The record for a Championship season is QPR's 25 in 2010-11. At this rate the Clarets could have that beaten by the end of February!

    Championship table

Here's how the Championship table is looking with 45 minutes of tonight's two games still to play.

Burnley will end the night second if they can see out their 1-0 lead over Oxford United and about 10 teams will be hoping that QPR can hold on to their 1-0 advantage over fifth-placed Blackburn.

It looks like there's just two play-off spots up for grabs this season and there are A LOT of teams in the hunt for them with 16 matches to go.

  12. EFL Trophy updatepublished at 20:41 Greenwich Mean Time 4 February

Wrexham look to be easing into a quarter final spot in the EFL Trophy as they lead Port Vale 3-1 in what was a 19:00 GMT kick off.

Second half goals from Harry Ashfield and Elliot Lee have the Welsh side in charge.

The two quarter final ties being player tonight have been rather less action packed so far.

Rotherham are drawing 0-0 with League Two Bradford and runaway League One leaders Birmingham are being held by Stevenage by the same scoreline.

    HT: QPR 1-0 Blackburn

    Mick Payne
England C goalkeeping coach on BBC Radio Lancashire

I think QPR deserve to go in in front. Saying that, they were given a gift and once they had that they could boss the game.

They've had the freedom and they've made it difficult for Blackburn to bring the ball out. John Eustace will have his work cut out at half-time.

Newport County are leading 1-0 against Morecambe after a tidy finish by Joe Thomas. The Shrimps will be desperate to give themselves a chance to get out of the drop zone for the first time since August.

Cameron Congreve gave Bromley the lead against Salford after 13 minutes, before Michael Cheek made it 2-0 before the half time break.

  15. Clarets look confidentpublished at 20:36 Greenwich Mean Time 4 February

    HT: Burnley 1-0 Oxford

    David Unsworth
Former Burnley and Everton defender on BBC Radio Lancashire

Burnley should be two or three goals up.

It's been a confident display. I fully expect them to go on and win this by a couple more goals.

Oxford don't pose much of a threat and I've been disappointed with them, given their form.

  16. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:34 Greenwich Mean Time 4 February

    QPR 1-0 Blackburn

    Michael FreyImage source, PA Media

This has been excellent football with both sides getting chances, but you have to say QPR deserve their lead.

It came early doors thanks to a deflected strike by Michael Frey, who was able to make the most of a free-kick by Ilias Chair.

A word on Chair: Electric, truly electric. But the finishing hasn't been there, and because of that Blackburn go into the break with a dog still left in this fight.

Big second half needed from John Eustace's side.

So far so good for the home side after they ended their long wait for a goal at home.

Sure they probably weren't expecting their drought, which stretched back to 21 December, to be ended by Oxford defender Michal Helik but you take what you can get in this game.

The Clarets have been decent value for their lead but, with the away side unbeaten in nine league games themselves, they'll know there is still life in this one yet.

Burnley will go back up to second if they can get this across the line.

  18. CLOSE!published at 20:31 Greenwich Mean Time 4 February

    QPR 1-0 Blackburn

Ilias Chair drives forward into the Blackburn danger zone, cuts inside and put a Rovers defender on his backside.

He does everything perfectly but drags his shot just wide of Aynsley Pears' post once again.

Will they regret all these missed chances?

    Blackburn are still in it.

  19. Postpublished at 20:30 Greenwich Mean Time 4 February

So, whatever happens tonight Burnley are going to avoid drawing four successive home games 0-0.

I'm sure Wolves fans will be delighted their record remains unmatched.

Meanwhile, on the pitch, Oxford midfielder Will Vaulks is the first player to be booked this evening.

    It's one-touch, two-touch football.

They look like a team high on confidence and they're in control of this game.

I think Matos looks lively for Oxford but other than that, Burnley look comfortable.
