    Dundee 1-0 Kilmarnock

Kyle Vassell took a sore one in a challenge from Mo Sylla - who, incidentally, seems to have recovered fine after collapsing last week.

Kilmarnock continue forward and Matty Kennedy whips a cross in, but David Watson's header is well gathered.

Dundee deserve that lead. They’ve been the slightly better team here.

They’ve been good on the ball looking to get forward and, out of possession, they look to win the ball back.

Killie haven’t quite settled as yet.

  5. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 15:29 British Summer Time 5 October 2024

    St Mirren 0-0 Dundee United

St Mirren want a penalty here.

It's brilliant work from Toyosi Olusanya as he jinks in from the left and plays a one-two with Kevin van Veen.

The forward re-gathers, moves towards goal and then goes down as Declan Gallagher comes across to meet him.

A look at the replay suggests he may have gone down too easily.

Dundee have started this one the better of the two sides here. They look eager to get forward and are playing some good stuff as they do that. Out of possession they're fighting hard to win the ball back with plenty of success. A decent start from them. Kilmarnock haven't quite settled yet.

Remember how I said this game had started brightly? Scrap that now. It's been bang average for the past 15 minutes or so.

Home manager Stephen Robinson is animated down to my left at the inability of his side to get a cross in when the offer is there.

A yard or so to his right, visiting gaffer Jim Goodwin bemoans his goalkeeper's decision to punch rather than catch before watching in disbelief as defender Emmanuel Adegboyega shows why he isn't playing further forward with an 'air swipe' from three yards out when any decent contact would have opened the scoring.

  9. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:25 British Summer Time 5 October 2024

    Hibernian 0-0 Motherwell

An incredible double save from Aston Oxborough!

Jordan Obita's perfect cross is met by Mykola Kuharevich, who is denied at point-blank range before his follow-up effort is poked straight at the keeper.

The resulting corner is also met by the Hibs striker, but Lennon Miller clears the header off the line.

    Ziyad Larkeche

He almost scored a minute ago - this time he makes no mistake!

Lyall Cameron plays in the left-back with a lovely disguised pass, and the Frenchman drills it across the keeper and into the far corner.

    A deserved lead for Dundee.

    St Mirren 0-0 Dundee United

Killian Phillips is close to turning in Caolan Boyd-Munce's cross at the back post, but his connection on the stretch is poor.

Up the other end, Emmanuel Adeboyega should put United in front from close range after a free kick is headed to the back post.

He sclaffs his effort from six yards, though.

  13. YELLOW CARDpublished at 15:19 British Summer Time 5 October 2024

    Hibernian 0-0 Motherwell

Nectar Triantis is into the book for a dive in the Well box.

The Hibs midfielder seemed to spot Paul McGinn's leg coming out and took a leap over it.

Out comes a card from the referee and the VAR doesn't get involved.

Kofi Balmer launches a Rory Delap-esque throw into the Hibs box, which is cleared and the hosts are away.

Junior Hoilett drives into the Well area but his cross is turned behind for a corner, which is headed wide by Liam Miller.

Arms folded, prowling their technical areas, the respective managers seem happy enough with the opening 15 minutes or so. There's a wee lull to proceedings, with the energy of the opening spell diminished. Right on cue, home boss Stephen Robinson gets more animated, urging his men to up the tempo.

Looks solid defensively and he's motoring up the left when it's on.
