    Birmingham 0-0 Swansea

Neither side have settled into this one. It's all a bit nervy.

Especially for the visitors when Blues summer signing Marvin Ducksch wins the ball high up the pitch but unfortunately for St Andrew's, their team can't complete the passes to build any real threat at goal.

    QPR 0-0 Stoke

Koki Saito strikes from distance for the Rs and Viktor Johansson gets across well to make the save and hold on.

There's a nice tempo to this game, pretty end to end at the moment.

As a Leicesterian I would like to point out that Coventry v Leicester is not a derby! We look to the East Mids for derbies - Nottingham and Derby

    QPR 0-0 Stoke

Almost an early clanger for the visitors as Nicolas Madsen steals the ball off Lewis Baker in his own half and plays the ball to Richard Kone.

The striker feeds in Harvey Vale and the former Chelsea man's first time effort is tame and straight at Viktor Johansson.

Could he have taken a touch there? Quite possibly.

Biggest test of Cifuentes' reign so far. A Leicester side that aren't quite clicking yet, but have a manager that knows what decisions to make and when based on their away trip to Oxford. Coventry will fancy their chances, and who can blame them!?

A derby game between two promotion hopefuls in good form... what more could you want to kick start your Saturday?

Leicester (fourth) are six points off the top with an impressive 10-point haul from their first five matches this season.

They’re a formidable opponent on home soil having dispatched their last three opponents at the King Power.

But they’ll have to contain Coventry (sixth) forward Haji Wright if they want to extend that record.

The American has scored in the past five games (including the EFL Cup) and his five-goal tally leads the Championship.

Coventry are just a point behind the Foxes and one of only three unbeaten teams left in the division.

  10. M69 rivalry 'reignited', says Foxes' Choudhurypublished at 12:23 BST 20 September

    Leicester v Coventry (12.30 BST)

Leicester City midfielder Hamza Choudhury spoke to BBC East Midlands Today reporter Charlie Slater ahead of the Foxes' M69 derby against Coventry City.

The Foxes stalwart says it is rivalry that has been "reignited" and adds that team-mates are well aware of how much it means to supporters.

"Derby games are always good to play in, they're the ones you look forward to," Choudhury said.

"I think it almost died down a bit because we didn't play for them for so many years, so it almost got bypassed, but the two meetings two seasons ago reignited it. We're looking forward to it and we've got a job to do it."

In the latest episode of Sentences About Championship Football I Didn’t Expect To Write, it’s Tom Brady versus Snoop Dogg at St Andrew’s today.

NFL legend Brady is of course a co-owner of Birmingham City, while hip-hop icon Snoop is a minority owner of Swansea City.

Neither of them appear to be here today, but their global profile means there’s a little more interest in this game than your typical second-tier fixture.

Birmingham have lost their past two games after a strong start to the season, while the Swans are unbeaten since losing at Middlesbrough on the opening weekend.

Blues boss Chris Davies makes four changes from their 1-0 loss to Stoke City last time out.

Striker Marvin Ducksch and defender Jack Robinson make their first starts of the season in place of Patrick Roberts and Phil Neumann.

They join Ethan Laird and Tommy Doyle on the bench as Bright Osayi-Samuel and Lewis Koumas make up the XI.

Marko Stamenic has recovered from the groin injury that kept him out of the game against Hull and is back into the starting line as Swansea's only change.

Malick Yalcouye rotates to the bench.

  13. Blues in a 'challenging spell' but can they stay unbeaten?published at 12:15 BST 20 September

    Birmingham v Swansea (12:30 BST)

    Media caption,

Blues boss Chris Davies hopes his side can continue positive home form against Swansea.

The patrons of St Andrew's are almost undeniably given the most value out of their season ticket across the EFL.

For 27 league games, Birmingham City have avoided a defeat in front of their home crowd, claiming victory in 22 and drawing the five remaining.

But the Championship is beginning to get tough for the promoted side and their scoring boots have abandoned them, going three straight games across all competitions without finding the net to concede defeat.

It's a worrisome sign for a club set to host a Swansea City side doing well in the league and coming off the back of a huge Carabao Cup win over Premier League side Nottingham Forest - but Blues boss Chris Davies says it's all about perspective.

"I think we started brightly in our first few games and we have just hit a little bit of a challenging spell with these few away games, but my job is to find the perspective pretty quickly," Davies told BBC Radio WM.

"I am looking at those two games as the harder games that we will have this season, especially on the road. We are back at home on Saturday, where we are typically very strong, so we are looking forward to that game."

  14. In-form Rs and Potters both unchangedpublished at 12:12 BST 20 September

If something ain't broke, don't fix it.

Neither Julien Stephan or Mark Robins have made any changes from their sides that beat Wrexham and Birmingham, respectively, last time out.

That means strikers Richard Kone and Rumarn Burrell start after both scoring against Wrexham, with Harvey Vale and Koki Saito completing an energetic front four.

While Divin Mubana leads the line for the Potters ahead of Million Manhoef and Sorba Thomas.

Six points and six goals in the past two games have settled some early nerves at Loftus Road after a slow start under Julien Stephan.

The Rs picked up just one point in their first three games of the season under the Frenchman but have since picked up convincing wins at home to Charlton and away at Wrexham.

Last season's League One player of the year Richard Kone is settling into life in west London with three goals in his past three games but the Hoops face their toughest test yet against the second-placed Potters.

And Stephan admits he does not expect his side's free-scoring form to continue.

"Playing against Stoke I don't know if we will be able to score three goals; probably not as they have only conceded three goals in the beginning of the season. But we need to score one more than the opponent," he told BBC Radio London in his pre-match press conference.

The Rs have lost just one of their past meetings with Stoke at Loftus Road.

After early pace setters Middlesbrough's win over West Bromwich Albion on Friday night, a win at QPR would move Stoke within a point of Rob Edwards' side and guarantee they'll finish the weekend in the automatic promotion places.

Mark Robins' team have made a great start to the Championship season, winning four and losing just one of their opening five games.

But they come up against a QPR side who have started to find form under Julien Stephan.

"QPR have just had two really good back-to-back wins, so their confidence will be there," he told BBC Radio Stoke.

"I know they lost heavily against Coventry but they bounced back from that and showed that it was just a blip."

Middlesbrough's 2-1 victory over West Bromwich Albion last night means they sit pretty in the top spot and can't be caught, though those just below them will want to keep within touching distance.

The table isn't such a nice sight if you happen to support a team in Sheffield though.

However, the Blades will be hoping that new (well, sort of!) boss Chris Wilder can lead them to their very first points of the season to see them out of the basement and maybe even above rivals Wednesday.
