Lenni Cirino scored on his debut and Armani Little converted two penalties to help Gillingham defeat Chesterfield 4-1 at Priestfield.

Skipper Little netted a spot-kick either side of half-time, the first being awarded when Josh Andrews chased down a loose back pass and collided with goalkeeper Zach Hemming in the 28th minute.

Little stepped up and coolly found the bottom corner to give Gareth Ainsworth's men a half-time lead.

This was doubled four minutes into the second half when Elliott Nevitt was fouled by Ryan Stirk and, once again, Little sent Hemming the wrong way.

The two-goal advantage was short-lived as Armando Dobra did well in a congested penalty area to latch onto Will Grigg's knockback and slip the ball beyond Glenn Morris three minutes later.

The reaction from the hosts was immediate with Cirino, making his first Gills appearance, chasing his own header from a Morris kick before firing an effort home from just inside the penalty area.

Substitute Marcus Wyllie topped it off when he got on the end of Nelson Khumbeni's low cross, finishing from close range to net his first league goal in stoppage time.
