A spectator stood next to me is predicting a 6-5 Littler win and four 6-5 scorelines in the quarter-finals.

He might be pretty close with that call.

  3. Littler breakspublished at 20:07 British Summer Time 8 May

    Aspinall 2-3 Littler

Two very disappointing visits from Nathan Aspinall sees the leg get away from him.

A third just takes a bit more pressure off Luke Littler for his 78 checkout.

No problem for the 18-year-old, tops to break for the first time tonight.

    Aspinall 2-2 Littler

Magnificent 161 set-up from Luke Littler to leave himself 24.

When Nathan Aspinall is unable to reel in the big fish, Littler comes back to secure a 14-darter on double six.

    Aspinall 2-1 Littler

Nathan Aspinall has begun brilliantly when he's thrown first.

After a 10-darter to start, he follows up with a 13-darter to retake the lead.

After a 134 and a pair of 140, he hits double six to hold.

Luke Littler is getting a mixture of “Luke” and boos chanted but it’s all in good jest.

After some Leeds United chants, “we all hate Leeds” is sung in response and Littler smiles and joins in while throwing.

While he took the leg, the singing seemed to put him off, throwing an eight when going at 11.

    Aspinall 1-1 Littler

Barely more than a spectator in the first leg, Luke Littler gets himself on the board in the second.

A 14-dart hold for the world champion. Sealed on his favoured double 10.

Every single one of Nathan Aspinall's first seven darts were cheered and when his eighth missed treble 19, his groans were shared with this capacity crowd, and Luke Littler.

Almost the dream start for The Asp.

  9. 10-darter for Aspinallpublished at 19:59 British Summer Time 8 May

    Aspinall 1-0 Littler

Seven perfect darts to start the match for Nathan Aspinall!

There are still boos from the crowd when he doesn't hit the treble 19 to continue the nine-dart attempt but you can't do too much more than that to begin a must-win game.

Double 16 clinches a 10-darter. Brilliant from The Asp.

I was pleased for Luke Littler last week, we expected him to get that win but not for it to take that long. He can enjoy the rest of the league phase now.

Maybe it wasn't boos for Luke Littler after all then?

Makes his reaction slightly more interesting. Maybe even the world champion assumed it was boos rather than "Luuuuuke"?

This sold out Leeds crowd are loving this next match-up.

Nathan Aspinall’s walk out of ‘Mr Brightside’ is superbly sung back at him before chants of “LUKE” start second later.

‘Green Light’ might not have the same singalong factor, but Luke Littler’s popularity has transcended darts to previously unheard of levels and he is reminded of that on a weekly basis in this Premier League format.

There are boos for Manchester United fan Luke Littler from the Leeds crowd but the 18-year-old just mimes yawning.

He's used to it all by now.

  14. 'I can't finish fifth again, it will break me'published at 19:54 British Summer Time 8 May

    Aspinall v Littler

Nathan Aspinall talking to Sky Sports about whether this is his best chance of reaching the Premier League play-offs: "No I thought last year probably was and I messed that up by not winning a game in the last three weeks - I'm going to learn from that.

"I can't finish fifth for the third year in a row, it will break me.

"It is still in my hands. I will put everything into this first match but then next week is a big week against Michael van Gerwen. There are three of us now playing for two spots I think."

Nathan Aspinall really needs to get stuck in.

He can be as aggressive as anyone and he needs to do that.

It is not about disrespect but it is about what you need to do, if you feel like you need to shout and show off to even put Luke off a bit he's got to be himself.

    Aspinall v Littler

Luke Littler talking to Sky Sports: "Nathan knows my record against him. I'll be relaxed tonight and see if I can pick up that sixth nightly win.

"It is tough for Nathan, he needs to beat me tonight to get into the top four but I've just got to do my job at the same time.

"There are more records I can break: the average record and the points record that I could beat tonight."

  17. Littler to continue dominance over Aspinall?published at 19:51 British Summer Time 8 May

For Luke Littler, there is very little riding on the next three weeks.

The world champion qualified for the play-offs with his record fifth nightly win in Birmingham last Thursday and with a nine-point buffer at the top of the table, there seems little danger he won't win the league stage.

It's a very different story for Nathan Aspinall, who is currently fifth, a place outside the top four and hoping to avoid narrowly missing out on finals night for the third straight year.

The Asp needs every win he can get right now but to do that tonight, he'll need to overcome a terrible record against Littler.

The teenager has won 12 of their past 13 meetings, including a 6-5 win in the semi-finals last week.

  18. Cross facing Premier League exitpublished at 19:50 British Summer Time 8 May

    Result: Cross 5-6 Price

How long will Rob Cross rue those missed darts at double eight and double four.

It is the biggest favour Gerwyn Price could have asked for. Another quarter-final win for the Iceman closes the gap on world number one Luke Humphries and strengthens his case for a place on finals night.

It is the business end of the season and Cross' chances of reaching the last four have just become even less likely.

Voltage will end the night at least six points off the top four with only two more nights to go after this evening.

  19. Postpublished at 19:48 British Summer Time 8 May

    Result: Cross 5-6 Price

Given he finished with an average of 88.76, Rob Cross will wonder quite how he found himself in a position to have darts for the match.

But he did and he was unable to take them. It was that kind of game for him - he was just 26.3% on the outer ring.

Gerwyn Price won't be thrilled with his stats either, an average of 94.16, two 180s and only 30% on the doubles.

He'll need to do better in the semi-finals but that was enough for two big, big points.

Gerwyn Price takes it in the decider!

A huge celebration from the Welshman as he takes a big step towards the play-offs.

It required a big let-off in a game in which he wasn't at his best with Rob Cross missing two darts for the match.

Chances on double eight then double four went begging before Price hit double top for the win.
