  4. 'We want to aim as high as possible'published at 19:57 Greenwich Mean Time

    FT: Bournemouth 1-2 Brentford

    Brentford

Brentford manager Thomas Frank, speaking to Sky Sports: "I think we played a good first half, I am very pleased with it in many, many ways. We had six big moments where we didn't get a shot off. Those are big moments we need to get more.

"Second half Bournemouth started better than us for the first five,10 minutes, then I think it was relatively even. Then we go up 2-1 and from there it was not a pretty game but that happens sometimes.

"I think it was the first time in a long time where it was an even game and we edged it, so I'm really pleased.

"Keith Andrews [Brentford set-piece coach] is doing a very good job, the players are doing a very good job and the coaching around is very good. Set-pieces are crucial and they won us the game today.

"This is our 50th Premier League win and there's only 10 clubs who have done this quicker than us. That's crazy. Taking it into consideration, our journey, our size, I think that's a day we should be proud of.

"Of course, we want to look up and aim as high as possible. Big win, a little break and then we go again."

  5. 'Disappointing result for us'published at 19:55 Greenwich Mean Time

    FT: Bournemouth 1-2 Brentford

    Bournemouth

Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "Disappointing result for us. We were better today but not in the most important things. This happening a lot of times lately and we have to be better in key moments.

On creating chances: "We are creating a lot, we have been like this all season but we need to score more. You have to value every chance. Football is small margins. We need to be more ruthless, definitely, we need to improve in the moments that matter more.

On recent results: "Results-wise, we are in the worst moment in the last four games and we are not being clinical enough and inside the box is the most important thing."

  6. 'We have the quality to get European football'published at 19:53 Greenwich Mean Time

    FT: Bournemouth 1-2 Brentford

    Brentford

Brentford midfielder Christian Norgaard, speaking to BBC MOTD: "I think it was a very, tight even game and I have to give credit to Bournemouth, as well. In the second half they were, maybe, better than us.

"It was a must-win game if we want to go for something a bit bigger this season.

"All of our set-piece goals are straight from the training pitch, it's something we work on during the week but we still have to execute it.

"It's nice that we've created good form away from home but now we need to start winning games at home, which we did so brilliantly at the start of the season.

"Why not go for it [European football]? We are now pretty clear of the relegation battle, which is nice because we did find ourselves in that position last year. There's loads of good teams going for those European spots, but we have quality to nail one of them."

  7. 'We were not efficient enough'published at 19:51 Greenwich Mean Time

    FT: Bournemouth 1-2 Brentford

    Bournemouth

Bournemouth boss Anondi Iraola speaking to Sky Sports: "It is frustrating to lose because we did a lot of good things. We probably had the better chances to score but we are not efficient enough, we don't make that difference.

"We need to create a lot of chances and other teams like Brentford need fewer chances to score. They were more efficient than us. They punished us. We haven't found the chances well when we are creating them and that is the main difference.

"When you have the clearest chances but at the end of the day, what matters is the points. We need to improve in the decisive moments because in the end that is what makes the difference."

  8. Postpublished at 19:46 Greenwich Mean Time

Don't forget, we're into the international break after tomorrow.

Bournemouth will be disappointed not to be going into that in a slightly better league position.

I'm aware that sounds ridiculous given the brilliant season they have had. But they are capable of taking a European place so, why not.

  9. 'I like Bournemouth because they play with confidence'published at 19:38 Greenwich Mean Time

    FT: Bournemouth 1-2 Brentford

    Brentford

Brentford forward Yoane Wissa, speaking to Premier League Productions: "This is the kind of game I like, when it is open and goes end to end.

On playing against Bournemouth: "I like this team because they play with a lot of confidence, I like this kind of team. I enjoy playing against them. We suffered a lot, especially in the second half. We got three points today so I'm very pleased about that."

On playing Newcastle next: "We take game by game. If you want to reach your targets, you have to win this kind of game and then win against Newcastle. We have the international break and then we have to come back and work hard."

  10. 'I blame myself'published at 19:35 Greenwich Mean Time

    FT: Bournemouth 1-2 Brentford

    Bournemouth

Bournemouth defender Dean Huijsen, speaking to Premier League Productions: "[It's] so frustrating, it's all I can say.

"It's easy, we gave it away so easily. I blame myself too, it's not good enough, two set-pieces they score, they didn't create nothing.

"It can't be that easy to score set-pieces like that against us. It has to be better.

"I think we could score another goal but it starts with defending. We always score.

"We've been doing very well. I don't think our play has been bad at all, we definitely deserve to get more points in these last few games."
