  1. 100 up for Nottinghamshirepublished at 16:37 25 May

    Worcs 80 v Notts 101-2

Adam Finch gives Haseeb Hameed a half-volley on off-stump and the opener eases it through extra cover for a boundary.

Fine shot, that, and moves him to 46.

A no-ball from Joe Leach to Joe Clarke then moves the visitors to three figures.

  2. 50 for James Vincepublished at 16:36 25 May

    Hants 337-3 v Surrey 127

James Vince chops Cam Steel backward of square leg for four and that's a second half-century of the season for the Hampshire skipper.

And just the 55th of his first-class career.

It's taken him just 49 balls, with nine fours, as he looks to press home his side's advantage.

  3. WICKET: Rae lbw b Wells 0published at 16:34 25 May

    Lancs v Warwickshire 275-9

Luke Wells has a second in two overs and even though he was a way forward out of his crease, Michael Rae has to go for a duck.

Oliver Hannon-Dalby is the last man in. That bonus point looks a long way away with 26 to find in two overs.

Lancashire, of course, have claimed their third bowling bonus point with 12 balls to spare. Every little helps.

  4. 50 for Peter Handscombpublished at 16:31 25 May

    Leics 169-3 v Glamorgan 387

    Peter HandscombImage source, Rex Features

It's been an excellent season so far for Peter Handscomb - he has scored at least 50 in every match, part from the season opener against Yorkshire.

His latest half-century arrives from 90 balls with a couple of runs, pushed into the covers, off Timm van der Gugten.

Lewis Hill is 67 not out at the other end.

  5. Cook departs for Essexpublished at 16:29 25 May

    Kent 51-2 v Essex 591-7dec

    Sam CookImage source, Rex Features

Sam Cook is limping off the field after completing his sixth over, looks like it might be a muscle problem.

A blow for Essex but a boost for Kent who lost Wes Agar having bowled only seven overs on the opening morning. Spooky, eh?

  6. 200 lead for Hampshirepublished at 16:28 25 May

    Hants 228-3 v Surrey 127

Ben Brown collects his second boundary off Cam Steel and then nudges a single which takes the Hampshire lead to the 200 mark.

  7. WICKET: Hassan Ali c Bruce b Wells 29published at 16:26 25 May

    Lancs v Warwickshire 271-8

First ball after tea Hassan Ali goes big off Luke Wells, but not big enough.

Tom Bruce is able to get under the ball at long on, realises he's going to run out of room and lobs the ball back up inside the rope to claim at the second attempt. Neatly done.

Michael Rae is the new batter.

  8. Dropped catchpublished at 16:26 25 May

    Worcs 80 v Notts 90-2

Further frustration for Worcestershire as Haseeb Hameed gets a life.

Adam Finch opens up after tea and induces an edge from the Notts skipper.

It goes through at shin height to Ed Pollock at first slip, but reaching down he fails to hold the chance.

  9. WICKET Carson c Higgins b Brookes 14published at 16:24 25 May

    Middlesex v Sussex 516-8

Henry Brookes dismisses Jack CarsonImage source, Rex Features

No declaration yet from Sussex but there's another wicket.

Jack Carson tries to drive Henry Brookes on the up but clatters it straight to Ryan Higgins at cover.

Ollie Robinson comes in at number 10 for the visitors.

  10. Play resumes at Southamptonpublished at 16:22 25 May

    Hants 315-3 v Surrey 127

Cam Steel has got through a lot of overs today and opens the evening session.

James Vince takes a single. Ben Brown then guides his second ball to third man for a couple before a pull through midwicket brings his first boundary.

    Hants lead by 188.

  11. 'An important personal achievement for Davies'published at 16:21 25 May

    Lancs v Warwickshire 271-7

    Mike Taylor
    BBC WM commentator

Time will tell whether it is a significant innings in terms of this match – a Met Office weather warning for tomorrow is an inauspicious sign – but for Alex Davies himself, the hundred he completed 40 minutes before tea feels like an important personal achievement.

It is his third of this season already, but of different character to the previous two – chiselled out over more than seven hours over two days. Against his former employers, and immediately after what must have been a chastening defeat against Essex on Monday, it has been an impressive statement in conditions that – especially yesterday – demanded his full concentration.

Appropriately, he raised three figures with a rare boundary off Nathan Lyon, and collectively Warwickshire defied the Australian spinner for 30 overs before his first success, when Jake Lintott became tangled in a reverse sweep and the umpire detecting a nick.

Just at the moment when the Bears wanted to inject some momentum, Hassan Ali bounced out to the centre to join Davies, and has already hit four boundaries and clumped Lyon for six over long-on. Expect him to go for it again after tea.

  12. 50 up for Kentpublished at 16:19 25 May

    Kent 50-2 v Essex 591-7dec

Little steps for Kent. A push into the off side by Ben Compton for a single brings up the 50.

Marcus O'Riordan, making his second appearance of the season in place of the injured Jack Leaning, is off the mark.

  13. Tea at Northamptonpublished at 16:17 25 May

    Northants 182-7 v Yorkshire 362

Just a single for Luke Procter from George Hill's final over before the interval.

Procter is 52 not out and Northants need plenty more from him as they are barely half-way towards Yorkshire's first-innings total.

Each of Yorkshire's six bowlers used has a wicket, with Matthew Revis taking 2-24 from nine overs so far.

  14. Tea at Bristolpublished at 16:14 25 May

    Glos 120-3 v Derbys 526

James Bracey drives Luis Reece straight for four as Gloucestershire reach tea having stablised the situation after slumping to 63-3.

Bracey is 40 not out and has added 57 with opener Ben Charlesworth, who has taken 93 balls for his 35.

Matthew Lamb finally departed for 207 earlier in the day as Derbyshire passed 500 for the first time this season.

  15. WICKET Broad c Hill b Thompson 0published at 16:09 25 May

    Northants 181-7 v Yorkshire 362

Northants lose another one as Jordan Thompson produces a delivery which is far too good for Justin Broad, who is caught at first slip.

Ben Sanderson is the new batter and there should be one more over before tea - we think/hope/expect.

  16. Tea at Leicesterpublished at 16:09 25 May

    Leics 161-3 v Glamorgan 387

Glamorgan were well on top when they had Leicestershire 65-3, but Lewis Hill and Peter Handscomb have wrested back a bit of control with an unbroken stand of 96 in 30 overs.

Hill has 66 not out and Australian batter Handscomb is on 43, having come together when Rishi Patel was caught behind off Timm van der Gugten.

Scott Currie took 5-64 as Glamorgan were bowled out during the morning, but Leicestershire still face a deficit of 226 runs.

  17. Tea at Worcesterpublished at 16:05 25 May

    Worcs 80 v Notts 89-2

Nathan Smith has the last over before tea, buoyed by those two wickets.

He puts everything into this and should have had a third.

Joe Clarke looks to have got a tickle on the third ball through to wicketkeeper Gareth Roderick who grasses the chance.

The former Worcestershire man then rubs salt in the wound by edging down to third man for two.

Smith's two quick breakthroughs to remove set batter Ben Slater (41) and Will Young (2) have just dragged Worcestershire back into things a little, but Notts are still in a commanding position.

Haseeb Hameed is there unbeaten on 36 while Clarke has two.

The lead by nine with eight wickets in hand.

  18. WICKET McManus c Thompson b Lyth 10published at 16:04 25 May

    Northants176-6 v Yorkshire 362

What a 200th Championship match is having.

A century, a slip catch and now a wicket in his second over.

Lewis McManus tries to clear mid-on, but doesn't get the required elevation and Jordan Thompson takes the catch.

Luke Procter is 51 not out for the home side, but they are 186 behind as Justin Broad walks out to join him.

  19. Tea at Old Traffordpublished at 16:02 25 May

    Lancs v Warwickshire 271-7

    Alex DaviesImage source, Rex Features

Hassan Ali has stolen a bit of Alex Davies' thunder in the last half-hour but the skipper's 114 not out is the bedrock of this first innings. His stint has lasted 278 balls and all of the 105 overs played thus far.

Ali has cracked a swashbuckling 29 at better than a run a ball and has five overs after tea in order to find 29 runs for the second batting bonus point.

  20. 'An emphatic win for Durham'published at 16:00 25 May

Durham beat Somerset by an innings and six runs

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

A big emphatic win for Durham and for Somerset a lot to contend with injuries, concussion and illness.

Durham chalk up their second victory of the season after they beat Worcestershire in Kidderminster.
