  1. Postpublished at 20:52 British Summer Time 8 April

    Bristol City 0-0 West Brom

Robins fans have clearly become aware of Josh Griffiths' connection to Bristol Rovers at the break as he's getting booed with every touch since the turnaround.

In a poor Gas season he's among the front-runners for the Rovers player of the year accolades after 30 league appearances before being recalled by Albion.

A clean sheet tonight would do his cause no harm at the Mem, you'd have thought...

  2. Postpublished at 20:50 British Summer Time 8 April

    Watford 0-0 Hull City

The Hornets nearly scored in the first minute of the first half and now they've nearly scored in the first minute of the second half.

Jeremy Ngakia drills a low shot wide of the post as the home side look for the opener.

  3. Postpublished at 20:50 British Summer Time 8 April

    Derby 0-0 Burnley

The second-half has began as the first ended, with Derby on the front foot.

A long ball from Zetterstrom finds the evergreen Craig Forsyth who wins his side a corner which is punched away by James Trafford.

  4. 'Really strong performance'published at 20:49 British Summer Time 8 April

    HT: Middlesbrough 0-1 Leeds

    Adam Pope
    BBC Radio Leeds commentator

I think it was a really strong performance.

There are obviously elements that you would want to improve on.

The second goal being disallowed is a shame.

  5. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:48 British Summer Time 8 April

    Norwich 0-0 Sunderland

Norwich have made a change at the break with Emi Marcondes coming on to replace Oscar Schwartau for the second half.

Will he help them break the deadlock in a game they have bossed for much of the opening 45 minutes?

  6. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:46 British Summer Time 8 April

    Middlesbrough 0-1 Leeds

Leeds have the lead at the break and, as it stands, they're back to the top of the Championship table.

Dan James scored from close range inside two minutes for the rapid starting Whites and Ao Tanaka has wrongly had a goal ruled out for offside for the visitors in an impressive 45 minutes.

Play-off chasing Boro have had their moments but they'll need more of them after the break if they're to get anything from this.

  7. KICK-OFFpublished at 20:46 British Summer Time 8 April

While Boro and Leeds prepare to head off for their orange segments we're getting back under way in our eight early kick-offs.

A few managers will be wanting to see a response in the second half... let's see if their words of wisdom have worked!

HT: Stoke City 0-0 Luton Town

This game better get better in the second half - or we will be posting a record low word count for a BBC Sport Online football report.

Sam Gallagher's header, which Luton keeper Thomas Kaminski could have saved in his sleep and then Theo Aasgaard's volley just over at the other end. And that's all folks!

It's understandably tense, given what's at stake. But it surely has to improve.

The Stoke sprinklers have been on at half-time. Hopefully that will slick things up a bit?

  9. Wednesday's Championship fixturespublished at 20:44 British Summer Time 8 April

All games kick-off at 19:45 BST unless stated

If you're enjoying floodlit Championship football then the good news is you don't have long to wait for your next fix...

We'll be back here tomorrow night for the remaining three fixtures in this final midweek programme of the season, and how big could some of these fixtures be?

    • Oxford United v QPR
    • Swansea v Plymouth
    • Coventry v Portsmouth (20:00)
  10. Postpublished at 20:43 British Summer Time 8 April

    Middlesbrough 0-1 Leeds

Just one win in their past six before tonight for Leeds.

They've been good money for their lead in this one though, and should be 2-0 up but for an incorrect offside against Ao Tanaka.

If this stays as it is and the scores in Sheffield United and Burnley's games don't change then the Whites will end the day top of the table.

  11. 'Leeds have a way of sucking you in'published at 20:40 British Summer Time 8 April

    Middlesbrough 0-1 Leeds

    Neil Maddison
Former Middlesbrough midfielder on BBC Tees

Leeds have a way of sucking you in and then pop the ball in behind with their pace, especially Dan James.

Leeds had a good start early on and that disallowed goal has gone in our favour.

  12. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:37 British Summer Time 8 April

    Preston 1-0 Cardiff City

A disappointing 45 minutes for the Bluebirds who trail to Preston at Deepdale.

North End lead thanks to Milutin Osmajic, who fired the ball at a tight angle low past Ethan Horvath into the Cardiff goal following some weak defending from the visitors.

Cardiff boss Omer Riza has attacking options on the bench and, if it remains the same, it is likely it won't be long before we see the introduction of either Callum Robinson, Ollie Tanner or Yakou Meite.

  13. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:36 British Summer Time 8 April

    Stoke City 0-0 Luton Town

The referee blows his whistle and we're all square at the Bet365 Stadium.

Few chances to tell you about in truth. One significant bit of news for the visitors is Alfie Doughty has been forced off with what appeared to be a dead leg following a clash in midfield and has had to be replaced by Millenic Alli.

Let's hope for more action in the second-half.

  14. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:35 British Summer Time 8 April

    Norwich 0-0 Sunderland

There have been an average of 3.6 goals per game in Norwich City home games this season, so of course it's 0-0 at half-time.

Sunderland need just a point to secure their play-off place but have lived very dangerously with Anthony Patterson denying Borja Sainz, Josh Sargent and Jacob Wright while Anis Slimane sent a header into the outside of the post for the hosts, who want to stay in the play-off hunt with a win.

  15. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:35 British Summer Time 8 April

    Blackburn 0-2 Sheff Wed

Ailing Blackburn well on their way to a sixth successive defeat as their miserable end to the season continues.

Yan Valery gave the Owls an early lead and Djeidi Gassama doubled their money.

Rovers had their chances at 0-0 but have offered nothing since falling behind.

  16. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 20:34 British Summer Time 8 April

    Middlesbrough 0-1 Leeds

Ao Tanaka has the ball in the net for Leeds but no dice, the flag is up.

Replays show the Japan international isn't off.

No VAR in the Championship of course. No goal.

  17. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:33 British Summer Time 8 April

    Sheff Utd 0-1 Millwall

Josh Coburn's thunderous finish on 21 minutes separates the sides at the break.

The hosts have come close through Rhian Brewster and Ben Brereton-Diaz, who saw a glancing header instinctively saved by Lukas Jensen, but they will need to do more if they are to turn this one around after the break.

Big 15 minutes for Chris Wilder, whose side are out of the automatic promotion places as things stand.

  18. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:33 British Summer Time 8 April

    Derby 0-0 Burnley

Referee Bobby Madley blows the whistle for half-time and this one remains goalless at the break.

The home fans are full of applause for their sides efforts and quite rightly so, they have more than matched the table toppers.

Jerry Yates came closest to opening the scoring for either side but his effort from point blank range was superbly kept out by Burnley keeper James Trafford who came flying out of his goal to deny him.

Big 15 minutes ahead for Scott Parker, whose side have looked weary at times.

  19. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:32 British Summer Time 8 April

    Watford 0-0 Hull City

Nothing doing in this one so far.

Edo Kayemebe came close to opening the scoring for the home side in the opening minute but saw his shot cannon back off the crossbar.

You feel like one goal will likely be enough in this one but who is going to get it?

  20. 'Desperate defending for Burnley'published at 20:32 British Summer Time 8 April

    Derby 0-0 Burnley

    Adam Cottier
BBC Radio Lancashire at Turf Moor

Desperate defending for Burnley at the moment, it feels like the end of the game, not the end of the half.
