Pains me to say it as a City supporter, but Tim (19:51) is bang on the money

  4. CLOSE!published at 19:55 Greenwich Mean Time 14 January

    Brentford 0-0 Man City

Eeeeesh, that's what Erling Haaland has been missing! Kevin de Bruyne whips in an early cross with his left foot, it's a beauty that takes out the Brentford defence and finds Haaland back stick, he's stretching to get there and heads into the side-netting.

But that was much better from the champions.

Chelsea look so dangerous when they approach the 18 yard box. Noni Madueke on one side, the exceptional Jadon Sancho on the other, Nicolas Jackson occupying the defenders in the middle, Cole Palmer buzzing around. They are a joy to watch at times.

  8. 'Hill limping slightly'published at 19:53 Greenwich Mean Time 14 January

    Chelsea 1-0 Bournemouth

    Glenn Murray
Former Brighton striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

James Hill was limping slightly when he tried to get out to Jadon Sancho. He has picked up a knock, not sure what, looks muscular. And he walks down the touchline shaking his head.

Jukebox Jack: Liverpool in a strange place at the minute because in pre-season no fans could have dreamt we'd be in this position, but now halfway through almost every fan would be disappointed not to win it. A win over one of our nearest challengers would calm some nerves!

  10. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 19:53 Greenwich Mean Time 14 January

    Chelsea 1-0 Bournemouth

Here's that change as the injured James Hill makes way for Justin Kluivert.

  11. Postpublished at 19:52 Greenwich Mean Time 14 January

Anyone who fooled themselves into thinking ‘City are back’, the first half here is concrete evidence they are absolutely not. Slow passive rubbish so far. Brentford taking them apart.

  13. CLOSE!published at 19:51 Greenwich Mean Time 14 January

    Brentford 0-0 Man City

It's coming. Another slick attack sends Yoane Wissa up against last man Manuel Akanji, Wissa is able to twist enough to find room for a shot and he plants it wide. Tight angle, good effort.

  14. Postpublished at 19:51 Greenwich Mean Time 14 January

    West Ham 0-0 Fulham

Harry Wilson backheels to Emile Smith Rowe, who strikes it first time only to see his shot headed behind for a corner by Maximilian Kilman.

From the resulting corner, Smith Rowe is presented with another chance, but this time he can't keep his strike down from the edge of the box.

  15. Postpublished at 19:50 Greenwich Mean Time 14 January

Dare I say it but this Manchester City team look easy to play against. Brentford are moving the ball through them pretty much at will at the moment.

  18. 'Forest can get top four'published at 19:48 Greenwich Mean Time 14 January

Nottingham Forest v Liverpool (20:00 GMT)

    Clinton Morrison
Former Republic of Ireland striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

I still think it is going to be difficult for Nottingham Forest. Their squad is not bad but if you were to lose someone like Gibbs-White or Wood, who is going to deliver for them?

I definitely think they can get top four this season. They don't have the ball but they don't care because they counter-attack.

That's why I credit Nuno because he got a lot of stick playing that way at Tottenham but it works with this set of players.

  19. Postpublished at 19:47 Greenwich Mean Time 14 January

    Chelsea 1-0 Bournemouth

Cole Palmer is now up to 14 Premier League goals. Only Erling Haaland with 16 and Mohamed Salah with 18 have more. Another incredible season for the Chelsea man.

Fulham have enjoyed more than 60% of the possession so far.

When they do win the ball back from the visitors, West Ham can't seem to get out of their half.
