    Cardiff xG

A picture (graphic) tells 1,000 words.

Cardiff had four shots in the first half that amounted to 0.1 expected goals.

The away side were marginally better, with their four attempts adding up to 0.13.

  2. 20th first-half blankpublished at 13:30 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February

    HT: Preston 0-0 Burnley

So for the 20th time in their 33 Championship matches, Burnley have drawn a first-half blank.

Fans of Leeds, Sunderland and Sheffield United won't mind at all if that stretches out for another 45 minutes.

  4. Postpublished at 13:28 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February

    Oxford 0-0 Portsmouth

Oxford's Cameron Brannagan finds some space for a shot but his effort is blocked well by Pompey's Connor Ogilvie.

Just before that, Przemyslaw Placheta chased down a ball over the top for the hosts but the away goalkeeper Nicolas Schmid was alert to clear the danger.

There's still around 15 minutes to go in the first half after play was halted for around 30 minutes due to a medical emergency in the home crowd.

  5. Postpublished at 13:27 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February

    HT: Preston 0-0 Burnley

Burnley haven't conceded a league goal in 56 days now.

In match time, it's getting on for 1,000 minutes.

    Mind-boggling.

  6. 'An even first half'published at 13:22 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February

    HT: Preston 0-0 Burnley

    Steve Eyre
Former Manchester City coach on BBC Radio Lancashire

It's been an even first half for me.

North End have been ok with Burnley not showing much apart from the last kick of the half.

    Deadlock.

  7. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:20 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February

    Preston 0-0 Burnley

Burnley go in level, but they should be ahead after that miss from Lyle Foster right at the end.

In a cagey game like this, there won't be too many chances better than that.

Goalless at half-time. Thumbs up if that's what we expected!

  8. Postpublished at 13:18 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February

    Preston 0-0 Burnley

    What a miss!

The last action of the half produces the best chance of the game by a million miles.

Hannibal Mejbri with the back heel, Zian Flemming puts the ball into the path of Lyle Foster, unmarked in the box 12 yards out.

Must score, but no. The South Africa forward produces a finish more apt for the Six Nations or Super League as leaning back, he clears the crossbar with ease.

  9. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:17 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February

    Cardiff 0-0 Bristol City

Not a huge amount going on in this one so far.

The home side have just shaded it but they'll need to up it if they're to take three points that would move then five clear of the relegation zone.

  10. INJURY TIMEpublished at 13:16 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February

    Cardiff 0-0 Bristol City

Mark Sykes has a dip from range for the visiting team but Jak Alnwick is equal to it.

We're into one minute of time added on.

  11. Play resumes as fan taken to hospitalpublished at 13:16 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February

    Oxford 0-0 Portsmouth

Oxford United have posted on the club's X account to confirm that the fan is breathing and will be taken to hospital for further medical care.

Our best wishes go to them.

Warm-ups are complete and we are back under way.

  12. YELLOW CARDpublished at 13:14 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February

    Cardiff 0-0 Bristol City

Defender Dimitrios Goutas is booked for the home side for a clumsy foul on Sinclair Armstrong on the halfway line.

    Two booking apiece now.

  13. 'Alves rated highly'published at 13:14 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February

    Cardiff 0-0 Bristol City

    Dafydd Pritchard
BBC Sport Wales at Cardiff City Stadium

It's been a quiet first half from both teams but, from the brief moments he's been on the ball, you can see why Leicester rate Will Alves so highly.

The 19-year-old midfielder joined Cardiff on loan in January and is making his first league start today.

He's quick, skilful and willing to take a risk, be that with a pass or an attempt to take on a defender.

  14. 'A level tight game'published at 13:13 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February

    Preston 0-0 Burnley

    Steve Eyre
Former Manchester City coach on BBC Radio Lancashire

There's very little in this. It's a level tight game.

It's well contested on not a tricky pitch for this time of year.

Preston have dealt with Zian Flemming well.

  15. GREAT SAVE!published at 13:11 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February

    Preston 0-0 Burnley

The headline is maybe not an accurate reflection, but we have a decent save from Preston's Freddie Woodman.

Connor Roberts with the effort - a cross between a shot and a ball into a dangerous area, which Woodman parries away from danger.

But Gareth Southgate's godson would have been disappointed to let that get past him.

  16. Match set to resume at 13:15 GMTpublished at 13:10 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February

    Oxford 0-0 Portsmouth

The supporter has been taken to an ambulance for further treatment and we're told the game will get back under way shortly.

The players will need a brief warm-up again you'd suspect.

Play was suspended after about 20 minutes so we'll have a minimum of 25 minutes of play before the delayed half-time break.

  17. Postpublished at 13:07 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February

    Preston 0-0 Burnley

Half a chance for Brad Potts as he makes a dart towards the penalty area.

Can he curl one into the top corner for a blockbuster goal?

No, it's very high, although he was under pressure from a sliding Connor Roberts.

  18. YELLOW CARDpublished at 13:06 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February

    Cardiff 0-0 Bristol City

A second booking of the day for a Bristol City player.

Ross McCrorie is shown his sixth yellow of the season.

And now one for a Cardiff player too, Ajax loanee Sivert Mannsverk has his name taken.

  19. Postpublished at 13:05 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February

    Cardiff 0-0 Bristol City

Robins forward Sinclair Armstrong goes on a bright run that eventually ends with him winning a corner for his side.

The hosts get it clear with relative ease.

  20. 'It's gone quieter since the start'published at 13:01 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February

    Cardiff 0-0 Bristol City

    Alistair Durden
    BBC Radio Bristol commentator

The atmosphere was pretty raucous at the start of the game but it's gone a little quieter, which is surprising for a game like this.
