There are 64 gold medals to be won on Sunday, with ParalympicsGB in contention in a number of events.

Three years ago in Tokyo, husband and wife Neil and Lora Fachie both won golds in the space of 16 minutes and the pair will be hoping to repeat the feat on the final day of the track cycling programme.

Neil and pilot Matt Rotherham are world champions in the B 1,000m time trial (final 12:51), while Lora and Corrine Hall will also face a tough challenge in the B 3,000m individual pursuit (qualifying 10:22, final 13:31) against world champions and team-mates Lizzi Jordan and Danni Khan and the 2023 world champions Sophie Unwin and Jenny Holl.

And the GB team sprint team, likely to include Jody Cundy and Kadeena Cox, will be hoping to beat a strong China side in the final event of the programme (14:30).

The rivalry between former swimming team-mates Lauren Steadman and Claire Cashmore will continue in the PTS5 triathlon event (11:35) – the British pair won gold and bronze in Tokyo.

Dave Ellis and guide Luke Pollard will bid to make up for Tokyo heartbreak where bike failure ended their strong chance of winning the men’s PTVI event (11:00).

In the women’s PTVI (11:05), Alison Peasgood won silver in Rio but was fourth in Tokyo. She is back at the top level after having son Logan last August and will be aiming to impress again with guide Brooke Gillies.

It is also a busy morning for the rowers as their competition reaches its climax with Lauren Rowles, aiming for a third consecutive gold, and Gregg Stevenson strong favourites in the mixed double sculls (10:50) while the PR3 mixed coxed four (11:30) will be hoping to continue GB’s unbeaten record in the class at major championships which goes back to 2011.

At the pool, there could be double breaststroke success for GB with Maisie Summers-Newton defending her SB6 title (16:37) while Grace Harvey will hope to go one better than her Tokyo silver in the SB5 event (18:51).

Brock Whiston should feature in the SM8 200m medley final (17:07) while the mixed S14 4x100m freestyle team are well fancied to retain the title GB won in Tokyo (19:13).

Wheelchair racer Hannah Cockroft goes for her fourth consecutive T34 100m title (19:33) with Kare Adenegan hoping to claim another medal, while world champion Sabrina Fortune goes into the F20 shot put (18:00).

Boccia player Claire Taggart will be aiming to win the first women’s BC2 Paralympic title (18:35).

  5. "I can't believe it!" - Truesdale on goldpublished at 21:00 British Summer Time 31 August

    Women's K44 +65kg

Amy Truesdale has been talking to Channel 4 about her taekwondo win: "I don't think it's sunk in, I was like 'I don't know what to do as a celebration' but for me it's the last medal I need to complete my para-taekwondo career. I'm Paralympic champion, I've made history, I'm the first person to do it and I'm so grateful for the support and I think I just need to cry on my own for 20 minutes after the medal ceremony."

On three fights in one day: "Three hard fights today, people who know me, who know me after Tokyo, the hardest fight is the one I have every day in my mind but I smashed that today. I'm grateful that's the fight that I won."

On family support: "Amy's Army, bit of a military family so that's the link to it. Yeah, it's just so crazy. They've not seen me fight for years, obviously I've been in the sport many years so yeah, it's amazing they've been able to support me today and yeah, I don't think it's sunk in yet, I think like that last minute as you seen, like I was a little bit on edge because I accidentally a kicked a bit incorrectly so I'm glad I got the win."

The gameplan: "For me, it was just like I needed to be present and focus on my game plan, that was my targets for the day, which I've done. I feel like I actually need to look at the crowd, I was so focused on getting to the mat, I've not really like experienced, I didn't want that as a distraction, I just wanted to be on and then enjoy the atmosphere afterwards. I can't believe it!"

Truesdale wins Para-Taekwondo gold!published at 20:37 British Summer Time 31 August
    Breaking

    Women's K44 +65kg final

    Gold for Amy Truesdale!

In the same way she dominated her quarter-final and semi-final bouts, Truesdale restricted the chances for Uzbekistan's Guljonoy Naimova to score points and in doing so, takes home the gold medal.

The score was 8-1 to Truesdale when her kick inadvertently caught Naimova in the final, who had a nightmare bout.

Naimova's coach forgot her gum shield and video report card, which cost Naimova a point before the bout even started.

From there, Truesdale took control and when her kick caught Naimova in the face, Truesdale knew her performance had been pure dominance and Naimova's only chance of winning gold, after refusing to continue despite being medically cleared, where by Truesdale getting disqualified.

Naimova wanted a red card for Truesdale, she was only shown a yellow and at the same time, Truesdale was declared victorious.

With one minute and five seconds to go, Amy Truesdale's bout with Guljonoy Naimova is paused after Naimova is kicked in the face.

Truesdale protests her innocence and Naimova does not want to continue, despite being medically cleared to.

    What will the officials decide?

    Women's K44 +65kg final

Probably a welcomed advantage for Amy Truesdale, who starts 1-0 up before the bout begins, with her opponent, Uzbekistan's Guljonoy Naimova, penalised for causing a late start to the contest due to not having her gum shield on time.

It is a cagey start, but Truesdale lands the few early blows in this contest.

At the halfway interval Truesdale leads 8-1.
