  1. 'You still expect Burnley to win this game'published at 21:03 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March

    Cardiff 1-2 Burnley

    Glen Little
Ex-Burnley winger on BBC Radio Lancashire

You still expect Burnley to win this game, but at 2-1 you never know.

Burnley are just starting to put the pressure on. But you can tell we struggle to score from corners, they have no confidence to put it in the box.

They are constantly looking for all these funny angles from the corners.

  2. Postpublished at 21:02 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March

    Millwall 0-1 Bristol City

Close call for the visitors as Joe Bryan releases Aidomo Emakhu again and his angled cross is parried by Max O'Leary, with Mihailo Ivanovic eventually volleying the loose ball over the bar.

Emakhu has certainly looked a threat since he came on and Bristol City will know the points are by no means in the bag yet.

  5. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 20:56 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March

    Cardiff 1-2 Burnley

Josh Brownhill goes down the box and wants a penalty but referee James Linington isn't playing ball.

A second look at that tells us Cardiff might have got away with one there.

    Zak Vyner (53 mins)

Bristol City goalscorer Zak Vyner celebratesImage source, PA Media

Zak Vyner probably wouldn't have attracted too much interest from the Lions defence as a potential goalscorer - but that's exactly what the Bristol City defender has achieved!

Millwall fail to clear a corner and Cameron Pring drills the ball back across the box, with Vyner in the right place at the right time to slam it home.

The 27-year-old's last goal came in April 2023.

  7. 'It is game on! Lets get another one'published at 20:56 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March

    Hull 1-0 Plymouth

    Peter Swan
Former Hull City player on BBC Radio Humberside

This game needed something like that. It wasn't the best goal, but Joel Gelhardt still had to put it away.

It is game on! Lets get another one and climb away from that danger zone.

  8. Postpublished at 20:54 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March

    Cardiff 1-2 Burnley

Ethan Horvath is called into action for Cardiff to deny Jaidon Anthony as Burnley work the ball into the home area all a little too easily once again.

JJ Watt be celebrating that goal like a Cardiff ultra.

    Anon

Burnley shareholder and NFL legend JJ Watt had promised goalkeeper James Trafford in December that he'd come out of retirement and play for the Cincinnati Bengals if he went the rest of the season without conceding.

It was fun while it lasted.

  10. Postpublished at 20:51 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March

    Preston 0-0 Swansea

What a miss from Milutin Osmajic.

Preston win the ball on the halfway line and Brad Potts slides it across the area but Osmajic tries to be too precise with his finish and places it wide.

That's two good chances for the Montenegro international now.

    Joe Gelhardt (47 mins)

What a start to the second half for Hull!

Sean McLoughlin rifles a drive from outside the box and the ball deflects off a Plymouth body into the path of Joe Gelhardt, who needs no second invitation.

The on-loan Leeds striker slots the loose ball into the corner of the net for his second Tigers goal - and this could be a big one.

  12. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:50 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March

    Millwall 0-0 Bristol City

Lions boss Alex Neil has made a substitution at the break, sending on Aidomo Emakhu in place of Femi Azeez.Emakhu is immediately involved in the game, dancing in from the left to earn Millwall a corner.

The positive is that Hull are still in the game, there have been a couple of half chances from both teams, it has been very scrappy and no quality in the final third.

There have been no real passages of play where you are thinking, 'yep, we look good there'. So far it has been sloppy with bad tackles, little niggling tackles.

It just looked like frustration and the fans are sitting here hoping for it to happen. The players were trying to get the crowd going, but you have to do something on the pitch to get them going.

  16. 'Cardiff back in it'published at 20:38 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March

1132* minutes later and it is Yousef Salech who has ended the insane Burnley clean sheet run.

Cardiff City are back in this one.

  17. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:35 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March

    Cardiff 1-2 Burnley

Burnley players celebrate with Maxime Esteve after his goal at CardiffImage source, PA Media

Burnley's proud defensive record is ended as they concede after 1132 minutes but importantly for their promotion hopes they lead at the break.

Goals from Josh Brownhill and Maxime Esteve had the visitors cruising but they had been warned earlier in the half with Yousef Salech striking a post for Cardiff.

The Danish striker then got on the end of Joe Bagan's cross three minutes before the break to cut the deficit and give the strugglers hope of rescuing something from the game.

  18. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:35 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March

    Preston 0-0 Swansea

Preston's Will Keane takes on Swansea defender Harry DarlingImage source, PA Media

    Goalless at the break.

Chances for Milutin Osmajic and Sam Greenwood for the home side while Lewis O'Brien has had an effort saves for Swansea.

It's good enough to keep us warm but little more than that.

  19. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:34 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March

    Millwall 0-0 Bristol City

Bristol City's Max Bird is challenged by Luke Cundle of MillwallImage source, PA Media

Both sides have threatened in patches, but nothing they've been able to sustain for any length of time.

Right now you wouldn't back either of them to surge into the top six come May, but still at least another 45 minutes for that perception to change dramatically!

  20. 'Maybe I spoke too soon?'published at 20:33 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March

    Cardiff 1-2 Burnley

    Glen Little
Ex-Burnley winger on BBC Radio Lancashire

    Maybe I spoke too soon?

The clean sheet run has come to an end. We have seen some missed chances this season and the two missed penalties from Sunderland and at 2-0 here I was expecting another clean sheet.

I feel the second goal just made us a bit complacent, and goals can change games. Can Cardiff be the first team to score two against this Burnley side.
