  1. Lunch at Old Traffordpublished at 13:13 25 May

    Lancs v Warwickshire 166-4

A later lunch as we have 104 overs to enjoy today.

Warwickshire were 89-3 from 39 overs overnight and will be very satisfied with their progress this morning.

After the early loss of Dan Mousley, caught neatly at second slip by Keaton Jennings off George Balderson for two, Alex Davies and Jacob Bethell had to knuckle down under intense pressure.

They staved off the threat of Nathan Lyon, Tom Bailey et all and gradually increased the pace to finish 77-1 from 33 overs this morning.

His third boundary took Bethell to 40 on the stroke of lunch while Davies has 75 from 202 deliveries and their partnership of 73 looks to have taken the initiative away from the hosts.

  2. Lunch at Leicesterpublished at 13:11 25 May

    Leicestershire 57-2 v Glamorgan 387

    Nick Webb
    BBC Radio Wales Sport

The pitch that looked so green at the start of play is continuing to provide an even battle between bat and ball in the sunshine.

Leicestershire's Scott Currie did not take long to complete his maiden five-for as Sam Northeast was given out caught down leg-side from the first ball of the day.

Mir Hamza then provided an entertaining cameo at number 11, hitting consecutive sixes before James Harris was given out caught behind off Ben Mike.

Hamza won the battle of two players making their final county appearances when Marcus Harris fell lbw for 14, and Timm van der Gugten’s first spell of the season removed Louis Kimber caught behind for one.

But Rishi Patel looked in decent nick, having taken two hundreds off Glamorgan last season.

  3. WICKET Leach c Slater b Paterson 3published at 13:08 25 May

    Worcs 66-9 v Notts

Dane Paterson looks to have done something to his hand in fielding off his own bowling.

After a brief pause he's back in and Joe Leach pushes through the covers for two.

    And wicket!

Joe Leach aims a loose lofted drive at Paterson's final ball and a thick outside edge flies to Ben Slater who takes a comfortable catch at gully.

    The misery is almost over.

  4. Lunch at Bristolpublished at 13:08 25 May

    Gloucestershire v Derbyshire 526

Lunch arrives at Bristol as Ajeet Singh Dale has Anuj Dal caught behind for 62 to bring Derbyshire's first innings to an end.

Dal earlier put on 78 with Matthew Lamb, who reached 207 off 278 balls before he also fell to the Bracey-Dale combination.

Pick of the Gloucestershire attack, though, was Australian all-rounder Beau Webster, whose 6-100 is a career-best effort.

  5. Lunch at Chester Le Streetpublished at 13:05 25 May

    Durham 265 v Somerset 171 & 19-2

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

A great start to the morning for Somerset, as they took three of the remaining four Durham wickets - centurion David Bedingham included - at a cost of just 22 runs.

But at 199-9 Peter Siddle joined Ben Raine and the pair of them put together what may well prove to have been a match-deciding partnership of 66, to stretch Durham's lead to 94.

The loss of Tom Abell and Matt Renshaw in the eight overs before lunch served only to compound Somerset's woes.

How quickly fortunes can change in County Championship cricket!

  6. Lunch at Southamptonpublished at 13:04 25 May

    Hants 204-1 v Surrey 127

Nick Gubbins and Toby AlbertImage source, Rex Features

A superb morning for Hampshire but a hapless one for the Division One leaders.

Toby Albert (86 not out) and Nick Gubbins (76 not out) have carried on where they left off last night, enjoying a flat pitch and glorious blue skies.

They have doubled the overnight score, taking Hants to 204-1 for a lead of 77.

The new ball is just one over away and Surrey will be desperately hoping it does the trick.

  7. Lunch at Canterburypublished at 13:03 25 May

    Kent v Essex 449-6

Shane Snater batting for EssexImage source, Rex Feat

That is lunch, with Jordan Cox unbeaten on 140 from 207 balls and Shane Snater 18 not out.

The visitors are in charge, despite Michael Pepper's departure for 82 and Simon Harmer's quickfire six - all scored with one lusty blow.

Will Essex bat on after lunch? Time will tell. If not then Cox has a second unbeaten century of the season against his former employers and a third in total, after his 112 last week against Warwickshire.

  8. 'Lancashire have been frustrated'published at 13:03 25 May

    Lancs v Warwickshire 155-4

    Mike Taylor
    BBC WM commentator

    No breakthrough for Lancashire.

They've been frustrated since they got Dan Mousley at 11:10.

  9. 200 up for Hampshirepublished at 13:01 25 May

    Hants 204-1 v Surrey 127

Nick Gubbins flicks Gus Atkinson into the onside with ease and trots through for a single which brings up the 200 for the hosts.

Toby Albert then guides the next ball down to third man to move the partnership past 150.

Albert has 86 and Gubbins is on 76.

  10. Postpublished at 12:58 25 May

    Kent v Essex 447-6

Shane Snater gets in on the act with a colossal six off Joe Denly which leads to a change of ball. The perils of launching one into the car park, I suppose.

The 50-partnership between Snater and Jordan Cox comes up from just 44 balls.

The pedal does seem to be down for Essex. Will they think 450-ish is enough for a lunchtime declaration?

    We'll find out soon enough.

  11. WICKET Smith lbw b Paterson 1published at 12:56 25 May

    Worcs 61-8 v Notts

    Another one!

Nathan Smith comes down the pitch looking to attack Dane Paterson.

He swings, he misses, and Paterson thuds it into his pads. It looked like it may have been going down leg, but the umpire gives it.

    Adam Finch joins Joe Leach.

  12. Five-wicket haul for Beau Websterpublished at 12:53 25 May

    Glos v Derbys 520-8

He was the leading run-scorer in Australia's Sheffield Shield over the winter and now Beau Webster has a maiden five-for in first-class cricket.

Zak Chappell attempts a booming cover drive but is caught by Miles Hammond and Webster now has figures of 5-95.

It won't be much consolation for Gloucestershire, though, given the Derbyshire score.

  13. WICKET Hose c and b Pennington 11published at 12:52 25 May

    Worcs 61-7 v Notts

Will the Pears make it to lunch?

A Dillon Pennington short ball reaches Adam Hose quicker than he expected and he top edges high into the Worcester sky.

Pennington has an age to get into position and almost makes a mess of it, knocking it up before pouching it at the third attempt.

Lunch will be at 1.10pm - if the hosts make it that far.

  14. Postpublished at 12:52 25 May

    Kent v Essex 433-6

Jordan Cox moves to 136 with boundaries off Matt Parkinson and then Joe Denly, whose leg breaks are introduced from the opposite end. 16 fours and two sixes for Cox. Efficiency of movement.

Lunch can't come soon enough for Kent.

  15. Postpublished at 12:51 25 May

    Hants 190-1 v Surrey 127

Cameron Steel is back and sends down a real loosener, dropping short, and Nick Gubbins takes full advantage, pulling it backward of square to the boundary.

His fourth ball almost gets through Gubbins prompting oohs and aahs from the Surrey slips.

But Gubbins survives and takes a second boundary of the over to move to 71.

    The lead is 63.

  16. WICKET Renshaw b Siddle 6published at 12:51 25 May

    Durham 265 v Somerset 171 & 12-2

Are we even going to reach day three in this one?

Peter Siddle bowls fellow Aussie Matt Renshaw with one that kept a little low.

This is Renshaw's final game of his current Somerset stint and it hasn't been a happy one so far.

  17. 'Essex may call it a day at lunch'published at 12:49 25 May

    Kent v Essex 427-6

    Dick Davies
    BBC Essex

My perception is that Essex may well call it a day at lunch.

The way Simon Harmer batted leads me to that thought.

  18. Postpublished at 12:45 25 May

    Kent v Essex 421-6

Kent fans know only too well what it's like to watch Jordan Cox go through the gears.

He's showing ominous signs of it at the moment, timing a beautiful punch back past bowler Arafat Bhuiyan for four, picking the next ball up for a six to cow corner and then punching another ball down the track for a couple.

Cox has 126* and a tricky 20 minutes or so might be in store before lunch for the hosts.

  19. WICKET Abell c Robinson b Raine 2published at 12:45 25 May

    Durham 265 v Somerset 171 & 8-1

Not a happy return to action for Tom Abell following an injury lay-off.

Having been dismissed for four in the first innings, he only manages two this time before edging Ben Raine to the keeper.

That Durham first-innings lead of 94 looks a handy one.

  20. Postpublished at 12:45 25 May

    Durham 265 v Somerset 171 & 7-0

Somerset badly need their openers together at lunch.

Matt Renshaw drives Ben Raine through backward point for the first boundary of the Somerset second innings.
