  1. 'McMenamin gives us platform to play' - Robinsonpublished at 12:10 28 April

St Mirren boss Stephen Robinson tells BBC Scotland: "The boys have trained really well for the last two weeks. We’ve had a nice wee break since the last game. Ryan (Strain) and Conor (McMenamin) had a brilliant partnership earlier on in the season; both are now fit and ready to go. I think McMenamin gives us a real platform to play from.

"We’re strong, but unfortunately we’ve lost Kwon (Hyeok-kyu) for potentially the rest of the season with a hamstring injury and Keanu Baccus has been ill all week as well, so a couple of things have forced my hand in system and personnel.

"You look at the names on their team sheet, with the wide array of talent they have, there is no weakness there. Losing a game doesn’t make them a weak side. They’ll come out all guns blazing. I’ve seen them in the semi-final last week when they played really well. They’ve got players who can win a game in a heartbeat.

"We need to concentrate on what we can do. We’ve had lots of good moments against Rangers and Celtic this season without getting the product. The concentration levels have to be high."

St Mirren manager Stephen Robinson tells me there's "no weakness" in the Rangers side, despite a run of league games in which they've only picked up five of the last available 15 points.

He does concede, however, that it's "been too long" since the Buddies recorded a league win over the Ibrox side.

Christmas Eve 2011, to be precise. Is today the day that all changes?

Rangers manager Philippe Clement tells BBC Scotland: "Like every game at Rangers, it’s must win. No difference there. The closer you come to the end, the more decisive things seem to be but if you lose points along the way it is also decisive.

"We came from a situation where we were seven or eight points behind, that is not the case now. We just want to continue giving our ultimate best to take three points from everywhere.

"There is not one team who just comes on the pitch and wins all games. That’s good for the league. There can still be a lot of twists and changes, we just need to focus on ourselves and getting three points against whoever we play.

"It’s always difficult decisions with quality players. I expect Connor (Goldson) will be playing the next couple of weeks and next season. These are decisions you have to make. It’s about every game and what is best for the team, it’s not against anybody. I’m happy I can make those decisions."

  5. Strain returns in one of four Buddies changespublished at 12:00 28 April

    St Mirren v Rangers (12:30)

Right-back Ryan Strain starts for St Mirren in one of four changes made by Stephen Robinson following last weekend's 3-0 defeat by Celtic.

But fellow Australia international Keanu Baccus, who has been ill all week, drops to the bench along with forward Toyosi Olusanya and defenders Richard Taylor and Elvis Bwomono.

Conor McMenamin replaces Baccus in midfield, while defender James Bolton and striker Mikael Mandron also come into the starting line-up.

Greg Kiltie is fit enough to retain his place after recovering from the knock that forced the forward off at Celtic Park.

Rabbi Matondo joins fellow forward Abdallah Sima, who came off in last week's Scottish Cup semi-final win over Hearts, in missing out.
