Guernsey FC's winless run continued as they lost 2-0 at Hartley Wintney.

The hosts impressed in the first half as Guernsey's Josh Addison kept the islanders in it with some fine saves before Reece Wylie converted Marcio Neves' cross just before half time.

Neves' cool finish 11 minutes after the break doubled Hartley's lead as the hosts continued to dominate.

Addison made another good save while George Wallace and Neves also went close for the home side.

The loss keeps Guernsey in the relegation places in Isthmian League South Central after 12 games.

The Green Lions have not won since the opening game of the season, while Hartley continue to push towards the play-off places.

"All in all that's probably the best front six I've seen in this league as a unit," Guernsey manager Tony Vance said of his side's opponents.

"Their movement was really, really good, to the extent that it forced us to make changes and we had to make too many.

"But it's also important that when you do that you don't go backs to the wall, you've got to have threat as well.

"Whilst we weren't fantastic first half they were always knocking on the door and they deserved their first goal.

"We changed the shape again at half-time and put some stability back into the group and I thought [the] second half was so much better.

"We have given away a really poor goal that probably gave us a mountain to climb, but we had them rattled a little bit - they were always threat but I think we had them pushed a little bit."
