  1. 'Another great Liverpool goal'published at 13:01 BST

    Liverpool 2-0 Everton

    Ally McCoist
Former Rangers striker on TNT Sports

It is a great goal. The pass from Gravenberch, weighted it perfectly and the finish from Ekitike through the keeper's legs. It's a great, low finish. Another great Liverpool goal.

    Hugo Ekitike

Hugo Ekitike takes a bow in front of the Liverpool fans.

A fine, slotted finish after receiving Ryan Gravenberch's pass on the half-turn to double the Reds lead.

That's the Frenchman's third Premier League goal this season.

  3. 'Brilliant move'published at 12:58 BST

    Liverpool 1-0 Everton

    Ally McCoist
Former Rangers striker on TNT Sports

Terrific play from Grealish and normally Dewsbury-Hall goes for the far side of the goal across the keeper, but he tries to clip it into the near side top corner. Brilliant move.

Terry, Hvar: Like Dan (12:39), sat in the sun in Hvar....couldn't connect and then did....wish I hadn't bothered...come on Everton, dont spoil this holiday

  5. CLOSE!published at 12:58 BST

    Liverpool 1-0 Everton

Jack Grealish turns brilliantly to get away from Ryan Gravenberch and then plays a sneaky ball in behind for Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, who slams it over the bar.

    A big chance that.

With Liverpool this season and their leaky defence you have got to think they have to take advantage of this fast start and score a couple more.

  7. 'Not the easiest one for Gakpo'published at 12:56 BST

    Liverpool 1-0 Everton

    Ally McCoist
Former Rangers striker on TNT Sports

It's not the easiest one to take for Gakpo, but he didn't meet it at all well. There is no one putting him under pressure either. That is a big, big chance.

    Groans around Anfield.

Liverpool break forward rapidly and the chance pops up for Cody Gakpo but he volleys the ball into the ground and it bounces over the Everton goal. That was a decent chance there for Liverpool to double their lead.

I'm going to be slightly critical. I think there is too much on the pass from Gueye to Beto. That was a chance for Everton.

  10. Postpublished at 22 mins

    Liverpool 1-0 Everton

Idrissa Gueye fizzes a ball in behind for Beto run onto, but Ibrahima Konate gets there first and drives the ball out for a corner.

It comes to nothing for the Toffees.

Scoring goals and taking the lead is not a problem for this Liverpool side, holding on to it is.

Alexis Mac Allister has a go, then Conor Bradley. Both shots are blocked.

Liverpool are giving Everton absolutely no breathing space here.

Is there a more improved player in world football than Ryan Gravernberch over the last 18 months?

Everton have not been allowed to get going. Liverpool just came flying out of the traps as you expect them to do.

A great challenge from James Garner, who stops Hugo Ekitike from surging into the box with an excellently timed sliding tackle from behind.

Salah knows exactly what he wants to do there. Keane can't get tight to him and it's close, very close to the top corner.

That wasn't far off. A trademark Mohamed Salah move there as he cuts in before trying to curl into the top left corner.

He no longer plays for the Reds but that late winner he scored in the derby at Anfield in 2018 is always going to haunt fans of the Blues.
