Australia have held on to some real skyers on the boundary today. Cameron Green has enormous hands and just swallows that up.

  3. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 44.3 overs

    Carse c Green b Zampa 2 (Eng 278-7)

England could get bowled out here.

Brydon Carse winds up for a slog-sweep but gets too much air again. That just keeps on happening to these spinners. Cameron Green, lurking on the boundary at deep mid-wicket, doesn't drop catches like that.

    Unsurprisingly, Adam Zampa continues...

  5. Eng 277-6published at 44 overs

It's remarkable how much things have changed with these part-time spinners on. We have no had five overs in a row without a boundary, the latest bowled by Travis Head.

All of a sudden 350 might be a bit tricky for England from here. It's a far cry from the totals were look at in the 30th over of the game.

I definitely think this surface is holding. Liam Livingstone was looking to go own the ground and got into into a great position to hit through the line. But if the surface is just holding that's why you see it pop up like that. Jamie Smith's dismissal was a bit like that.

Credit to Australia's spinners, and frustration for England.

  9. Eng 272-6published at 43 overs

Australia have a slip in during the 43rd over which tells you a lot. It's a wicket maiden as well from Adam Zampa with Brydon Carse picking out the fielders on each of the occasions.

Here's Brydon Carse. He can bat but got a duck in the T20s...

  11. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 42.1 overs

    Livingstone c Green b Zampa 13 (Eng 272-6)

Another one gone and again it's spin doing the damage. Liam Livingstone had been tied down and skies a catch to long-on when trying to break the shackles.

Livingstone is going to have a lot of bowling to do later judging by what we've seen in the past 10 overs.

England looked like they would be pushing a total of 400 but Australia's spinners have done a brilliant job and it feels like more a 350 chase now. That would be a good game of cricket I think.

I was in a lift with Adam Zampa and his family this morning, presumably the Zampa clan are over for his 100th ODI.

I'm not sure whether the Australia players are on the same side of the hotel as I am but, given the noise coming from the night club over the road last night, that might explain a somewhat sleepy start in the field.

  15. Eng 270-5published at 41.4 overs

England are struggling to get these spinners away.

We may laugh and joke about Marnus Labuschagne but has done a superb job for his team here. With the bowlers struggling and Ben Dwarsius injured, he has taken 2-35 to limit England's assault from 213-2.

There are no boundaries in his latest over.

Labuschagne has been half a metre fuller than Zampa as well as 5 kph slower through the air, he's really tossing it up to enticing the England batters to attack him.

Marnus Labuschagne enjoyed this. His wickets for Ben Duckett and Harry Brook have changed the game.

  20. Eng 264-5published at 40 overs

    Livingstone 10, Bethell 6

We haven't had official word but it seems Ben Dwarsius' day is done. We've just seen a relay of the Aussie physio making the tell-tale sign of 'finished' by waving a hand near his throat.

That will impact the closing stages. He would have been a banker for Australia at the death.
