Rodri needs to be sold or let go. He is too prone to injury and I feel like any return is a false horizon. I don't think he makes City much better anyway - don't know how he won the Ballon d'Or.

Aston Villa v Man City (Sun, 14:00 GMT)

    Manchester City

Man City boss Pep Guardiola on the rise of long throw-ins: "Well we'd have to buy a player with strong shoulders and arms to put the ball in [to the box] and we don't have it. Before we had Kyle [Walker] and we didn't use him.

"It's a tendency in many clubs, it's like a corner and it's not easy. Brentford do it, Tottenham and Arsenal as well. It doesn't matter if I like or don't like. It's a weapon and we have to adapt."

Surely not a concern. If they were barely scoring then maybe, but they are currently top scorers in the league. They create the chances and if he wasn't on the end of them then someone else would be (not converting as prolifically mind).

    George, Leeds

At least with the Haaland problem you have got plenty of goals every season. Gutted United didn't sign him under Ten Hag, imagine him in our team now!

While Haaland continues to impress, what does it say about Man City's reliance on the striker?

With 11 league goals to his name, the Citizens have only four other goalscorers this season, all with one goal each; Tijjani Reijnders, Phil Foden, Matheus Nunes and Rayan Cherki (plus two own goals).

It can't be a bad thing for your striker to be so prolific but should it be a concern that Pep can't seem to find goals from elsewhere?

Jeez! I bet you're fun art parties Warwick... good to see you are judging Delap after barely playing 400 minutes for Chelsea. Reminder that Thierry Henry didn't score in his first 7 games for Arsenal.

    Stan, London

Who on earth would wish players from their own team to remain injured? Baffling statement.

Erling Haaland is putting up his best numbers since joining Manchester City three years ago.

The striker has already netted 11 times this Premier League campaign, half of his total from 2024-25, grabbed one assist and has made the most shots on target per 90 (2.37) since his 2019-20 season with RB Salzburg (2.39).

Add his four Champions League goals in three matches, the Norwegian could be set for his finest term.
