Marcel Hug's silver helmet has seen him dubbed the Silver Bullet - but he is certainly no stranger to gold.

The 38-year-old is aiming to add to his six Paralympic titles at the Stade de France, having claimed four golds in Tokyo three years ago.

Second best to Britain's David Weir at London 2012, the Swiss then won his first Paralympic golds in Rio in the T54 800m and marathon.

But in Tokyo, he completed a clean sweep of golds in the 800m, 1500m, 5,000m and marathon before adding three world golds on the track in Paris last year.

Tonight, in the Stade de France, he begins his latest quadruple bid.

ParalympicsGB legend David Weir has six Paralympic golds and 10 medals to his name, with this his seventh Games after making his debut as a 17-year-old in Atlanta 28 years ago.

The 45-year-old, an eight-time London Marathon champion, last medalled at London 2012 when he won four golds - but he has vowed that he is not in Paris just to make up the numbers.

Weir broke the T54 5,000m British record in February, finishing just 0.2 seconds behind Marcel Hug as the Swiss set a new world record time of nine minutes 13.81 seconds in Dubai.

He has also set new personal bests over 800m and 1500m, despite previously retiring from track competition.

"I've got my spark back, I feel like I'm 10 years younger," he told BBC Sport earlier this year.

"It was a shock to me in Dubai because I didn't think I could keep up with the guys but I raced really well."

It was Hug who took the T54 5,000m title in Tokyo three years ago, one of four golds he won at those Games.

    SM7 Women's 200m Individual Medley

Ioan Winnifrith, 13, has just finished fourth in the SM7 women's 200m individual medley.

An excellent swim from the teenager at her first Paralympics. She was last at halfway, but a superb third and fourth leg really cut down the 14-second gap she had behind the leader at the halfway point.

With a time of 3:03.25, she finished just shy of 10 seconds behind the leader, but did set a European record with that time. A superb race from her.

Gold goes to Mallory Weggemann of the United States, almost four seconds clear of Canada's Tess Routliffe in second. America also take the bronze through Julia Gaffney.
