  1. Tea at Northamptonpublished at 15:16 British Summer Time 10 September

    Northants 219 & 97-3 v Derbys 165

Northants have had the better of Day Two so far, rallying to rout Derbyshire for 165 (from a promising 150-4) and then recovering to 97-3 after a top order wobble on 9-2.

Gus Miller was the last wicket to fall, LBW to the bowling of Alex Thomson on the sweep with the total on 85 for a well made 42.

But James Sales is still there on 35 with Rob Keogh on seven.

  2. Tea at Worcesterpublished at 15:14 British Summer Time 10 September

    Worcestershire 307, Warwickshire 112-4

They're still off at Worcester - and are now taking tea.

    No sign of any restart.

  3. Postpublished at 15:13 British Summer Time 10 September

    Middlesex 377 v Gloucs 150-5

Middlesex captain Toby Roland-Jones is back in the attack and Tom Price has been a little loose and fidgety.

He'll get a single off a shorter third ball, dabbed into the leg side.

The last ball is picked up and driven by Ollie Price for a single.

That brings up the Gloucestershire 150 in 41 overs as dark clouds gather apace over St John's Wood.

  4. Tea at Grace Roadpublished at 15:12 British Summer Time 10 September

    Leics 98 & 35-2 v Yorks 379

It's now officially tea at Grace Road.

The players have been off for an hour with steady rain falling.

And the forecasts suggests there's a bit more to come.

Yorkshire have dominated the day, resuming 263-8 and reaching 379 thanks to Jonny Tattersall's 126 and a career-best 88 from Matt Fisher at number 10.

Leicestershire have lost both openers in their second innings and face a mighty fight to save an innings defeat.

  5. wicket

    WICKET Bell-Drummond c Middleton b Abbott 10published at 15:09 British Summer Time 10 September

    Kent 27-2 v Hampshire 403

Kyle Abbott has 400 wickets for Hampshire on his 100th appearance.

Daniel Bell-Drummond is he man to depart, but how?

Is it lbw? Or caught at short leg? The scorers have gone with the latter.

It came a ball after Tom Prest had put down an easy catch at third slip - it didn't cost anything for Hampshire.

  6. Postpublished at 15:09 British Summer Time 10 September

    Durham 138-4 v Lancs 228

Colin Ackermann sweeps spinner Tom Hartley for an easy single to move to 12 as the breeze gets up audibly on the BBC mic here at the Riverside.

Durham cut the deficit down to 89 with six wickets in hand.

  7. 100 runs

100 partnership between Clark and Simpsonpublished at 15:08 British Summer Time 10 September

    Sussex 325-5 v Glamorgan 186

The good news for Glamorgan is the scoring rate has largely dipped in recent overs.

But Tom Clark and John Simpson have offered no suggestion they can be dislodged.

  8. Postpublished at 15:06 British Summer Time 10 September

    Kent 20-1 v Hampshire 403

Mo Abbas and Kyle Abbott have got plenty of movement in the first 10 overs.

But other than strangling Tawanda Muyeye, they haven't managed to find anything to dislodge Ben Compton and Daniel Bell-Drummond.

Kent need these two to bat for a very long time. Their Division One status might depend on it.

  9. 50 runs

50 for Ollie Pricepublished at 15:01 British Summer Time 10 September

    Middlesex 377 v Gloucs 146-5

Ollie Price faces Luke Hollman on 49...

Back and across to cut through point and that's an easy single.

That's his fourth 50 of the season with a best effort of 147, which he made against Yorkshire at Bristol in April.

    111 balls with six fours.

  10. Rain at Tauntonpublished at 15:00 British Summer Time 10 September

    Somerset 317 v Surrey 169-3

The skies had been darkening and rain arrives at Taunton 10 minutes before tea.

Just the one wicket in the afternoon session but Somerset have kept a tight grip on the scoring rate.

Only 78 runs in 33 overs - almost all of them spin.

The forecast doesn't look great for the rest of the day but fingers crossed.

  11. wicket

WICKET Miller LBW b Thomson 42published at 14:58 British Summer Time 10 September

    Northants 219 & 85-3 v Derbys 165

Derbyshire have their third wicket of the innings with the hosts now 139 ahead.

Gus Miller is third out, missing a sweep off Alex Thomson and trapped in front of all three stumps. Plumb.

    Rob Keogh is in.

  12. wicket

ESSEX ALL OUT for 457published at 14:56 British Summer Time 10 September

    Essex 457 v Notts

Notts wrap up the Essex innings with two quickfire wickets but it's taken them far too much time for their liking.

Farhan Ahmed gets his third scalp of the day by tempting Sam Cook into a swing and he's stumped.

Then Michael Pepper is bowled by Liam Patterson-White to bring an end to a fabulous knock off 115 as spin accounts for the final four Essex batters.

The total and time elapsed mean Essex can almost certainly not lose this game. Can they win it though?

  13. 50 runs

50 for Tom Clarkpublished at 14:56 British Summer Time 10 September

    Sussex 313-6 v Glamorgan 186

A very unassuming, under-the-radar innings from Tom Clark.

In fact the only shot that has been committed to memory is a cover drive off James Harris in his 30s.

But he has done what not enough Glamorgan batters did yesterday, ie occupy the crease and build a partnership.

Clark reaches his 16th first-class fifty with a two into the leg side in 129 balls.

  14. 50 runs

50 for David Bedinghampublished at 14:54 British Summer Time 10 September

    Durham 130-4 v Lancs 228

He's been in a rich vein of form this season and now has three 50s and five centuries to his name.

This half century comes in 67 balls in a game where nobody else bar Matty Hurst has passed 49.

He reaches the landmark with his seventh four, clipping a leg side ball from Tom Bailey to fine leg.

  15. Postpublished at 14:51 British Summer Time 10 September

    Middlesex 377 v Gloucs 140-5

Middlesex bowler Luke HollmanImage source, Rex Features

Steady maiden over from Luke Hollman.

Henry Brookes angles the ball into Ollie Price at the other end, who is able to leave the ball outside off.

He'll get a single to deep square off the third ball to get to 47.

  16. Postpublished at 14:49 British Summer Time 10 September

    Sussex 306-5 v Glamorgan 186

The Sussex promotion party has another point to celebrate.

Tom Clark cuts firmly to the boundary to reach 300. The lead is now up to 121.

Glamorgan are finding no way to change the momentum.

  18. Postpublished at 14:46 British Summer Time 10 September

    Durham 122-4 v Lancs 228

Colin Ackermann is starting to move through the gears here.

He crashes a short, wide ball from Anderson Phillip through cover point for four and thrashes the next ball through cover on the front foot for four more.

The over costs 10 runs in total.

  19. wicket

WICKET Muyeye c Brown b Abbas 5published at 14:44 British Summer Time 10 September

    Kent 16-1 v Hampshire 403

Tawanda Muyeye does not agree with this decision.

He doesn't think he has been strangled down the leg side, instead suggesting Mo Abbas' delivery came off his pad before Ben Brown stooped to catch.

Definitely not dissent from Muyeye, just a clear piece of body language.

  20. Postpublished at 14:43 British Summer Time 10 September

    Middlesex 377 v Gloucs 138-5

Middlesex v GloucestershireImage source, Rex Features

There's a pause in play at Lord's as bowler Henry Brookes has concerns over the run up.

Ground staff bring on the sawdust. On we go.

Tom Price will keep the strike with a single tapped to deep square leg.

And now the floodlights are on.

    A change of bowling.

Spinner Luke Hollman is coming on at the Pavilion End.
