  1. goal

GOAL - Stoke 1-0 Fleetwoodpublished at 20:48 British Summer Time 17 September

    Michael Rose (54 mins)

A goal ruled out at one end, moments later a goal given at the other!

Fleetwood never pick up Michael Rose at all and he's able to steam in and head home from a corner.

  2. goal

GOAL - Manchester United 3-0 Barnsleypublished at 45+2 mins

    Alejandro Garnacho

Alejandro Garnacho wins the ball 30 yards out from goal and it is then played wide left to Marcus Rashford and he jinks into the penalty area.

Rashford is crowded out though but a challenge just sees the ball prodded back into Garnacho's path and he hits it low into the corner with a first-time instinctive strike.

United cruising through. No shock at Old Trafford tonight.

  3. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 20:46 British Summer Time 17 September

    Stoke 0-0 Fleetwood

Fleetwood think they are ahead as a low corner goes all the way in but Stoke's blushes are saved by an offside flag...

  4. Postpublished at 20:45 British Summer Time 17 September

    Manchester United 2-0 Barnsley

A painful one for United's Manuel Ugarte as he clashes with Barnsley captain Luca Connell and it's not a good challenge from the League One man, who is lucky to not go in the book.

Ugarte has his foot stood on and also blood all over the right leg, just above the sock.

  5. 'They're having fun'published at 20:42 British Summer Time 17 September

    Manchester United 2-0 Barnsley

    Paul Robinson
Former England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

They're looking like they're having fun. It started off a bit edgy.

As the game has gone on, Manchester United have grown into it and grown stronger and they've over-powered Barnsley.

They're creating more opportunities and they're growing in confidence, you can see it.

  6. Antony's tough upbringingpublished at 20:40 British Summer Time 17 September

    Manchester United 2-0 Barnsley

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport's chief football news reporter at Old Trafford

My impression of Antony changed this summer when, along with a couple of other journalists, I interviewed him in Los Angeles on Manchester United's pre-season tour.

He was close to tears as he spoke about his tough upbringing in the favela, where some of his close friends lost their lives.

He says he has inscriptions on his boots and his tattoos that remind of those times and still goes back when he returns to Brazil.

Perceptions of what we see on a football pitch and sometimes quite different to the journey that individual has gone through.

  7. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:40 British Summer Time 17 September

    QPR 0-1 Crystal Palace

Palace lead through Eddie Nketiah's first goal for the club and he should have an assist too, but Daniel Munoz failed to tap into an unguarded net from only a few yards out.

  8. KICK-OFFpublished at 20:39 British Summer Time 17 September

    Stoke 0-0 Fleetwood

Back under way in the second half in the Potteries.

  9. 'One of those silly run-ups'published at 20:38 British Summer Time 17 September

    Manchester United 2-0 Barnsley

    Paul Robinson
Former England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

Antony steps up and takes the penalty. As he stepped up, I wasn't confident. It was one of those silly run-ups.

He takes a one step penalty but credit to him, it's whipped away from the goalkeeper. Bottom corner.

A Sean Dyche side that can’t defend is entirely pointless in every sense. Very difficult to see any hope for us at the moment.

  11. 'He should never be coming for that'published at 20:37 British Summer Time 17 September

    Manchester United 2-0 Barnsley

    Paul Robinson
Former England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

Slonina gets that all wrong. He should never be coming for that.

The ball is poked through by Rashford to Antony on the angle. He's running away from goal.

The goalkeeper should be nowhere near it, he should be staying on his line.

  12. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:36 British Summer Time 17 September

    Everton 1-1 Southampton

Abdoulaye Doucoure put Everton ahead before a header from Taylor Harwood-Bellis levelled the tie. Everton losing leads continues...

  13. goal

GOAL - Manchester United 2-0 Barnsleypublished at 20:36 British Summer Time 17 September

    Antony (35 mins)

It is a stuttering run-up from Antony but he finally smashes his penalty into the side of the net, giving Gaga Slonina no chance in the away goal.

    This one looks all over.

  16. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:35 British Summer Time 17 September

    Blackpool 0-1 Sheff Wed

It's advantage to the Championship side at the break.

Di'Shon Bernard's first goal in over three years is the difference.

The League One side have improved since going a goal down but they're yet to have a shot on target.

  17. PENALTY to Manchester Unitedpublished at 20:34 British Summer Time 17 September

    Manchester United 1-0 Barnsley

  18. 'Clever Barnsley'published at 20:33 British Summer Time 17 September

    Manchester United 1-0 Barnsley

    Paul Robinson
Former England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

They're clever Barnsley, they're really clever.

There's not too much prettiness about their game but they put the ball in the areas where they know they're going to challenge, they're going to win free kicks, they go quite direct into their two front players, into the wide players and they're going to try and get set plays in dangerous areas.

  19. Postpublished at 20:33 British Summer Time 17 September

    QPR 0-1 Crystal Palace

Should have been a second for Crystal Palace. Eddie Nketiah, with a goal to his name, causes chaos on the left-hand side of the penalty area, firing the ball across the face of goal.

Daniel Munoz is there and should tap into an unguarded goal, but under pressure from R's defender Kenneth Paal, Munoz can't sort his feet out in time and sends it straight into an out-of-position Joe Walsh in the home goal.

  20. goal

GOAL - Brentford 3-1 Leyton Orientpublished at 20:32 British Summer Time 17 September

    Christian Norgaard (45 mins)

It looks like Brentford might have a penalty, but Christian Norgaard doesn't wait around and firmly passes the ball into the corner of the net from outside the box.

    Play to the whistle...
