    Newcastle 0-0 Barcelona

Newcastle keeper Nick Pope punches half of the ball and half of Robert Lewandowski's head as he deals with a cross. No foul. Was more ball than head really.

Lewandowski checks that there is no damage - to his head, not the ball - before play continues.

    Sporting 0-0 Kairat Almaty

Over in Lisbon heavy favourites Sporting are dominating against Champions League debutants Kairat Almaty.

But the Portuguese champions, for all their possession and territory, are yet to carve a genuine, proper, really good chance.

    That's close!

Sam Beukema gets up to meet the corner and Gianluigi Donnarumma does ever so well to keep out the header.

A warning sign for Manchester City.

Now a first corner for Napoli. Scott McTominay is lurking inside the box.
