  1. 'We're in a dark place at the moment'published at 17:17 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2024

    FT: Brentford 4-1 Leicester

    Leicester City

Leicester defender Conor Coady speaking to Sky Sports:

"We weren't good enough. We're conceding too many goals and not creating enough chances. We're in a bad place but only us can get ourselves together. We're in a dark place at the moment. We've got to pull ourselves through it and look at ourselves in the mirror. We've got to look at ourselves, we'll see new manager in training tomorrow. There's a full season to go and the new manager is coming in tomorrow and we have to go from there.

"We need to get better at a lot of things. Not doing things well enough. Can't accept that as a club, players and a team. We need to really build and get better."

On the mood in the dressing room: "Down. But there's a lot who need to take responsibility. We need to speak to each other and get the best out of each other. We've had a few team meetings this week just players. We have to do that because we have to look at ourselves and that's what good teams do. We're not showing that we are a good team at the moment.

"We're giving too many chances away. The whole team. I look at myself individually and there's a lot of players need to do that too."

On Ruud van Nistelrooy coming in as manager: "We're looking forward to it. Having a new manager come in and show us where we need to get better. We've been here before and we have to responsibility and try to get better."

  2. 'To go in the history books, that's amazing'published at 17:15 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2024

    FT: Wolves 2-4 Bournemouth

    Bournemouth

Hat-trick hero Justin Kluivert to Premier League Productions, on becoming the first player to score three penalties in one Premier League game: "That sounds beautiful. To go in the history books, that's amazing, super happy with it.

"I train them [the penalties]. We have a great keeper with Kepa. We try some stuff, the first one I stop, and look at the keeper, what is he doing? I switch it up for the second one. Then the third, he doesn't know what I'm going to do. I waited and he chose for me. Easy as that.

"We have shown we can beat a lot of teams in this league. I am happy."

Where will he put the match ball?: "I will put it in my daughter's room, waiting for her to come in February. And she can see how I did it."

On cutting team-mate Milos Kerkez's hair this week: "Yes, I've been cutting his hair and since then he has been contributing to goals. I am going to up my price a little bit."

    FT: Nottingham Forest 1-0 Ipswich

    Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest striker Chris Wood speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "It's never about that. It can be tough some days and you have to grind in as a team. We were great defensively. They gave us problems and they're a good side. They've got a good run at home now.

"It's fantastic but I want to keep going and keep pushing. The team is delivering chances and opportunities. It's easy when they're putting them on a plate.

"It's part and parcel of football especially in England. We know how the schedule can be over Christmas."

A day to forget for Wolves, but a place in football's record books for Bournemouth's Justin Kluivert, who became the first man in the Premier League era to score a hat-trick of penalties.

Indeed, he is the first player to do so in an English top flight game in 67 years - since Ken Barnes did so in a 6-2 win for Manchester City against Everton at Maine Road all the way back on 7 December, 1957.

Evanilson also made a bit of Premier League history, being the first player to win three penalties in the same match.

Crystal Palace's point against Newcastle means Wolves drop into the bottom three. The match ended with Bournemouth fans chanting to their former boss Gary O'Neil "Gary, what's the score', a chant some home fans joined in with too.

Boos from all around the ground at the final whistle. The only ones happy are those in the corner cheering on Bournemouth.

Not the most entertaining match and Nottingham Forest needed a penalty to get the job done but they won't care. Three points on the board and a first win in three games. They're back on track.
