    Surrey 173-4 (Target 315)

Lyndon James gets the second over and serves up a lovely first one outside off stump for Dan Lawrence to lash away for two runs.

The next one swings in and Lawrence shuffles across to pick it off middle stump for a single.

Ryan Patel gets off the mark before Lawrence feels for one outside off stump and gives the bowler a little nod of approval for a good delivery.

Runs coming at the start of this session - 10 from the first two overs.

    Surrey 168-4 (Target 315)

Five runs from the opening over.

A third and final straw poll then - yesterday you went for Notts, this morning you went for Surrey - who is getting this done?

Thumbs up if you make Surrey the favourites and thumbs down for a Notts win.

  3. Postpublished at 13:14 BST 18 September

    Somerset 454-8 dec v Hampshire 172 & 82-3

Archie Vaughan gets going with his 28th over.

Ben Brown sticks the middle of his bat in the way of the first ball of the afternoon. What drama will befall Taunton in the next few hours?

  4. Postpublished at 13:14 BST 18 September

    Durham 114-2 v Worcs 591-9 dec

Emilio Gay picks up where he left off and whips a lovely shot off his toes for four.

There's then a delay as stewards try to find the ball...

Jaydev Unadkat goes for a big drive but edges to second slip where Dom Bess does well to pull in a fast-moving, face-level catch.

Hill finishes with 4-43, another excellent display by the improving all-rounder. Ollie Robinson is left on 21 not out.

  6. Postpublished at 13:13 BST 18 September

    Lancashire 239-3 v Middlesex 211

We are back under way at Old Trafford.

Zafar Gohar with the ball as Lancashire resume with a lead of 28. If this isn't a draw then we'll have seen something very special, and Glamorgan will have to wait.

  7. Batting point for Sussexpublished at 13:13 BST 18 September

    Sussex 250-9 v Yorks 194

Ollie Robinson edges Dom Bess to third man for four and then tucks the next ball down to the long leg boundary. Sussex have a batting point.

  8. Postpublished at 13:12 BST 18 September

    Surrey 163-4 (Target 315)

We're back out at The Oval.

Lots of people taking a walk on the outfield at the break - I went for a walk myself just to release some tension.

Josh Tongue gets us going after the interval and Dan Lawrence plays that one out for no addition to the score.

  9. Postpublished at 13:09 BST 18 September

    Sussex 242-9 v Yorks 194

Almost another for George Hill as Jaydev Unadkat edges but the ball doesn't quite carry to the diving Jonny Bairstow and runs away for four.

  10. wicket

    Hunt c Bairstow b Hill 5 (Sussex 238-9 v Yorks 194)

Sussex lose their first wicket of the final day.

It's a good ball from George Hill and a faint edge by Sean Hunt is easily taken behind the stumps by Jonny Bairstow.

  11. Postpublished at 13:01 BST 18 September

    Sussex 232-8 v Yorks 194

George Hill bowls the first over following the loss of the morning session and it's a maiden to Sean Hunt.

  12. LEICESTERSHIRE - DIVISION TWO CHAMPIONSpublished at 13:01 BST 18 September
    Breaking

    Leicestershire 459-7 dec v Kent 17-0 - match drawn

No play possible on day four at Grace Road but Leicestershire won't care much about that - following last week's promotion, they are Division Two champions.

The 13 points they take from this game means they cannot be caught at the top, irrespective of the result of next week's game away to Northamptonshire.

However, they will have to wait until the end of that match to get their hands on the Div Two trophy.

Play was only possible on day two of this game, during which Foxes opener Rishi Patel hit 114, Ben Cox 93 and Shan Masood 90 against a Kent side which included five teenagers.

  13. WARWICKSHIRE DRAW WITH ESSEXpublished at 12:56 BST 18 September
    Breaking

    Warwickshire v Essex 325-5

After the inspection at 12:30 BST, the match at Edgbaston has been called off because of a wet outfield.

It ends in a draw with very little play possible across the four days.

  14. Postpublished at 12:51 BST 18 September

    Sussex 232-8 v Yorkshire 194

It's pretty murky overhead at Hove and the lights are on but as we mentioned earlier, there will be play at 1:00pm unless there is a deterioration in conditions. The square is now uncovered.

    Somerset 454-8 dec v Hampshire 172 & 82-3 - lunch

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

Somerset have picked up two wickets but they'll be disappointed not to have picked a couple more in that session.

The pitch is still taking that sharp turn but credit to the Hampshire batters, especially Nick Gubbins with 19 from 107 balls.

  17. Lunch at Old Traffordpublished at 12:38 BST 18 September

    Lancashire 239-3 v Middlesex 211

The wickets of Josh Bohannon and Keaton Jennings provided Middlesex with a lift late in the session, but it has been a productive morning for Lancashire, who added 134 to their overnight 105-0.

Luke Wells went early for 62, but Bohannon and Jennings added 113 in 18 overs for the second wicket - with the latter hitting two sixes and 14 fours in his 87 off 69 balls.

He was eventually bowled by Toby Roland-Jones and Jennings followed for 61 when he fell to youngster Seb Morgan.

Lancashire lead by 28 and unless Middlesex find a way to win, it looks like Glamorgan will be taking the second promotion spot from Division Two.

That is lunch at Bristol - Northants are in a spot of bother.

Emilio Gay - who has batted superbly this morning - and David Bedingham take Durham through to lunch at 109-2.

Gay has 61 and Bedingham 24 on a pitch that continues to offer very little to bowlers.

  20. Lunch at Tauntonpublished at 12:33 BST 18 September

    Somerset 454-8 dec v Hampshire 172 & 82-3

    Hampshire's morning? Just about.

Archie Vaughan added two wickets - he has three for 40 in an epic 27 overs - as Fletcha Middleton and Toby Albert fell, but it has largely been a morning of patience and frustration for Somerset.

The main reason for that? Nick Gubbins.

The left-handed batter has faced 107 in his two hours at the crease. Albert stuck around with him for just over an hour, while captain Ben Brown has blocked from his end for 40 minutes.

You'd still fancy Somerset to get on a wicket-taking roll at some point but for now, Hampshire are escaping.
