  1. 'Great money' for O'Riley for Celtic - Grantpublished at 11:56 British Summer Time 25 August

    Peter Grant
Former Celtic player on BBC Sportsound

It's a great amount of money for Matt O'Riley, especially when you consider Celtic paid £1.5m for him.

Brendan Rodgers will be disappointed to lose him, but that's the way it is. It shows that people can come to Scotland and make a name for themselves.

His performances and professionalism were outstanding right up to the very last moment.

  2. Rangers hit six, Hibs denied & United off the markpublished at 11:54 British Summer Time 25 August

Saturday's Premiership card produced 12 goals, with half of those at Hampden.

Rangers scored six without reply against Ross County in what could be the Ibrox side's last game at their temporary home.

Dundee scored late to secure a 2-2 draw at Hibernian and Dundee United recorded their first league win since promotion, 2-0 against visitors St Johnstone.

St Mirren manager Stephen Robinson tells me it's very important captain Mark O'Hara was able to return for the visit of Celtic. He also says the champions are very predictable "in the best possible way". He means they do what they do so well that he can prepare a team to try to counteract them.

That said, Celtic won all their matches against the Buddies last season. With an aggregate score of 13-3. It was 5-0 for the two games here in Paisley.

  4. St Mirren 'have to stay in the game' - Robinsonpublished at 11:48 British Summer Time 25 August

    St Mirren v Celtic (12:00)

St Mirren manager Stephen Robinson tells BBC Scotland: "With the injuries we have to Dennis [Adeniran] and Caolan [Boyd-Munce] in that midfield area, it's important we got Mark [O'Hara] back again. Hopefully, he's back firing and it's a big boost for us.

"Killian [Phillips] coming into the team boosts our energy and hopefully we can match Celtic's running.

"I don't think Celtic are built on one player and they've got talented players throughout the squad. You have to stay in the game. They will start bright and we have to match that in the first 15-20 minutes. We hope to be diligent, we've worked on their threats.

"It's never a surprise what they do, it's just coping with that."

    St Mirren v Celtic (12:00)

As well as Paulo Bernardo replacing Matt O'Riley, Adam Idah comes into the Celtic starting line-up. It's the forward's first start since joining the club on a permanent deal from Norwich, following last season's loan deal.

Nicolas Kuhn drops to the bench for the visitors and forward Kyogo Furuhashi is also among the substitutes after missing last weekend's Scottish League Cup win over Hibernian.

Celtic midfielder Matt O'Riley is in Brighton finalising his megabucks move to the Premier League side. A great move for the player and great business for the club is how is soon-to-be ex-manager Brendan Rodgers describes it.

It also opens the door for one of Celtic's summer signings, Paulo Bernardo, who goes straight into the O'Riley role, alongside Callum McGregor and Reo Hatate. Celtic's big-money capture of the window so far, Adam Idah, gets his first start since re-joining the club on a permanent basis from Norwich.

  9. 'Magnificent' O'Riley completing Brighton medical - Rodgerspublished at 11:33 British Summer Time 25 August

    St Mirren v Celtic (12:00)

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers tells BBC Scotland regarding Matt O'Riley: "He'll be down in Brighton, completing his medical so we expect that to go through over the course of the next couple of days.

"If a player leaves here, you pay for the player and not necessarily the league. The club have done great in terms of a business perspective, of course.

"From a footballing perspective, you're always sad to lose a top player. He's been absolutely magnificent in this last year. Pleased for Matt in terms of he gets a move to the Premier League and, for us, we continue to push on and that's the model of the club."

On possible incomings, Rodgers commented: "Ideal scenario is we wouldn't be having to do so much business in the last week, however there's still that time for us to do something and improve the squad.

"Hopefully over the course of this next week, we can get some players in that can give us strength in depth in the squad because after September we've got a really long season."
