You can see the frustration on Harry Brook's face. He is not happy with his rhythm so far.

He will have wanted more boundaries in this powerplay.

  2. Superchargers 30-2published at 24 balls

Harry Brook ends up in a heap on the floor after going a long way across his stumps and attempted that fine sweep/ scoop shot.

The ball comes off the toe-end of the bat and trickles into the leg side.

Couple of slower balls and Anderson is doing well to limit the runs late in this powerplay.

  3. 'It is a great crowd out here'published at 18:48 British Summer Time 26 August

Manchester Originals all-rounder Rachin Ravindra speaking on the player's mic on BBC Two: "This is a fantastic tournament and it's nice to get the atmosphere of the English crowds. It is a great crowd as always out here."

On Jimmy Anderson: "It is surreal to share a dressing room with him. You watch him as a kid so it is unbelievable. In person he is not as grumpy as he looks!

"We want to keep the squeeze on and get as many dots as we can with aggressive fields."

On the 100 ball format: "It is interesting. Things happen quickly and you can find yourself facing 10 balls in a row so you have to commit to your calmness in-between balls. You have to find your way and stay as chill as possible."

  4. Superchargers 27-2published at 21 balls

Into the last five of the powerplay and Jimmy Anderson is back into the attack...

You know that once Harry Brook gets going he has the potential to go berserk.

  6. Superchargers 26-2published at 20 balls

It's taken until his fifth ball but Harry Brook is off the mark in a typically stylish manner.

The Superchargers skipper gives himself room and then uses the pace of Josh Tongue to uppercut the ball over short third.

He doesn't get all of it but the ball still gets the to the boundary quickly enough.

When you see Zak Crawley play, you do feel as though there is a white-ball cricketer there. Especially for 50-over cricket.

Zak Crawley has been in fine touch at the top of the order. He has scored 160 powerplay runs this season and he has looked good out there and capitalised.

  10. Superchargers 18-2published at 15 balls

Zak Crawley is on the drive - surprise, surprise - and gets the ball past backward point to the boundary.

Good five from George Garton, though. Just one more single from the left-arm seamer's set.

  11. Superchargers 13-2published at 10 balls

Superb ball to finish the 10-ball set from Jimmy Anderson.

Length ball that just nips away and causes Harry Brook to play a miss. Excellent start from Anderson and the Originals.

Dan Lawrence was not happy with that. He is going off shaking his head but it is still hitting the stumps.

If the batter wasn't there, that would have sent middle stump cartwheeling.

    Lawrence lbw b Anderson 8 (Superchargers 13-2)

Umpire's call and it's two for Jimmy Anderson!

Dan Lawrence isn't happy but there's no bat involved as he was beaten on the inside edge by one that nipped back slightly.

The batter might have thought it was a bit high but it's shown to be clipping the top of middle.

That looked stone dead but Dan Lawrence sent it up almost immediately.

Dan Lawrence hits two boundaries from his first two balls but Jimmy Anderson has pinned him in front next ball.

Given lbw but Lawrence is quick to review...

A big smile from Jimmy. That has gone to the moon.

Malan was looking to thrash across the line and make the most of this pitch.

  17. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 6 balls

    Malan c Buttler b Anderson 3 (Superchargers 5-1)

Jimmy Anderson has his first Hundred wicket!

Not your classic Anderson caught-behind dismissal but they all count.

Good length ball, Dawid Malan tries to smash it back over his head but the ball goes straight up - and a long way up, too.

Jos Buttler calls for it and gets underneath it to pouch the catch. Anderson is off the mark in franchise cricket.

You want to use Jimmy Anderson while the ball is still moving. He is not really a death bowler.

  19. Superchargers 5-0published at 5 balls

No wicket but a tidy start from Jimmy Anderson.

He's going to carry on and bowl another five. Why not while the ball's swinging?

Jimmy Anderson will be desperate to bowl well tonight and get his team over the line. A little bit of swing for him in these first few balls.
