The second half started very, very similarly to the first. They are trying to get Fernandez on the ball in that ten position, he's not had much of an impact so far. You wonder when they will try to get Palmer into that central area so he can be more effective more often.

Be interesting to see how much longer Isak gets. He’s looked quite sharp given how little pre-season training he’s had.

    Leon Osman
Former Everton and England midfielder on MOTD: UEFA Champions League

I wasn't completely surprised that Atletico scored because they had been improving into the game, but until then they had not been troubling Alisson.

They didn't really have the pace to scare Liverpool and Antoine Griezmann and Giacomo Raspadori were being kept quiet by Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate.

Their goal came because they tried something different, with Marcos Llorente getting up the pitch from right-back, and now they are back in the game.

Chelsea have played well this first half away to one of the best teams in Europe. It’s a good step up for number of champions league debutants, and Bayern hasn’t been all comfortable at home. That extra midfielder has caused issues for Bayern who at times had to track back to prevent trouble. Good surprise tactics by Maresca.

  12. 'I would go back and help him'published at 21:02 BST 17 September

    HT: Bayern Munich 2-1 Chelsea

    Pat Nevin
Former Chelsea winger on BBC Radio 5 Live at Allianz Arena

On how Cucurella starts to deal with Olise on the wing:

As a winger I would go back and help him now because it's hard. It's not that he is being beaten again and again one on one but because Olise is so in control of everything, they are trying to get close and that leaves a gap somewhere else.

When there is a gap somewhere else Olise will find them. Sometimes it takes just one player to move a team back 20 yards, and Olise is doing that to Chelsea right now.

    HT: PSG 2-0 Atalanta

    John Bennett
    BBC 5 Live reporter

For the second game running PSG boss Luis Enrique is watching the first half from the press box in the stands because he thinks there's a better view. He's been inspired by rugby coaches. He's sitting in the stands wearing big headphones so he can communicate with the bench.

    Pat Nevin

Micheal Olise reminds me of Laurie Cunningham so much. He glides across the ground in an almost super human way. His vision is off the scale, his skills are fantastic and he is the reason that Bayern are winning.

  16. 'Gravenberch the best player on the pitch'published at 20:56 BST 17 September

    HT Liverpool 2-1 Atletico Madrid

    Leon Osman
Former Everton and England midfielder on MOTD: UEFA Champions League

Until Atletico scored, that half was Liverpool's best of the season in terms of being in control. A big reason for that was Ryan Gravenberch, who has been ridiculously good so far. He's been the best player on the pitch.

You can hear more from Osman on MOTD: Uefa Champions League at 22:40 BST on BBC One and the BBC Sport website and app.

  17. 'As soon as Chelsea sat back they were taken apart'published at 20:55 BST 17 September

    HT: Bayern Munich 2-1 Chelsea

    Pat Nevin
Former Chelsea winger on BBC Radio 5 Live at Allianz Arena

    It's been an entertaining game.

Chelsea came out to have a real go and put a little bit of pressure on. But as soon as they sat back, they were taken apart, particularly on this right hand side.

Olise has been very, very special indeed tonight. There is something special about him.

Lovely finish, just toe pokes it away. Them actually scoring isn't that big of a surprise because since going 2-0 down they've had possession and had one or two openings.
