Since the second Liverpool goal, Everton have played themselves into the game. They've had a good start to this second half and I think that's a deserved goal.

    Liverpool 2-1 Everton

    Stephen Warnock

It's a brilliant finish from Idrissa Gana Gueye.

Nobody was picking up Gueye and Liverpool will be so annoyed at that.

Everton fans feel like they are back in the game.

    Liverpool 2-1 Everton

    Ally McCoist
Former Rangers striker on TNT Sports

What a beautiful goal. We've been treated to three classics. Didn't Grealish do well on the left hand side? He puts a brilliant ball across, it's well laid back by Ndiaye and then the finish from Gueye. I don't think any keeper is getting anywhere near that.

GOAL - Liverpool 2-1 Evertonpublished at 58 mins

    Idrissa Gueye

    Game on!

A superb finish from Idrissa Gueye as he lashes the ball across Alisson and into the far left corner.

Iliman Ndiaye has to take a bit of credit for cutting Jack Grealish's pass back to Gueye rather than going for goal himself.

That would have been a lovely team goal, but Mo Salah - after a superb touch to cut back - can't get enough power on his strike to beat Jordan Pickford.

Not a good ball from Salah. You can see what he is trying to do with that ball towards the far post, but that was not his best. I suppose if there is anyone we can cut a bit of slack though it's him.

    Liverpool 2-0 Everton

    Stephen Warnock
Former Liverpool and Aston Villa defender on BBC Radio 5 Live at Anfield

Liverpool are really poor off the ball at the moment, turning over possession.

There's a lack of concentration in their passing.

  19. Postpublished at 54 mins

    Liverpool 2-0 Everton

Liverpool finally work themselves up the pitch and start fizzing the ball around the Everton box, but it all comes to an end as Mohamed Salah's ball to the back post trickles out.
