  1. Postpublished at 11:13 British Summer Time 10 September

    Durham v Lancs 204-7

Matt Potts gets a ball to nip back into Tom Bailey but the LBW shout is turned down by the umpire, probably on height.

Bailey picks up a single off the next ball and Matty Hurst sees out the over.

  2. Gloucestershire begin their first inningspublished at 11:09 British Summer Time 10 September

    Middlesex 377 v Gloucs 0-0

The hosts will be the happier of the two sides going into Day Two but some critics will no doubt argue that the team left a few runs out there on the field when their innings ended on what became the final ball of the day.

Cameron Bancroft and Ben Charlesworth will open for the visitors, with Bancroft facing Middlesex captain Toby Roland-Jones first up.

  3. 50 runs

50 partnership between Hughes and Crocombepublished at 11:09 British Summer Time 10 September

    Sussex 162-1 v Glamorgan 186

How is Henry Crocombe's highest first class score only 46 not out?

He comes down the track and clubs Ben Kellaway down the ground for the boundary that brings up a 50 stand with Dan Hughes.

The deficit is only 23 now as well. One-way traffic this morning. Loads of easy-to-score runs for the hosts.

  4. Postpublished at 11:05 British Summer Time 10 September

    Durham v Lancs 200-7

How Lancashire must wish for the good old days when 200 would bring a bonus batting point. 250 these days.

Matty Hurst guides the Red Rose county to 200 with a careful push to backward point off Ben Raine.

  5. 300 up for Yorkshirepublished at 11:05 British Summer Time 10 September

    Leics 98 v Yorks 300-8

A second batting point is raised for Yorkshire.

And their lead stretches over 200 too.

Conditions can get very benign at Grace Road - perhaps why so much grass was left on the wicket yesterday.

  6. Hughes 'keeps the game so simple'published at 11:04 British Summer Time 10 September

    Sussex 162-1 v Glamorgan 186

    Tymal Mills
Sussex T20 captain on BBC Sussex

[Dan Hughes] has really enjoyed playing on the smaller grounds here as opposed to playing in Australia.

He feels like he can hit sixes, which for a batter is a big thing. He comes into the game feeling like he can take on the bowling more.

He keeps the game so simple. He hits the ball along the floor as well, just as much as he hits sixes.

Mills might be predominantly talking about Daniel Hughes as a T20 batter, but as he was talking Hughes gloriously drilled a straight drive down the ground. He's up to 74.

A very tight opening half hour to day two at Taunton.

Surrey know if they can get through the new ball, runs will come later in the day, as they did yesterday.

Dom Sibley has just stuck the first boundary of the day, with a flick through square leg off Craig Overton.

New Zealander Brett Randell with just three overs on his Somerset debut, one maiden, 0-4.

And Lewis Gregory throws the ball to Jack Leach.

Spin in the ninth over of the innings!

Having begun their innings in poor light, Warwickshire have lasted less than an over!

A square drive for four from Rob Yates off Tom Taylor - and off they come.

Admittedly, it did look gloomy. And it's not getting any less gloomy!!!

  9. Play to resume shortly at Lord'spublished at 11:00 British Summer Time 10 September

    Middlesex 377 v Gloucs

The rain has abated and we're expecting a restart here at 11:10 BST.

  10. Postpublished at 10:58 British Summer Time 10 September

    Durham v Lancs 196-7

Matty Hurst is squared up by Ben Raine, edging the ball wide of the two slips and into the vacant third man boundary for four.

He's now on 85. Make that 86 as he turns the next ball to long leg.

Tom Bailey sees out the over.

    Leics 98 v Yorks 285-8

    A true captain's innings.

Jonny Tattersall resumed on 90 and has calmly got through to his second century of the season.

It's his fourth first-class hundred, this in 170 balls with 10 fours.

A vital knock to glue this Yorkshire reply together and ensure they've taken complete command of the game.

  12. Postpublished at 10:56 British Summer Time 10 September

    Sussex 148-1 v Glamorgan 186

Glamorgan need something to keep the spirits up.

How do Colin Ingram and Billy Root manage it? Play a bit of rugby with the short leg helmet between overs. A lovely dummy from the South African, before off loading.

How not to do it? Dropping catches. And that is exactly what Kiran Carlson has done at midwicket, with Henry Crocombe getting lucky on 25.

  13. rain stops play

Rain stops playpublished at 10:55 British Summer Time 10 September

    Essex 279-5 v Notts

Precipitation has well and truly set in at Chelmsford.

Drizzle quickly turned heavier and the players are off - and the covers on.

Essex have added 17 runs with skipper Tom Westley moving on to 116no and Michael Pepper 28no.

There were plenty of delays yesterday too - this will do either side's cause no good.

  14. Postpublished at 10:54 British Summer Time 10 September

    Durham v Lancs 190-7

Tom Bailey waits in the crease and cuts away a wide half volley from Ben Raine through cover point for four runs, the ball just beating the diving Bas de Leede to the rope.

    Five from the over.

  15. wicket

WICKET Virdi b Rushworth 0published at 10:49 British Summer Time 10 September

Worcestershire 307 all out v Warwickshire

    Ged Scott
BBC Sport at Visit Worcestershire New Road

    And that's that.

Amar Virdi goes second ball - bowled by Chris Rushworth - and Worcestershire are all out.

The off stump is removed and it's a second scalp for Rushworth after going wicketless on the first day.

Nothing all day yesterday- and then two in three minutes. That's buses - and life as a fast bowler - for you!

  16. Postpublished at 10:49 British Summer Time 10 September

    Kent v Hampshire 235-7

Tom Prest is not hanging about this morning.

He has already doubled his overnight score of 15 to 31, which included an almighty thump for four off Matt Parkinson.

With Brad Wheal and Mo Abbas the two "batters" to come, Prest knows he'll have to cash in sooner rather than later.

  17. wicket

WICKET Home lbw Rushworth 29published at 10:47 British Summer Time 10 September

    Worcestershire 307-9 v Warwickshire

The early morning joy for Jack Home is shortlived as Chris Rushworth gets his revenge. His first wicket of the innings.

And the 667th of his career.

Doesn't really matter that much - but being on 666 cannot have been too much fun for him!

  18. wicket

WICKET Guest b Sanderson 28published at 10:46 British Summer Time 10 September

    Northants 219 v Derbys 81-2

Northants don't have many runs on the board and will be very grateful to Ben Sanderson for striking early this morning.

It's a peach of a delivery, seaming in on a full length to knock out middle stump.

    Too good for Brooke Guest.

    Wayne Madsen is in next.

  19. 300 runs

Pears go past 300published at 10:44 British Summer Time 10 September

    Worcestershire 304-8 v Warwickshire

    Ged Scott
BBC Sport at Visit Worcestershire New Road

Worcestershire go past 300 to claim a second batting point.

Two fine blows from red-ball debutant tailender Jack Home to get them there - both off Chris Rushworth.

A clump over wide mid on followed by a more text-book pull over square leg next ball

  20. wicket

WICKET Hartley LBW b Potts 16published at 10:44 British Summer Time 10 September

    Durham v Lancs 183-7

Good bounce and movement from Ben Raine from the Lumley End, who twice has Matty Hurst playing and missing outside off stump.

Matt Potts takes the new ball at the other end and the bowler appeals for a catch as Tom Hartley follows a leg side ball with the bat but the umpire says not out. Probably off the thigh pad.

Got him this time! Hartley is trapped on the crease and hit on the back pad in front of middle and leg.

    Tom Bailey to bat next.
