There will be plenty to talk about as Arne Slot meets the media from around 09:00 GMT ahead of Liverpool's Premier League meeting with Wolves.

Seeing the red card at Goodison Park meant that Slot did not do the customary media duties after the 2-2 draw with Everton, so here's what we are expecting to hear from him:

    • Reaction on the Merseyside derby and what it means for the title race.
    • On James Tarkowski's late equaliser and the chaos that ensued, with both sets of players involved in a mass confrontation.
    • On red cards to himself, his assistant Sipke Hulshoff and Curtis Jones.
    • On Vitor Pereira's Wolves, who beat Aston Villa in their most recent league outing.
    • Update on Joe Gomez, who only lasted 11 minutes on his return to action against Plymouth in FA Cup last weekend, and other team news.

First up, Liverpool boss Arne Slot... this could be interesting.

Nemanja Vidic was my all time favourite player. Used to walk around school with United shirts with his name on the back under my uniform. Cantona was my late mum’s favourite player - she said I used to call him dad whenever I saw him on tv in the 90’s. Used to infuriate my City fan supporting dad!

  4. Villa & Man City in Uefa Youth League draw at 12 noonpublished at 08:50 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport's chief football news reporter

The senior Uefa draws do not take place until next week - and we already know which four teams all the English teams can get.

The Uefa Youth League is still drawn match by match.

Aston Villa and Manchester City have reached the last 16 after this week's games.

They can't play each other but there are some tasty ties, with Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Real Madrid all still involved.

The matches are one-off and the quarter-final and semi-final draws will also be drawn.

The matches will be played on 4 or 5 March.

For me, it was Justin Edinburgh, he came from my home town club Southend, went on to win the FA Cup with Spurs (the club all our family has supported since the early 50's and Arthur Rowe's push and run title winners) and when I had my first season ticket at Spurs in the mid 90's he was usually the closest player to me for at least 1 half from row 5 in the old East stand. RIP Justin, a no nonsense left back ❤️

  6. Arteta to answer how Arsenal to deal with striker problemspublished at 08:40 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February

    Alex Howell
BBC football news reporter at Arsenal's training ground

The season ending injury for Kai Havertz is another blow that Mikel Arteta has had to face this season.

The Gunners manager has already had to deal with a long-term injury to Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka picking up a serious hamstring injury and Gabriel Jesus’ season being ended by an anterior cruciate ligament injury.

The injury to Havertz leaves Arsenal without a clear senior central striker and Arteta will be asked in today’s press conference how he is going to deal with that problem.

Forget Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp, my true love was Liam Brady, light years ahead of anyone else at time as glided around the park, going on mazy runs and pinging balls with laser accuracy all over the pitch, and he scores that goal "look at that, o look at that" goal versus Tottenham. Born is the king of Highbury used to fill the stadium and give goosebumps, true Arsenal legend and it was his birthday this week also.

    Kerry DixonImage source, Getty Images

Has to be the legendary Kerry Dixon for me. After a difficult and sometimes baron mid to late 70s, the 80s saw the arrival of John Neal as manager and a welcome period for Chelsea fans which included one of the clubs greatest goalscorers. Very underrated and unfortunate not to be capped more for his country.

  16. Antony scores on European debut for Real Betispublished at 07:55 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February

Antony celebrates scoring for Real Betis against GentImage source, Getty Images

Manchester United loanee Antony scored on his European debut for Real Betis as they put themselves in a commanding position to reach the last 16 of the Conference League with a 3-0 victory over Belgium's Gent.

The winger opened the scoring for the Spanish side with a brilliant low curling strike from the edge of the box.

The 24-year-old Brazil winger was also involved in Betis' second goal, passing to Isco who then set up Cedric Bakambu to fire home from close range.

Sergi Altimira slotted in at the back post to complete the win with six minutes remaining as Manuel Pellegrini's side secured a healthy lead before the return fixture in Seville next week.

Antony opened his league account for Betis on Saturday in a 3-2 defeat at Celta Vigo in only his second game for the club.

He became the second most expensive player in Manchester United's history behind Paul Pogba when he signed from Ajax in August 2022 for £81.3m.

However, his performances have not lived up to expectations and he has scored just once in the Premier League since April 2023.

Luis Suarez. He's that ex who probably wasn't worth all the trouble - the biting, the diving, the biting, the stamping, the biting - but you still think about calling once you've had a few. His goals, his assists, his work ethic... I'm not sure even Salah (with his objectively better record) is more fun to watch.

The first legs of the Europa League knockout play-offs took place on Thursday night as Manchester United, Tottenham and Rangers wait to find out their last-16 opponents.

We know that United and Spurs are paired together so both of them will face either the winner of AZ Alkmaar v Galatasaray or Midtjylland v Real Sociedad. A draw, next Friday, will work out who plays who.

Alkmaar took control of their tie with a 4-1 win, while Sociedad won 2-1 away.

Rangers will face one of Twente or Bodo/Glimt (2-1 on Thursday) or Fenerbahce or Anderlecht (3-0).

Elsewhere, Ajax won 2-0 at Union Saint-Gilloise and Porto and Roma shared a 1-1 draw.
