  1. wicket

WICKET Yates c Virdi b Taylor 12published at 11:37 British Summer Time 10 September

    Worcestershire 307, Warwickshire 26-1

A wicket in the seventh over of the Warwickshire innings for Worcestershire.

Left-hander Rob Yates looks to turn Tom Taylor on the leg side, but gets a leading edge and instead lobs a dolly to Amar Virdi at mid on.

Durham-bound Will Rhodes is the new man at the crease for the Bears.

    Al Davies is on 12.

  2. wicket

WICKET Charlesworth c Robson b Higgins 12published at 11:34 British Summer Time 10 September

    Middlesex 377 v Gloucs 26-1

Ryan Higgins, Middlesex CCC celebrates the wicket of Ben CharlesworthImage source, Rex Features

Ben Charlesworth never looked comfortable this morning, having struggled to find his timing and getting away with an edge earlier on.

He's gone this time as Ryan Higgins draws him forward defending and gets the edge low to Sam Robson at first slip.

    Ollie Price is in next.

  3. 50 runs

50 for Tom Prestpublished at 11:34 British Summer Time 10 September

    Kent v Hampshire 279-8

This is doing nothing to disprove the rumours that Tom Prest is just a cloned James Vince.

Only two batters have looked like they have played on a completely different surface.

Vince got 88, Prest has a fourth half-century of his breakthrough season.

And what a shot to get there. A very Vince-like lofted cover drive for six.

  4. Postpublished at 11:33 British Summer Time 10 September

    Sussex 187-1 v Glamorgan 186

Sussex take the lead an hour into day two.

They'll fancy only batting once in this match.

  5. Back on at Chelmsfordpublished at 11:32 British Summer Time 10 September

    Essex 288-5 v Notts

The rain has relented in Essex - and the hosts are making up for lost time.

Two boundaries off Luke Fletcher's opening over following the restart as Tom Westley flicks one off the pads to move to 120 and then one goes wide and to the ropes for four leg-byes.

  6. wicket

WICKET: Sibley c Abell b Vaughan 16published at 11:32 British Summer Time 10 September

    Somerset 317 v Surrey 41-1

Well perhaps the last person you'd think would chuck it away is Dom Sibley.

But that's just what he's done.

Goes to sweep Archie Vaughan and miscues it straight to midwicket.

    There's the breakthrough for Somerset.

  7. Postpublished at 11:30 British Summer Time 10 September

    Somerset 317 v Surrey 41-0

Safe to say, not a lot happening for the Somerset seamers.

The 15th over of the day is given to Archie Vaughan for some off spin.

And Jack Leach has already bowled five overs.

Not great signs for the home side - but absolute heaven-sent for the over-rate!

  8. wicket

WICKET Abbott c Leaning b Evison 26published at 11:29 British Summer Time 10 September

    Kent v Hampshire 271-8

Cometh the hour, cometh the first wicket of the day.

Kyle Abbott goes hard at a little bit of width from Joey Evison and edges.

Jack Leaning is a great slipper and makes the difficult look easy. That went quickly and low to first slip but he holds on.

That ends a 61-run stand - which could be crucial on a tricky little pitch.

  9. wicket

WICKET Phillip LBW b Raine 2published at 11:28 British Summer Time 10 September

    Durham v Lancs 213-9

Anderson Phillip departs in the blink of an eye as Ben Raine completes a deserved five wicket haul by trapping Phillip on the crease and striking the pad in front of middle.

    His figures are 24-9-39-5.

The last batter is Tom Aspinwall.

  11. Back on at Worcesterpublished at 11:25 British Summer Time 10 September

    Worcestershire 307, Warwickshire 9-0

    Ged Scott
BBC Sport at Visit Worcestershire New Road

After a short 14-minute delay, they're back on at Worcester - and Matthew Waite is Worcestershire's new-ball bowler.

New boy Jack Home is being saved for later.

Rob Yates and Al Davies untroubled so far.

Davies began this innings, only needing 34 to get his 1,000 Championship runs this summer.

  12. 50 runs

50 partnership between Prest and Abbottpublished at 11:25 British Summer Time 10 September

    Kent v Hampshire 271-7

A couple of big Kyle Abbott swings for fours down the ground take this eighth wicket stand to fifty.

Four overs until the second new ball. Hampshire are keen to cash in until then.

  13. wicket

WICKET Hurst run out (de Leede) 90published at 11:23 British Summer Time 10 September

    Durham v Lancs 208-8

    Disaster for Lancashire.

Tom Bailey plays Matt Potts into the covers off the back foot and Matty Hurst wants a third run...

Tom Bailey sends him back and the return throw from Bas de Leede gets to keeper Ollie Robinson just in time to complete the run out!

The number 10 is Anderson Phillip.

  15. 50 runs

for Matt Fisherpublished at 11:21 British Summer Time 10 September

    Leics 98 v Yorks 310-8

Among the plaudits for Jonny Tattersall's superb innings yesterday, Matt Fisher played a quiet little knock to ensure Yorkshire got to stumps intact.

Having resumed on 28, he's got to just his second first-class fifty - and first in the Championship.

    74 balls and six fours.

Fisher and Tattersall have also raised their century stand for the ninth wicket.

They are grinding Leicestershire into submission.

  16. wicket

WICKET Reece c McManus b Keogh 50published at 11:19 British Summer Time 10 September

    Northants 219 v Derbys 93-3

50 and out for Luis Reece.

A beautifully flighted ball from spinner Rob Keogh, drawing Reece forward to defend and brushing the outside edge of the bat on the way to keeper Lewis McManus.

Time for Derbyshire captain David Lloyd to have a bat.

  17. Postpublished at 11:18 British Summer Time 10 September

    Middlesex 377 v Gloucs 10-0

Six singles off the Toby Roland-Jones over.

Ryan Higgins is a bit awry first up at the Nursery End, delivering a no ball, followed by a bye.

He's getting some good movement in to Ben Charlesworth off the seam though, and the opener tries to loft a ball into the Mound Stand and ends up squirting the ball to mid on.

  18. Postpublished at 11:16 British Summer Time 10 September

    Somerset 317 v Surrey 36-0

Brett Randell changed ends and was taken for back-to-back fours by Rory Burns.

Offered width, Burns, in superb recent form, cut either side of point.

It followed two boundaries in the last over of Craig Overton's five-over spell, both chopped to third man to balls on quite a tight line.

Good early signs for Burns and Surrey.

  20. Postpublished at 11:14 British Summer Time 10 September

    Kent v Hampshire 249-7

An inside edge onto the pad and Kyle Abbott comes through for the single that brings up 250, and a batting point.

It has been fairly simple going this morning for Hampshire.

Kent are waiting for seven more overs and the chance to have a go with a new ball - that should speed things up.
