Jimmy Anderson cannot believe it. That is as easy as you get on the boundary.

  2. Miller dropped on 13published at 83 balls

    Superchargers 96-5

Oh dear. George Garton has dropped a goober!

Jimmy Anderson goes back of a length to David Miller, who pulls it out to the leg side.

It should be a simple catch at deep backward square but Garton has grassed it... that's two he's put down off Jimmy tonight.

Strategic timeout taken and Superchargers head coach Freddie Flintoff is out there talking to David Miller and Samit Patel.

With 20 balls left, I'm not sure the message can be much else other than 'give it a whack!'

That wasn't pretty but it was effective. Samit Patel did a good job to split the fielders and you can hear the crowd getting behind their home team.

  5. 6 runs

    Superchargers 94-5published at 80 balls

    That's gone a long way!

Samit Patel clears the front leg and launches Ish Sodhi high and handsome over cow corner for six!

Not so handsome next ball as Samit gets himself into a tangle but still manages to pull the ball into the gap for four.

Northern Superchargers need an explosive finish for the bowlers to have a good go at. No-one has really got going above a run a ball so far.

  8. Superchargers 83-5published at 75 balls

With 25 balls left and David Miller and Samit Patel at the crease, Northern Superchargers will still be hopeful of an explosive finish.

It won't be easy on this pitch, though.

    Steven Finn
Former England fast bowler on BBC Two

Samit Patel was onto that quickly and got into a good position. I am not sure I have seen anyone as deep in their crease as he was there.

  10. Superchargers 80-5published at 72 balls

Bumper from Josh Tongue and Samit Patel nails it in front of square, on the pull, for four.

A very welcome boundary for the home side.

It is easy to forget just how different playing on different pitches can be. Some days you can be stroking well and the ball is coming out the bat nicely and other days it is a grind and you are not that fluent.

  12. Superchargers 76-5published at 70 balls

Samit Patel is the new batter for Northern Superchargers.

He can hit the ball many a mile but, on this surface, doing so is easier said than done.

Superchargers will have had to adjust what they consider a good total and have 30 balls to try and get themselves up to whatever that may be - 130? More?

  13. How's stat?!published at 19:21 British Summer Time 26 August

Northern Superchargers are struggling to get under new inclusion Tom Aspinwall. His average release point is just 1.91m, the fourth lowest of any seamer in the competition.

Tom Aspinwall has bowled good changes of pace. He has gone wider and taken out the players who like to ramp.

Michael Pepper tried to force his timing and overhit.

  15. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 67 balls

    Pepper c Buttler b Aspinwall 8 (Superchargers 73-5)

Edged... and Jos Buttler takes the catch diving to his right.

A thoroughly deserved first Hundred wicket for Tom Aspinwall.

He throws this one out wide of off, tempts Michael Pepper into the drive and finds the edge.

Good catch from Buttler and Originals look to be well on top now.

  16. 'This is not the normal Headingley wicket'published at 19:19 British Summer Time 26 August

Northern Superchargers coach Neil McKenzie speaking on BBC Two: "This is not looking like the normal Headingley wicket we are used to where you are looking to get 180 plus. It looks like a bit of a grind and the wicket is stoppy and not easy for strokemaking. Hopefully we can scrape to 140 or 150.

"The Originals are a quality side and they have a lot of star performers. We have our work cut out but we still have plenty of batters in the dugout. We are confident we can get something to defend.

"I won't be bringing out anymore of my superstitions, but we will have to see if we lose any more wickets!"

  17. Superchargers 73-4published at 65 balls

It's 12 balls since the last boundary and it's becoming a real struggle for Northern Superchargers.

Scott Currie ends with two dot balls as Originals continue to squeeze.

  18. Superchargers 69-4published at 60 balls

Pace off remains the go-to option for the Originals.

Tom Aspinwall is the latest seamer to use his slower balls to good effect. Four singles from his five as David Miller and Michael Pepper struggle get this Superchargers innings moving again.

  19. 6 runs

    Superchargers 65-4published at 55 balls

In the slot from Ish Sodhi and David Miller swings the ball away into the Western Terrace!

The first six of the evening!

Good diving stop from Jimmy Anderson to end the set. Not a bad one for the Originals despite that six.

    Carlos Brathwaite
Former West Indies all-rounder on BBC Two

Taking some pace off is a good ploy from the Originals. They have been mixing things up really well today.

The pitch could be the catalyst for this somewhat reckless batting from the Superchargers.
