American archer Tracy Otto, who was paralysed in a home invasion attack by her ex-boyfriend before taking up para-archery and working her way to the Paralympics, was eliminated in the quarter-final of her individual event yesterday.

But while Tracy missed out on a medal, she did get something shiny yesterday - an engagement ring from boyfriend Rick Riessle, who proposed under the Eiffel Tower, external on Saturday night.

Tracy, you'll be delighted to hear, said yes.

Riessle was also injured in the attack where Tracy was paralysed, and has stayed by her side ever since, including through all her competitions and journey to Paris.

Congratulations to both Tracy and Ricky!

ParalympicsGB's Lora Fachie on picking up bronze with pilot Corrine Hall: “To get a medal and get a piece of the Eiffel Tower is pretty special."

On her son Fraser being present: "It was very special, I know there were a few tears shed, tears of joy. It's very special and to be able to go out and do this whilst being a mum - it's great.

"He understands bikes and he knows that I ride with Corrine so he likes his mummy and Corrine and he knows we ride very fast. When we were watching the Olympics, we were telling him all about it and he learned to say go ‘Team GB’ so we’ve been trying to teach him ‘ParalympicsGB’.

"He knew gold, silver, bronze medals and that's it really. For me, to see him happy and thriving, that's the important thing."

    Para-cycling - men's B 1,000m time trial

Here's ParalympicsGB's Neil Fachie after winning silver with pilot Matthew Rotherham during the men's B 1,000m time trial final earlier this afternoon:

“I think we're both proud of ourselves. We came for the gold but it was always going to be hard. I thought we rode really well all day today, we executed the plan the way we wanted it to. Our opening lap has been mega, but I felt like I didn't have the legs at the end of the race today and that's where our team-mates had the better of us. It’s the only time they’ve ever gone quicker than us so fair play to them, I think we can be really proud of ourselves, we couldn’t have done more today."

On the possibility of riding at another Games:

"Never say never but I'm not getting younger and it definitely hurts more. But it would be rubbish to end on a silver. I'm not saying I could come back and win gold but Matt said I have a habit of going gold, silver, gold, silver in Paralympics. We'll keep trying and we'll see what happens."

14 medals in total, including five golds. It could have been better had it not been for a couple of crashes in finals - but it is certainly a total to be proud of.

Sarah Storey is the world record holder in this event, but chose not to enter any track cycling events in Paris in order to focus her efforts on the road events.

Rowing - PR3 mixed coxed four

Erin Kennedy was the cox of Great Britain's gold-medal winning PR3 mixed coxed four team this morning.

Kennedy was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2022 and was given the all clear last year.

"Today is the end of a narrative chapter in my life that I didn't really want to start," she said after winning gold. "It has been a bit of a mental three years and 680 days since I was diagnosed, which can be a lot or not a lot, depending on how you look at it.

"Rowing has been the constant for me when things were changing and always provided the goal. I just pass a lot of the credit on to my team-mates, the belief in myself might have run out at some point but they never let it happen."

Josh O'Brien, speaking to Channel 4: "Absolutely unbelievable. I think this boat's been unbeaten for about 14 years now and just to be a part of that is such an honour. I think we just had trust in each other today that we'd go out there and keep up our winning streak and we've done it and it feels amazing."

Erin Kennedy on sacrifices: "[Giedre Rakauskaite] and I were in Tokyo so this was pretty much the end of the Games, we were getting on a flight next day and now, I don't know if you've heard the crowd, I think we've got maybe a fifth of the seats between all of the British contingent so we're just going to enjoy it with our friends and family.

"Everyone talks about sacrifice in sport but actually the people who make the real sacrifices are our nearest and dearest and actually I think we were all racing for them. I'm sure every single member of the family are going to be trying on all of our medals, having all the pictures and just soaking it all in."

SH1 Mixed 10m Air Rifle Prone Final

Matt Skelhon has been speaking following his fifth-placed finish in the SH1 Mixed 10m Air Rifle Prone Final earlier today.

Skelhon said: "It's massively frustrating. It's been a bit of a tough week with the air rifle. Training has been slightly under-par but then everybody else has been in the same boat.

"The match was a couple of points down minimum on what it should be but then I made it into the final because it was the same for everyone out there.

"In the final I felt really good, it was a massive improvement on Tokyo three years ago where I was an absolute bag of nerves. I managed to compose myself, to stick to my process, do everything I could do. I didn't leave anything behind, I put it all out there and it just wasn't enough on the day."

    Women's B 3,000m individual pursuit

Sophie Unwin, speaking to Channel 4: "This was the event we wanted, we set out the goal after the World Championships last year, we said 'pursuit is what we want', we tried something totally new coming into this and we weren't sure it was going to work out for us, but just incredible.

"After the World Championships, Jenny went 'let's going for the world record' and I was like 'yeah, sure Jenny!!'"

Pilot Jenny Holl: "We've completed the set, when you include our Tokyo medals, we're done!

"So the winning two men's tandems, our guys and the Dutch, they ride a massive gear and we decided to try it. It's been three or four months and it's been well hard, it started off horrifically and we're like 'it's going to be a disaster' but we needed to do something new, we came second at the World Championships this year and we had nothing more than that, that's what we had then and we didn't want another silver medal."

"To say I'm a Paralympic medallist is a dream come true. To represent ParalympicsGB is a privilege but to win a medal for them and for myself, after a 20-year process is the cherry on top of the cake.

"I'll certainly enjoy the final. I perform well in finals, there's no pressure as you’ve made it to the end. I've enjoyed the whole event and I will enjoy the final."
