I'm not sure Fulham deserved the victory but they stuck in there. The substitutions made the difference with Tom Cairney and Harry Wilson, one being an aerial header on the edge of the six-yard area, and the other being a lovely left-footed ranger from 25 yards made all the difference.

Brentford were really good in the first half, they offered lot, Bryan Mbuemo was excellent right across the front line.

We've seen a really promising game with two sides with something to play for.

Anthony Gordon is full of tricks and flicks - and he's starting to impose his influence on this game.

Arsenal fans are showing signs of frustration. A corner for the home side was taken short but went wrong sparking moans from the stands.

Sho: If Isak was playing Newcastle would be at least two up by now, so clearly the better team.

West Ham boss Graham Potter speaking to BBC MOTD: "We started the game well. Had a good chance with Tomas [Soucek] and Vlad [Coufal] we're competing against a good team competing for the Champions League. It was an even game, we concede the early goal from a mistake which is disappointing then we made changes and they scored straight after. Marginal offside that took a while to sort out. Credit to the players they kept pushing, they gave everything we just came up a bit short.

"Forest going for what they are and we wanted three points and it was a bit stop start. The goal makes it difficult for the referee and it was stop-start.

"They scored after the subs but then we pushed and pushed, scored a good goal and had other opportunities but fell short."

Frustrating day overall? "It is when you want to finish with a win at the last home game of the season with some players making their last appearance you want to go out in a positive. We have to lick our wounds and go again next week.

"We focus on Ipswich first because we have another week and we ant to finish with three points. We use the summer to try to improve it's as simple as that."

Seven of Newcastle's 10 outfield starters have had an attempt on goal with the only players yet to being Callum Wilson, Anthony Gordon and Jacob Murphy. Don't think you'd have guessed those three.

Gabriel Martinelli knocks the ball on from the halfway line and almost has 50 yards to run into but Nick Pope races far out of his box and just beats the Arsenal man to the ball to get it away.

Declan Rice tries to make something happen for Arsenal by shooting from about 30 yards out. It's not the best effort in the world and just bounces into the gloves of Nick Pope.

It's all over and what a three points they are for Fulham!

They've kept their top eight hopes alive with a second half turnaround.

Anthony Gordon makes the run behind Ben White. Callum Wilson doesn't time his run right and it's another chance that goes begging for Newcastle.

Bernd Leno was taking as long as it needed to get a yellow card.

Newcastle winger Anthony Gordon runs onto a long bouncing ball down to the byeline and hooks it across the six-yard box but there's nobody in there to tap home.

Sepp van den Berg wins the header from the throw and out it goes for a goal kick.

Surely this is it?

Bryan Mbeumo's corner is headed clear and Brentford now have the chance to launch a long throw into the box.

Dan Burn slides to block the shot. He doesn't actually contact Ben White. Good defending by Newcastle and better by Arsenal.

Mikkel Damsgaard puts in an overhit cross but Bernd Leno opts to claw it behind for a corner.

Maybe could have let that one go.

Nottingham Forest forward Morgan Gibbs-White speaking to Sky Sports: "Main objective today was to start game aggressive, start strong and go for it. Two games left and we knew we had to win this game. Nice to take the lead and then the second settled the game. We left it a bit nervy for ourselves towards the end. More of an emotional one for us with Taiwo [Awoniyi] but he's on a good recovery so that was for him.

"The whole week has been tough on everyone. Wednesday was our first day back in [after Awoniyi incident] and the place was pretty lifeless, everyone was praying and wishing him well. He's come round on a good path, we're all wishing him well and that win today was for him.

"Today was the perfect example of how together our team is. We all come together and knew we had to do this today. The boys showed incredible resilience. We've been good at taking the lead and seeing it out this season, bit nervy towards the end and a few arguments but the boys rode the storm. Delighted with the three points and we go again next week."

On VAR delay: "It's not nice. Stopping for six minutes when the game's flowing and you're in a good moment. We have no control over it. That's for the referees and VAR it's on them. I don't know what happened, I haven't seen it back. All we can take today is we got three points as a team."

On Champions League push: "Chelsea incredible team in good form so we'll have to go back to the drawing board this week and focus on how we want to win that game. It's a do or die moment, one last push and we have to give it everything - the fans, the staff and us. We'll be going in wanting three points."

On how to beat Chelsea: "Everyone being together but I have no doubt about that. Fighting for each other and fighting for what we want. We want Champions League and we'll do our best to put on a good performance and get the three points."

Arsenal defender Ben White goes on a jinking run into the Newcastle box and goes down looking for a penalty. Nope.

Two and a half minutes left for Fulham to hold on to these brilliant three points.
