  1. They all count...published at 14:39 British Summer Time 17 May

    Lancashire 163-2 v Durham

    Sam Drury
BBC Sport cricket writer at Stanley Park

It's not a vintage dismissal but Durham and Ben Stokes will take it.

Josh Bohannon had pulled the England captain for four in the previous over and tried it again.

However, he top-edges a half-tracker to the fielder in the deep.

Good news for Durham and England fans that Stokes still has that wicket-taking knack when his side is in need.

  2. wicket

WICKET Lawrence c Roderick b Waite 84published at 14:38 British Summer Time 17 May

    Surrey 163-6 v Worcs

Huge wicket. That might change the course of the game.

Dan Lawrence is forward to Matthew Waite with a big flashing drive, but this ball is nowhere near the middle and is edged behind to Gareth Roderick for his third catch behind the stumps.

A wide ball that he could've left.

Sean Abbott is in at eight for the hosts and Surrey have lost their two highest scorers in two overs.

  3. wicket

WICKET: Bohannon c Parkinson b Stokes 39published at 14:37 British Summer Time 17 May

    Lancashire 163-2 v Durham

    Wicket for Ben Stokes!

We've seen the England captain get them before by digging the ball in short - and he comes up trumps again as Josh Bohannon obligingly hooks down the throat of deep square leg.

Durham needed that badly after Bohannon and Keaton Jennings, who's on 87, had added 76.

  4. Postpublished at 14:36 British Summer Time 17 May

    Somerset 191-4 v Kent

James Rew holds the pose as he's forward to George Garrett, driving through the off side.

That's his third four in this over and he moves smartly to 17 from just 16 balls.

  5. wicket

WICKET Pope c Roderick b Smith 63published at 14:32 British Summer Time 17 May

    Surrey 163-5 v Worcs

    And he's out next ball.

The reprieve doesn't cost Worcestershire a single run as Ollie Pope is forward with an angled bat, edging behind to the keeper.

Nathan Smith has his second wicket.

A partnership of 148 is broken and Jordan Clark is in next.

  6. dropped catch

Pope dropped on 59published at 14:31 British Summer Time 17 May

    Surrey 163-4 v Worcs

Close! Ollie Pope is reprieved on 59 as he edges Nathan Smith through first slip for four!

    Frustration for the Pears.

  7. Postpublished at 14:29 British Summer Time 17 May

    Somerset 179-4 v Kent

James Rew is off the mark, going forward to a full and wide ball from Grant Stewart and driving through point for four.

He leaves the ball outside off and then keeps the strike with a single pushed into the off side.

  8. wicket

WICKET: Bethell lbw b Cook 17published at 14:27 British Summer Time 17 May

    Essex v Warwickshire 104-6

Well, it was a useful partnership - but now it's come to an end.

Sam Cook collects his second wicket of the innings, trapping Jacob Bethell in front of his stumps.

Michael Burgess will look to build on the Bears' recovery with Ed Barnard, who's still there on 27.

  9. 6 runs

Dan Lawrence goes bigpublished at 14:24 British Summer Time 17 May

    Surrey 150-4 v Worcs

Great shot! Dan Lawrence is down the track to Joe Leach, lofting a ball not far short of a length down the ground for six.

In the next over, Ollie Pope is forward to Yadvinder Singh, pushing the bowler through the off side for one to bring up the Surrey 150 in the 38th over.

  10. Postpublished at 14:24 British Summer Time 17 May

It feels like the batting sides in Division One are definitely fighting back this afternoon.

  11. Hampshire spill chances post-lunchpublished at 14:23 British Summer Time 17 May

    Notts 86-6 v Hants

Keith Barker's luck doesn't seem to be in this afternoon - he's now seen both Calvin Harrison and Lyndon James put down off his bowling.

James, on 23, gets a life this time as he guides the left-armer to third slip, but James Vince can't hang on - and Hampshire, having caught just about everything this morning, are missing opportunities to press home their advantage now.

  12. Stokes close to a breakthroughpublished at 14:21 British Summer Time 17 May

    Lancashire 150-1 v Durham

    Sam Drury
BBC Sport cricket writer at Stanley Park

Durham are in need of a wicket and Ben Stokes, on for his third spell, so nearly provides it.

A leading edge from Keaton Jennings loops towards mid-on but drops just short.

The England captain can't believe it and his frustration grows when Jennings punches the next ball smartly through the covers.

  13. 100 up for Bearspublished at 14:20 British Summer Time 17 May

    Essex v Warwickshire 102-5

This is becoming a very useful partnership for the Bears as Ed Barnard and Jacob Bethell lead a mini-recovery from 64-5 and steer the total into three figures.

Barnard has 26 and Bethell 16, with the 100 coming up courtesy of a Shane Snater ball that flicked Bethell's pads and sped away to the boundary.

  14. wicket

WICKET Lammonby b Stewart 69published at 14:18 British Summer Time 17 May

    Somerset 172-4 v Kent

Grant Stewart gets the breakthrough for Kent this afternoon as Tom Lammonby plays on to his stumps.

James Rew comes in to bat.

  15. Postpublished at 14:18 British Summer Time 17 May

    Surrey 143-4 v Worcs

Shot! Dan Lawrence guides Joe Leach away through backward point for four runs. He makes it look so easy.

He gets an inside edge which just evades the stumps!

The Worcestershire search for a fifth wicket continues.

Lawrence's stand with Ollie Pope is up to 128.

  16. Postpublished at 14:15 British Summer Time 17 May

    Notts 85-6 v Hants

Close call for Calvin Harrison, who edges Keith Barker but wicketkeeper Ben Brown deflects it out of the path of the slip fielder and the ball rolls across the rope at third man.

This is starting to develop into a significant partnership between Harrison and Lyndon James, who have added 35 since they joined forces at 50-6. Notts could do with several more runs from this pair.

  17. Postpublished at 14:15 British Summer Time 17 May

    Somerset 172-3 v Kent

Tom Banton moves to 35 in what feels like the blink of an eye as he jabs away a fractionally short ball from Nathan Gilchrist square for four.

George Garrett is getting the ball to bounce awkwardly on a length just outside off stump at the other end, but Tom Lammonby and Banton see out the over, adding another five runs between them.

  18. Division Two latestpublished at 14:13 British Summer Time 17 May

Glamorgan have collapsed either side of lunch against Middlesex. They're now 92-5 in Cardiff, with Chris Cooke falling a moment ago for a duck.

Yorkshire are halfway through Sussex's batting line up. The hosts are 131-5 in Hove with plenty of work to do.

Gloucestershire are dominant at Leicestershire. Cameron Bancroft has 72 with the visitors 133-0.

Northants have lost three quick wickets at Derbyshire after an opening stand of 99 between Ricardo Vasconcelos and Emilio Gay to leave them 113-3.

  19. 50 runs

50 for Ollie Popepublished at 14:12 British Summer Time 17 May

    Surrey 134-4 v Worcs

Joe Leach continues from the Vauxhall End and Ollie Pope leaves outside off stump.

Pope gets a leading edge just past backward point for two and he has his first 50 of the season for Surrey.

Not his most fluent innings but a vital one nonetheless after the top order calamity this morning.

    100 balls and four fours.

  20. 50 partnership for Jennings and Bohannonpublished at 14:09 British Summer Time 17 May

    Lancashire 139-1 v Durham

Ben Raine has beaten the bat a few times, but he hasn't been able to break this second-wicket partnership which has just advanced past 50, courtesy of a sweetly-driven cover boundary by Josh Bohannon.

Bohannon has 25 to his name, with Keaton Jennings on 80.
