We saw Rachel Slater get the huge wicket of Stafanie Taylor [against West Indies] - it was a beautiful ball and it just nipped in.

She was one of the most economical bowlers in the Hundred, she's a really good opening bowler.

Lovely start from Slater, just three runs conceded by the left-arm seamer.

A lot will rely on the opening pair.

I would have pushed Anneke Bosch down the order and don't think I would have played her in this game - I would have played an extra seamer.

  4. SA 1-0published at 0.1 overs

Laura Wolvaardt helps herself to a single from Rachel Slater's first ball to get South Africa immediately under way.

Right, anthems are done and Laura Wolvaardt and Tazmin Brits make their way into the middle.

They have been crucial for South Africa making positive starts in their two matches so far, so Scotland will be desperate to break the partnership early.

Scotland captain Kathryn Bryce: "We've got a lot of things to put right, we need to start well with the ball now and put them under pressure with consistent wickets.

"With the bat, we need to work on putting more partnerships together.

"The pitch looks like it's changed aand with some shorter boundaries. I think if we keep them to less than 140 or so, we will be confident."

  8. Postpublished at 10:53 British Summer Time

South Africa captain Laura Wolvaardt: "It looks quite dry, so we want to make the first use of the pitch.

"I was in two minds because we chased well here [against West Indies].

"Net run-rate isn't playing too much into it, we just want to win first and foremost and keep ourselves in a good position in the table."

  9. South Africa win the toss and bat firstpublished at 10:53 British Summer Time

Laura Wolvaardt has been in sparkling form with the bat in South Africa's two games so far, so it's no wonder that's what she has chosen to do first in Dubai.
