  1. FULL-TIME St Mirren 0-1 Dundee Unitedpublished at 16:54 British Summer Time 5 October 2024

A big win for Dundee United as they extend their unbeaten away run in the league to four matches.

Emmanuel Adegboyega's close-range header wins it. It wasn't a classic, but right now the away fans in Paisley don't care.

St Mirren had chances, but it's now one win in 10 matches for Stephen Robinson's side.

    Matty Kennedy

Kilmarnock are back in this but Dundee goalkeeper Jon McCracken should do better as he lets Matty Kennedy's low show squirm over the line.

  4. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 16:46 British Summer Time 5 October 2024

    Dundee 2-0 Kilmarnock

That was never going to count.

Kyle Vassell's goalbound shot for Kilmarnock was blocked but it deflected to Marley Watkins who smashed home - but he was a good few yards offside.

  5. goal

GOAL Dundee 2-0 Kilmarnockpublished at 16:43 British Summer Time 5 October 2024

    Oluwaseun Adewumi

What a finish, and surely that's all three points!

It's a simple flick on from Seb Palmer-Houlden from a goal-kick. The ball bounces between keeper and defender. Oluwaseun Adewumi wrestles Jack Burroughs and manages to chip the keeper at the same time.

    Brilliant technique.

    Scenes in the away end.

  8. Postpublished at 16:39 British Summer Time 5 October 2024

    Dundee 1-0 Kilmarnock

That is embarrassing from Oluwaseun Adewumi. He does brilliantly to chase a long ball and tries to touch it round the keeper, but he goes down.

He's back up quickly when he realises he's not getting it.

GOAL St Mirren 0-1 Dundee Unitedpublished at 16:32 British Summer Time 5 October 2024

    Emmanuel Adegboyega

It always felt like the breakthrough would come from a set piece!

A corner is headed to the edge of the box and Ross Docherty's thumping effort rattles through to goalkeeper Ellery Balcombe.

He can't gather and Adegboyega is there to nod United into the lead!

Kofi Balmer's long throw is causing carnage.

Another meets the head of Liam Gordon at the front post, but Hibs keeper Josef Bursik claims.

  13. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 16:31 British Summer Time 5 October 2024

Well super-sub Moses Ebiye thinks he's given his side the lead again but he strays just offside before finishing.

  14. Nice applause for Stephensonpublished at 16:30 British Summer Time 5 October 2024

    St Mirren 0-0 Dundee United

    Kheredine Idessane
    BBC Scotland at the SMISA

Dundee United's on-loan right back from Liverpool, Luca Stephenson, looks a good player to me. Hence the quality of his parent club. Nice round of applause from the United fans as he comes off, replaced by Miller Thomson.

I reckon Stephenson will make a considerable contribution to the Tangerine cause this season. Kind of like Owen Beck, another Anfield loanee last season, did at Dundee.

  15. CLOSE!published at 16:29 British Summer Time 5 October 2024

    St Mirren 0-0 Dundee United

St Mirren should be ahead. A corner to the back post is headed towards the target by Killian Phillips and Toyosi Olusanya is in a great position but flashes his header over the bar.

  18. Postpublished at 16:25 British Summer Time 5 October 2024

    Dundee 1-0 Kilmarnock

'Wee Brucie' Anderson is on for Kilmarnock, as is Rory McKenzie, as Kilmarnock look to press home their man advantage to find a leveller against Dundee.

Liam Donnelly and David Watson are the men replaced.

  19. CLOSE!published at 16:24 British Summer Time 5 October 2024

    Hibernian 1-1 Motherwell

    This game has gone daft.

A Motherwell free-kick causes mayhem again and the ball breaks kindly for Zach Robinson, who somehow puts his close-range effort well wide with the keeper on the deck.

    St Mirren 0-0 Dundee United

    Kheredine Idessane
    BBC Scotland at the SMISA

Some loud groans around me as the Buddies give the ball away again. The home fans are entitled to be unhappy. The only thing of any real quality they've seen from their men today is that pile-driver from Caolan Boyd-Munce that was wonderfully saved by James Walton. Hence the double change right now. Greg Kiltie and James Scott replace Kevin van Veen and Roland Idowu. The latter was decent, in fairness to him. Van Veen never got into the game at all.
