  1. CLOSE!published at 19:55 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March

    Norwich 0-0 Sheff Wed

Now it's the Owls' turn to threaten as a long throw from Svante Ingelsson finds its way to Shea Charles but the on-loan Southampton man can only head inches over Vicente Reyes' crossbar.

  2. Postpublished at 19:55 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March

    Derby 0-0 Coventry

Milan van Ewijk goes on the overlap on the right for Coventry and Tatsuhiro Sakamoto slides him in at the byeline.

Van Ewijk's cross is low and hard but Jacob Zetterstrom gets down well in the Derby goal to intercept and it goes behind for a corner.

Derby are then able to deal well with the set-piece.

  3. CLOSE!published at 19:55 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March

    Middlesbrough 0-0 QPR

    Middlesbrough go close again.

Samuel Iling-Junior has a pop from the left but he sees his strike go narrowly past the post.

  4. Postpublished at 19:53 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March

    Burnley 0-0 West Brom

Perhaps understandably a low-key start at Turf Moor with plenty at stake for both side.

Tony Mowbray called this game a 'free hit' for his squad and they are passing it around, in midfield admittedly, with a bit of vim and vigour at least.

James Trafford's goal is a long way away, however...

  5. Postpublished at 19:51 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March

    Middlesbrough 0-0 QPR

A good start from the home side who carve out an early chance.

Tommy Conway puts the ball in across the face of goal but no red shirt can get on the end of it. It eventually falls to Hayden Hackney who has a go at goal but puts it narrowly wide.

  6. Postpublished at 19:51 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March

    Derby 0-0 Coventry

Derby win a throw-in deep inside the Coventry half on the left and it's launched long by Callum Elder.

The visitors deal with it but it comes back out to Elder. He gets a second bite of the cherry with a cross into the box but that too is cleared by Coventry.

  7. Postpublished at 19:50 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March

    Norwich 0-0 Sheff Wed

Early sight of goal for the hosts as Emi Marcondes is played in on the right of the area but Wednesday keeper James Beadle is off his line quickly to thwart him.

  8. Postpublished at 19:49 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March

    Derby 0-0 Coventry

Coventry are the form team and they're looking to assert their authority early doors. The Sky Blues have seen most of the ball in the opening stages.

A reminder it's nine wins from 10 coming into this for Frank Lampard's fifth-placed side.

  9. Postpublished at 19:46 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March

    Derby 0-0 Coventry

A fast start by Coventry as they go straight on the attack and launch a ball into the box but Derby centre-back Matt Clarke is able to intervene in the air before Jacob Zetterstrom comes out of his goal to collect.

  10. KICK-OFFpublished at 19:45 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March

Off we go in six games on a big, big night in the Championship at both ends of the table.

The small matter of title-chasing Sheffield United and play-off hopefuls Bristol City also starting in 15 minutes.

Omer Riza has made four changes to the Cardiff side which went down 2-1 at Sunderland on Saturday.

Aaron Ramsey comes in to captain the side and Will Fish, Alex Robertson and Will Alves are handed a start.

Joel Bagan, Sivert Mannsverk, Callum Robinson and Isaak Davies all drop to the bench.

Luton boss Matt Bloomfield has made two switches from the side which lost at Burnley, one of them enforced.

Kai Naismith is suspended after his red card at Turf Moor while Zack Nelson drops to the bench with Mark McGuinness restored to the line-up and Carlton Morris back to skipper the side.

Some people in football will tell you there’s no such thing as a six-pointer... well those people might want to take a look at Luton’s game at Cardiff this evening.

After one win in 14 the Hatters are second-bottom, five points adrift of safety after going down 4-0 at Burnley on Saturday while the Bluebirds are two places and five points ahead, above the dotted line in 21st, but with only one win in their past seven themselves.

"It's a must-win game," said Cardiff boss Omer Riza.

"It's a massive game, they're in trouble, we're in trouble and we need to get three points, there's no other option."

One good omen for Town boss Matt Bloomfield is Luton have won each of their past four league games against Cardiff, three of which have come via a 1-0 score line.

Middlesbrough make four changes after their disappointing loss to Swansea at the weekend.

Samuel Iling-Junior, Jonny Howson, Kelechi Iheanacho, and Delano Burgzorg, come in for the home side.

Morgan Whittaker, Marcus Forss, Dael Fry, and Ryan Giles all miss out.

  16. Can Boro rekindle play-off charge?published at 19:31 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March

    Middlesbrough v QPR (19:45 GMT)

Middlesbrough's form of late has been hit with inconsistencies, winning just two of their past eight league games (L6), leaving them ninth and five points adrift of the play-offs.

Michael Carrick's side will look to bounce back following a 1-0 defeat by Swansea at the weekend and a victory could see them move within two points of sixth-placed West Brom, who face a tough test at Burnley.

QPR have suffered three straight defeats leaving them in 14th - their most recent win was a 4-0 demolition of Derby almost a month ago.

Marti Cifuentes' side are 11 points outside the play-offs but are in no danger of the drop, with a 12-point safety net.

When these two sides met in November, the Hoops suffered a 4-1 defeat - they will hope to avoid a similar scenario this evening.

  17. Three changes for Sunderland & Prestonpublished at 19:29 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March

Sunderland make three changes to the side after their 2-1 victory against Cardiff at the weekend.

Dennis Cirkin, Tom Watson, and Wilson Isidior come in for Alan Browne, Romaine Mundle, and Leo Hjelde.

As for Preston, Andrew Hughes, Jayden Meghoma, and captain Ryan Ledson come in following their weekend defeat to Sheffield United.

Liam Lindsay, Will Keane, and Robert Brady drop to the bench.

Sunderland start the night in fourth place, 12 points clear of Coventry, but are struggling to keep in touch with the automatic promotion spots, sitting eight points behind Sheffield United and Leeds United.

Since their disappointing defeat by Hull City at the Stadium of Light, the Black Cats have won their past two games.

Regis Le Bris' side were held to a goalless draw against tonight's opposition in November.

Preston start the night in 16th but are 11 points clear of the drop-zone.

Despite their excellent 3-0 victory over Burnley in the FA Cup, the Lilywhites have failed to win any of their past five Championship fixtures (D3 L2), with their most recent against Norwich a month ago today.

In his managerial career, Paul Heckingbottom has never lost a league fixture to Sunderland. Will that change tonight?

Johannes Hoff Thorup has made three changes to the Norwich XI which was held at home by Oxford United on Friday night.

Shane Duffy returns after missing that game for disciplinary reasons after being late to a meeting while Emi Marcondes and Kenny McLean are also back.

Josh Sargent starts on the bench along with Jack Stacey and Jacob Sorensen while Vicente Reyes makes his second Canaries start in goal, with Angus Gunn and George Long sidelined.

Danny Rohl has made two changes to his Sheffield Wednesday side after the 3-0 win at Plymouth on Saturday.

Pol Valentin and Marvin Johnson come in, with Dominic Iorfa and Ryo Hatsuse dropping to the bench.

Into the final 10 games of the season and if Norwich and Sheffield Wednesday have hopes of gate-crashing the Championship play-offs, there's no better time to start than tonight.

The Canaries are six points off the pace after a four-game unbeaten run which has included three draws.

Wednesday snapped a three-game losing streak with a 3-0 win at Plymouth on Saturday and are seven points behind sixth-placed West Brom in a tightly congested field.

City had taken 14 points from six games against the Owls before going down 2-0 at Hillsborough on Bonfire Night, giving Danny Rohl’s side the chance to complete their first double over their rivals in 16 years.

That win in April 2009 was also Wednesday’s last at Carrow Road, the visitors taking just two points from their six visits since then.

They do however shine brightest under the floodlights – the Owls have lost just one of their past 11 midweek games, taking 20 points from that run and eight from their past four on the road.
