  1. wicket

YORKSHIRE BEAT LEICESTERSHIRE BY AN INNINGS AND 72 RUNSpublished at 16:40 British Summer Time 11 September
    Breaking

    Leicestershire 98 & 209 v Yorkshire 379

A massive win in the Division Two promotion race!

A fourth Championship victory of the campaign and incredibly a 43rd time Yorkshire have beaten Leicestershire by an innings.

George Hill obviously is the man to get the winning wicket. He leads the team off after taking 6-59.

Chris Wright goes for a lofty drive but only chips to mid off.

  2. wicket

WICKET Rew c Sibley b Shakib 29published at 16:38 British Summer Time 11 September

    Somerset 317 & 117-7 v Surrey 321

    Commentator's curse.

Surrey are scenting blood now as they take a seventh Somerset wicket, and Shakib Al Hasan takes his eighth wicket of the match.

James Rew edges behind and it seems to deflect off the leg of Ben Foakes straight to Dom Sibley at first slip. When it's your day...

Brett Randell walks to the middle.

  3. rain stops play

Rain stops play at Hovepublished at 16:37 British Summer Time 11 September

    Sussex 491 v Glamorgan 186 & 188-4

Kiran Carlson and Ben Kellaway are going along nicely and take their partnership to 57 runs.

But rain takes off the players with Glamorgan trailing by 117.

  4. wicket

WICKET Donald c McManus b Keogh 19published at 16:37 British Summer Time 11 September

    Northants 219 & 211 v Derbys 165 & 92-5 (target: 266)

This is starting to fall apart for Derbyshire.

Rob Keogh breaks the Yuzvendra Chahal spell by spearing one down the leg side.

Aneurin Donald dangles his bat and gets a low edge, which Lewis McManus does excellently to stoop and catch.

That 266 feels a very long way away.

  5. rain stops play

Rain stops play again at Canterburypublished at 16:36 British Summer Time 11 September

    Kent 207 & 70-0 v Hampshire 403

This rain delay looks like it'll be longer than the last one.

Sad as Tawanda Muyeye was going through the gears.

  6. Postpublished at 16:35 British Summer Time 11 September

    Somerset 317 & 117-6 v Surrey 321

Craig Overton cuts Dan Worrall away nicely and it just beats the despairing dive of Cam Steel on the backward point boundary.

The Somerset man then goes on the drive to the next ball and takes two more.

This pair are both capable of producing a bit of carnage. The last roll of the dice you feel.

    Somerset lead by 113.

  7. Play resumes shortly at Lord'spublished at 16:35 British Summer Time 11 September

    Middlesex 377 & 43-1 v Gloucs 309-9 dec

If the weather holds, we'll be back on at 16:40 BST.

  8. Postpublished at 16:34 British Summer Time 11 September

    Durham 573-9 dec v Lancs 288 & 76-3

Matty Hurst is back and across to Callum Parkinson, cutting the spinner through point for four.

    He's on 12.

Matt Potts is again leg side and the ball drifts off the pad of Josh Bohannon for two leg byes.

A single off the fourth ball, slapped into backward point and half stopped by Bas de Leede.

Four runs to Matty Hurst, steered safely to third man.

  9. wicket

WICKET Currie b Hill 4published at 16:31 British Summer Time 11 September

    Leicestershire 98 & 193-9 v Yorkshire 379

    START THE CAR!

George Hill has a five-wicket haul for the second time in first-class cricket.

Scott Currie plays for a ball aiming for middle, but Hill moves it away and into off stump like a magician.

  10. Set to resume at five to five at Worcesterpublished at 16:31 British Summer Time 11 September

    Worcestershire 307, Warwickshire 128 & 171-3

It has brightened up a lot at Worcester - and they are going to make a restart at 16:55.

  11. Postpublished at 16:31 British Summer Time 11 September

    Kent 207 & 67-0 v Hampshire 403

    Like good attacking batting?

Then get yourself over to watch Tawanda Muyeye. He is in one of those moods where every aggressive shot he plays (and there are many of them) rockets to the boundary.

Three boundaries in a row off Mo Abbas, of all people.

A hold-the-pose back foot drive. A languid lofted flick over mid-on. A controlled swing over midwicket. All very yummy.

  12. wicket

WICKET Gregory lbw b Shakib 13published at 16:29 British Summer Time 11 September

    Somerset 317 & 110-6 v Surrey 321

A third wicket for Shakib Al Hasan and another blow for Somerset.

Lewis Gregory prods forward, but the ball does enough to beat the bat and strike the knee roll of the Somerset skipper's front pad.

    Craig Overton joins James Rew.

The Somerset lead is a wobbly 106.

  13. Postpublished at 16:28 British Summer Time 11 September

    Durham 573-9 dec v Lancs 288 & 65-3

An LBW shout from Callum Parkinson, bowling to Matty Hurst but it's not out.

Playing a defensive shot going forward and hit on the pad just outside the off stump.

Good diving take from Ollie Robinson at the other end after Matt Potts bowls a leg side ball.

Josh Bohannon follows another leg side ball without getting a bat on it.

    Maiden over.

  14. Postpublished at 16:27 British Summer Time 11 September

    Somerset 317 & 110-5 v Surrey 321

There's a few spots of rain on the camera lens and the clouds have snuffed out the sunshine.

James Rew plays out a maiden to Dan Worrall and umpires Steve O'Shaughnessy and David Millns then get together for a chat.

    We play on.

  15. wicket

WICKET Lloyd st McManus b Chahal 13published at 16:25 British Summer Time 11 September

    Northants 219 & 211 v Derbys 165 & 69-4 (target: 266)

    Guess who?!?

    Yuzvendra Chahal of course.

David Lloyd is off balance trying to work to leg and before he can readjust Lewis McManus has whipped the bails off.

  16. wicket

WICKET Scriven lbw Hill 2published at 16:24 British Summer Time 11 September

    Leicestershire 98 & 189-8 v Yorkshire 379

George Hill is congratulatedImage source, Rex Features

    Another for George Hill!

Tom Scriven is the latest to fall to the fast bowler.

The batter went back but the ball didn't get up enough and strikes him in front.

This one isn't going to last too much longer!

    Middlesex 377 & 43-1 v Gloucs 309-9 dec

The umpires will inspect the playing area at 16:25 BST.

There's still a lot of dark cloud cover and the floodlights are on.

One of the covers has however been removed!

  19. Postpublished at 16:21 British Summer Time 11 September

    Sussex 491 v Glamorgan 186 & 173-4

    Almost a fifth Glamorgan wicket!

Ben Kellaway clips behind square and is called through for a single by Kiran Carlson.

He misjudges the speed of Henry Crocombe in the field who picks up and hurls at the non-strikers end.

It misses, luckily for Kellaway. A direct hit and he looked in trouble.

  20. Sun out again at Chelmsfordpublished at 16:21 British Summer Time 11 September

    Essex 457 v Notts 93 & 98-2

The rain has relented and there's blue sky visible again in Essex.
