Sometimes it is embarrassing being a Spurs fan and today is no different. Not because of the players, or Ange, but the fans who week on week are the most pessimistic people ever. They want a rebuild but don't have the patience, they want exciting football but not the risk that comes with it. The unrealistic demands will soon get to Ange and he will be kicked out and have success elsewhere like all other managers that pass through our club. That is the true definition of Spursy.

Brentford v Newcastle (Sat, 15:00 GMT)

    Newcastle United

Newcastle boss Eddie Howe on a post-Liverpool comedown: "After any game, there's a comedown. But I think it will be a steep one after the Liverpool game.

"And I think our challenge this weekend is to find a way to hit the same levels of intensity and mental qualities that we showed on Wednesday, so quickly."

  3. 'Tired bodies' at Newcastlepublished at 09:42 Greenwich Mean Time 6 December

Brentford v Newcastle (Sat, 15:00 GMT)

    Newcastle United

Newcastle boss Eddie Howe on team news: "There were some tired bodies in the team.

"Anthony Gordon was fatigued at the end of his performance, which was very, very good, and naturally when you empty like that and give so much to the game, there's going to be a hit.

"I thought Alex [Isak] worked extremely hard and he was tired at the end. But our job is to refuel the group and go again on what is another great opportunity for us."

    Fulham 3-1 Brighton

    • Fulham are unbeaten in all nine of their Premier League games against Brighton, the most they’ve ever faced an opponent without ever losing in the competition.
    • Brighton have failed to win any of their last 10 Premier League games in London, their longest such run in the competition, and their longest in any league since 1967.
    • Lewis Dunk made his 250th Premier League start, the first Brighton player to reach this milestone.

The common denominator in terms of the shortcomings at Spurs is the ownership and the players. Something bigger has to change, starting with more ambitious signings and in turn more focus on footballing success. We’ve been on the slide since the Champions League final because we have pinned our hopes on signings from teams lower down the table rather than invest in players who know what it means to win.

  7. Iwobi's stats this seasonpublished at 09:30 Greenwich Mean Time 6 December

Alex Iwobi has been a star for Fulham this season. The 28-year-old moved to Fulham last season from Everton but it is only now he is really hitting the peak of his powers at the London club.

The midfielder has played 16 games for Fulham this campaign across all competitions. In those matches he has scored five goals and made three assists.

In the Premier League specifically, he has played all 14 games and scored 5 goals. He has created five big chances, made 41 crosses and has blocked seven shots.

  8. 'Hurzeler will be quite happy with his team's performance'published at 09:27 Greenwich Mean Time 6 December

    Fulham 3-1 Brighton

    Glenn Murray
Former Brighton striker on 5 Live Breakfast

It wasn't an ideal start but you've got to give credit to Fulham, they pressed well, that was one of their tactics going into the game and they got the rewards early doors.

Due to the weather, it wasn't very nice at Craven Cottage, Fulham walk away with three points and rightly so but I think if you zoom out and take the emotion out of the fixture, Fabian Hurzeler will be quite happy with his team's performance. If they can keep putting those performances in, the results will keep coming.

I think both clubs, after the evening, sitting fifth and sixth in the Premier League early December. They'll both be relatively happy.

I said it when Levy appointed Ange, we would win nothing under him. Once again Levy going for a second rate manager. So what if he won in Scotland. Levy is the problem at Tottenham. Started watching last night but turned off. Shocking performance by Spurs.

Phil, Spurs fan for nearly 60 years

Spurs have invested in the most expensive stadium ever but the team is severely lacking class, direction and a decent manager. I hope it long continues.

  10. Who's next for Fulham?published at 09:20 Greenwich Mean Time 6 December

Fulham's opponent next up is tricky as they have London rivals Arsenal, who currently sit in third. They are six points ahead of Fulham.

However, with Fulham's current form and Alex Iwobi in particular shining at the moment, it wouldn't be a huge upset if they were to win.

Fulham also have a slight inside man as Emile Smith Rowe will be playing his former side. The 24-year-old came through the academy at the Gunners. He moved to Fulham in the 2024 summer transfer window.

  11. Fulham's formpublished at 09:17 Greenwich Mean Time 6 December

    Fulham 3-1 Brighton

Fulham's recent form has been impressive, aside from their 4-1 loss to Wolves in November.

The Wolves defeat is their only loss in the past five Premier League matches.

They beat Brighton, Brentford and Crystal Palace, while also drawing to Tottenham.

  12. Fulham climb to sixthpublished at 09:14 Greenwich Mean Time 6 December

    Fulham 3-1 Brighton

Fulham's impressive win over Brighton means they are now sixth in the Premier League. They have 22 points after winning six of their 14 matches this season.

They are 13 points off leaders Liverpool and just four points outside the top four.

Last campaign they finished 13th with a haul of 47 points with 13 wins. They are on heir way to beating that form by a long way.

I think he’s out of ideas. Clearly, he’s out of ideas. Just look at our last five games, the results speak volumes. It’s all good being able to play attractive attacking football, but it matters not when we can’t at least look like the same team in consecutive games. We are lost without Van de Ven, Romero, and Vicario, but what is Ange doing about it? Davies, Dragusin, and Forster are perfectly capable players but their problem is that Ange sets us up to concede. A great mind for attacking football, he has. But defensively we are all over the place.

    Otis

I'm largely positive about Ange, he's building something and there has been a step up this season until the injuries hit. Last night was awful, but our fans are historically fickle. The team and Ange need support.

When we beat Arsenal the coverage was all about Arsenal being out of the title race. We beat City and it was all about Pep's problems and today it's all about the problems facing Spurs. I know we aren't a 'big team' but perhaps Bournemouth need a bit more praise for their improvement and how we deserved to win all three of the games.

  16. Poll: Were Spurs fans right to boo and shout abuse at Postecoglou?published at 09:00 Greenwich Mean Time 6 December

We're getting your views on the Spurs fans' reaction to Ange Postecoglou last night at Bournemouth, where the manager confronted some fans over what they were shouting at him.

Are the fans entitled to air their views? Should they be more respectful of the manager? Or should they boo, but hold off anything stronger?

Let us know your thoughts with the above poll, and we'll reveal the results later today.

Spurs fans have for far too long prioritised being entertained over winning. Result? 16+ years since they won anything.

    FT: Bournemouth 1-0 Tottenham

    Tony Pulis
Former Bournemouth manager on BBC Radio 5 Live Extra

Bournemouth do what they do. Every week they drop deep, defend deep and throw their bodies in front of the ball to stop it going in the net. Then when they get the ball, one set up and they are off. They have such good legs in the team and get up and down the pitch for 90+ minutes per week.
