124-5published at 90 balls

    Goodness me, what's happened there?!

Wild delivery from Scott Currie. He loses control of it and a full toss flies past Samit Patel, just above waist height and down leg to the boundary.

No-ball. Free hit... clubbed over cow corner by Patel. He's enjoying himself!

  19. 6 runs

    Superchargers 111-5published at 88 balls

    Nailed it!

Low full toss and David Miller clobbers it over long-on for six.

He's making Originals pay for that dropped catch.

  20. 6 runs

    Superchargers 103-5published at 85 balls

    Of course.

Next ball after a drop, the ball flies away for six! Samit Patel adds to Jimmy Anderson's frustration with a mammoth blow over the leg side.

A wry smile from Anderson. He ends with 2-20 from his 20 balls. It could have been four-for.
