    Portsmouth 0-1 Hull

Hull have been the better side so far this half, they have played some nice football in possession and when in and around the box they have opted for the direct route most times.

There have been lots of long throws, crosses and lofted passes into the box which have at times made Portsmouth keeper Ben Killip look quite nervous.

As it stands, the Tigers are safe, lots of football still to play though.

    Portsmouth 0-1 Hull City

Portsmouth's safety this season is mainly down to their excellent home record.

A win today could potentially see them end the season with the sixth-best home record in the division.

Of course, if they do mange that then Hull City will be going down.

No sign of that at the moment though, the Tigers are on top.

  3. Postpublished at 13:12 British Summer Time 3 May

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Blackburn

Callum Brittain's cross-shot forces Blades keeper Adam Davies into his first action as he has to palm it over for a corner.

But the greater danger this half has come at the other end.

Callum O'Hare tries his luck from an acute angle, but Balazs Toth makes a good save with his feet to keep out O'Hare's effort from a tight angle.

  4. Postpublished at 13:11 British Summer Time 3 May

    West Brom 3-1 Luton

Luton haven't scored four goals in a league game this season.

They've only scored three on two occasions, although one of those was a couple of weeks ago at home to Bristol City. The other was at home to Watford in October last year.

Big, big job on their hands to stay up here.

  5. 'The nerves are settling in'published at 13:10 British Summer Time 3 May

    Bristol City 0-1 Preston

    Alistair Durden
    BBC Radio Bristol

The nerves are settling in here.

It's the Preston fans who are making all the noise at the moment.

Lots of possession, but yet to do anything with it. They're making all the wrong decisions.

  6. CLOSE!published at 13:09 British Summer Time 3 May

    Bristol City 0-1 Preston

Robbie Brady comes inches away from doubling the North End advantage as he dribbles forward and then unleashes a curling effort with that trusty left foot which beats Max O'Leary but also the far post.

Nervy times for Robins fans. One goal elsewhere and they could drop out of the top-six.

  7. What a miss!published at 13:09 British Summer Time 3 May

    Burnley 1-1 Millwall

    How has he missed?

Tristan Crama's low cross from the left finds Josh Coburn just three yards out in front of an empty net, but somehow steers his shot onto the left-hand post.

Will Millwall live to regret that?

A goal there would have pout them back into the top six.

  8. Postpublished at 13:08 British Summer Time 3 May

    West Brom 3-1 Luton

Within the blinking of an eye, Luton's Championship status might have been whisked away from their control.

The Hatters now need Portsmouth to turn things around against Hull City at Fratton Park unless they can pull back at least two goals.

  9. 'Stoke getting anxious'published at 13:07 British Summer Time 3 May

    Derby 0-0 Stoke

We were coasting for the first 15 minutes but all of sudden Derby have picked up the pace a bit.

Stoke need to make sure they rely on themselves and not West Brom. The West Brom score has lifted the tension for a lot of people but it's not quite done it for me.

Stoke need to push forward and get out of the mess they're in on their own volition. They're just giving the ball away at the moment, it's almost as if they've become anxious.

  10. CLOSE!published at 13:07 British Summer Time 3 May

    Coventry 0-0 Middlesbrough

Coventry are up to fifth as things stand, but their early dominance has dissipated slightly and Boro's Samuel Iling-Junior has just whipped a curling effort narrowly past Ben Wilson's post on the break with the keeper at full stretch.

Anyone who thought "lowly Plymouth" were going to be an easy 6-0 win hasn't been paying attention to their recent form. Their record does not reflect their ability in the slightest and if they hadn't had such a bad time in the first half of the campaign, they'd be a solid Championship team right now.

Regarding the comment from Dennis the Norwich fan (12:56). I'm an Arsenal fan and was curious when Jack Wilshere followed Ben Knapper to Norwich. Ben was player loans manager at Arsenal and is now director of football at Norwich. Jack had been developing as a coach at Arsenal's academy.

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Blackburn

    So close!

Gustavo Hamer is presented with another chance thanks to an Andre Brooks far-post cross but his close-range right-footed shot is just a bit too high.

Todd Cantwell not endearing himself to the home fans as he goes down again seeking a penalty. No chance.

    You feel Blackburn mustn't concede.

  13. Postpublished at 13:03 British Summer Time 3 May

    Portsmouth 0-1 Hull City

Results are very much going Hull City's way so far today as they look to climb to safety.

Joe Gelhardt sees a shot blocked by Conor Shaughnessy as the Tigers look to add to their lead.

  14. goal

GOAL: West Brom 3-1 Lutonpublished at 13:03 British Summer Time 3 May

    Tom Fellows (33 mins)

Dear, oh dear. Luton are in BIG trouble.

Three minutes after scoring, Daryl Dike turns provider as he sends Tom Fellows clean through on the right for West Brom.

Fellows makes no mistake, clipping a lovely finish into the top corner past Thomas Kaminski.

Back-to-back relegation is looming for the Hatters unless things change drastically.

  15. Riis risespublished at 13:02 British Summer Time 3 May

    Bristol City 0-1 Preston

You can imagine the chant coming from the away end after Emil Riis rose inside the six-yard box to meet Robbie Brady's corner.

It all came from Milutin Osmajic stealing possession from Rob Dickie on halfway and then setting up Kaine Kesler-Hayden whose shot was deflected wide.

Prior to that the Robins had regained an element of control in the game but now find themselves on the back foot and needing to chase things a bit.

You can expect Preston to dig in and lock down that defence, which has been impressive up to now.

  16. goal

GOAL: West Brom 2-1 Lutonpublished at 13:00 British Summer Time 3 May

    Daryl Dike (30 mins)

A major blow for Luton's survival hopes!

Callum Style swings it in from the left and Daryl Dike, starting his first game for 750 days, heads home from close range.

Dike's first goal since March 2023 is the one sending the Hatters down to League One as things stand.

  17. Postpublished at 13:00 British Summer Time 3 May

    Burnley 1-1 Millwall

Jaidon Anthony ghosts in at the back post to meet a cross from the right, but Jake Cooper does superbly to block the shot on the line.

Josh Brownhill then hits a powerful, swerving shot from 25 yards which forces George Evans into a stretching save.

    All Burnley at the mo.

  18. 'Boro will be relieved'published at 12:59 British Summer Time 3 May

    Coventry 0-0 Middlesbrough

    Steve Ogrizovic
Ex-Coventry City goalkeeper on BBC CWR

Coventry are doing everything right until they get into the final third.

They just have to find that final pass, there's been plenty of efforts.

Boro will be relieved that they have survived the first 30-odd minutes of this game.

  19. 'It's crazy in the away end'published at 12:59 British Summer Time 3 May

    Bristol City 0-1 Preston

    Gary Hunt
    BBC Radio Lancashire Sport

Preston celebrate, Bristol City are devastated.

A firm header from Riis straight from the corner.

It's absolutely crazy in the away end.

  20. Postpublished at 12:59 British Summer Time 3 May

    Derby 0-0 Stoke

So far, so good for Stoke at Pride Park with Mark Robins' side knowing they only need a draw to guarantee survival this afternoon.

Derby are staying up on goal difference as things stand but one goal for the Potters could change that with both Hull and Preston leading and Luton level with West Brom.

Not a lot between the two sides and no real clear-cut chances in the opening half-an-hour.
